Fareway Meat and Grocery

I always go to Fareway for my meat. The gentlemen behind the counter are welcoming, greet you with a smile and make sure you’re taken care of. Produce has a nice selection, however canned goods are a bit more expensive than Walmart. I’d rather spend my money at my local Fareway.

Great prices with the perfect selection. Meat counter staff are so good! They recommended a steak and told me how to cook it to perfection!

Very nice and clean store. Picked up everything that we needed and check out was a pleasant surprise had everybody laughing. Also picked up my tomahawks today and some T-Bones. Love the store

Always has the items I want in stock. Fruit & veggies are always fresh and not nasty like other local stores. Meat is amazing and always fresh and butchers will always give you their opinions on cuts of meat and how to prepare them if you ask. Checkers are the nicest I have found in the local area and always extremely pleasant. Plus, they take your groceries out for you and load your car... amazing customer service!

This is a great store. I get my groceries almost exclusively from the Urbandale Fareway. The store is clean, well organized and well stocked. The prices are good and the staff is friendly and helpful. I occasionally order online for pickup, and on those occasions, I am bewildered at how quickly my order is packed and loaded.

There's not a better grocery store in the metro.

I know the next few weeks will be crazy with the seasons of Thanksgiving & Christmas shopping coming into season which is why we went to the Urbandale Fareway store today. Needless to say, this store is one of my favorites as the shelves were well stocked, we didn't have any problem finding anything, & the Customer Service was excellent!! My hat"s off to the 86th & Meredith store!

Friendly. Enough employees for good service. Excellent meat counter. Clean professional looking employees. Prices going up. Can not afford bacon or other meat products. Grocery in general are up.

This is a fine grocery story. Their meat counter is legendary. It is a full service counter. If you don't see what you want, they will offer to cut it for you, and cut it right before your eyes. They offer good advice if you tell them what you need. Their thick cut slab bacon is meaty. Their ham steaks are easy to grill or pan fry, and are tender. They make their own ground pork and ground beef. When they cut their steaks they throw the cuttings together to make their ground beef. It is the best ground beef you will ever eat. Their ground pork is made the same way and they offer it deliciously unseasoned. They also offer it seasoned as a mild pork sausage breakfast sausage or as a mild Italian sausage. These meats are amazingly lean. They offer both grass-fed or prime beef steaks and can advise you what is best for the grill. The prices are not higher than anyplace else, but the meats are out of this world.
