Trader Joe's

It takes Trader Joe's, with their dedicated staff and crew, to make a huge success out of this unique location. As a former TJ Merchant I'm proud of you guys on 9th St.

Convenient stop for groceries and small snacks. Neighborhood is rough so be alert. Employees are very nice and make good small talk whether in the aisles or at checkout. Lots of nice common and niche products. Parking is in the back with two stories of parking.

I'm only rating this in comparison to other Trader Joe's stores. No comment on Trader Joe's itself which I think is more like a 3.5/5 for food. It's a common store; you know what their food is. Anyway this one is a little nicer and the quality of the produce is better than most other ones I've seen. There isn't any ambiguity about the lines since they just have one long line leading to every cashier. It's a more efficient way of organizing lines too, so it moves more consistently. There's free parking, which is rare in SF. It is busier than other stores because of that, so keep that in mind when choosing when to go.

A day with a visit to Trader Joe's is a good day. I like how the checkout line is arranged (one line, many cashiers, everything moves smoothly.) I recommend parking on the second level to avoid the traffic on the first level.

Always my go to Trader Joe’s when in SF. Their wine selection has steadily improved the past couple years, friendly staff and always busy. Covered and free parking lot is very convenient and always lots of spaces available.

Great store a lot of choice and very affordable ♥

I’ve always had good experience with Trader Joe’s and this one is no different than the others. The people who work here are alway friendly and helpful. Even during the busy hours, if you don’t find something in the shelf and ask them for help, they make time for you and go check in the back (unlike some stores where they give you this canned “if it’s not on the shelf we probably ran out of it” which usually translates to “there could be some more in the back but I’m not paid enough to go get it for you”).
They have good quality products at a reasonable price. Their cheese puff and the balela salad are very addictive. The individually packed trial mix is super handy for my hiking trips. There is always something new to explore.
They have plenty of checkout counters and again, even during busy weekends, the checkout process is a breeze.
I’m really glad there is a business that focuses on customer service and employee happiness to promote a positive environment. Since I switched to TJs, I don’t feel like getting my groceries elsewhere!

This Trader Joe’s is fire flames. There’s always parking. All the crew members are fantastic, great personalities. Relatively clean and typically stocked well. My go-to TJ in the city

Big Trader Joe’s in the heart of downtown conveniently located right off Market street. Come in to pick up sandwiches, humus, veggies and snacks for lunch or ingredients for your dinner. Organic fruits and vegetables are a bargain as are the vast selection of plants and flowers which make great gifts.

If you like wine or beer take a look at their selection in the room in the back.

Keep an eye out for their seasonal items - once they run out you’ll have to wait until next year.

This is my go to Trader Joes - and for San Francisco, this place is a great stop since there's TONS of parking if you are a car person. The parking lot is easy to get to and there's a ton of stuff in this TJs. It's always a quick checkout even if the line seems long and while I don't love the newer layout it's still easy to get what you need. They seem to always be in stock of things too and though I typically go on weekday days, it doesn't seem too crazy busy at any times. Big enough too so you can get whatever you are looking for - some of the smaller ones around the Bay Area I've been too are either too crowded or don't have as much stuff. In fact today I had a Zipcar for a shoot and was down in SSF and tried to go to the TJs near Park Merced and the parking lot was so full I just gave up and drove back home to the City and went to this one at the 555 Ninth street location in SOMA.

My fav Trader Joe’s in the city for convenience. There is a large parking lot with security. They have a very efficient checkout line and things are mostly stocked if you come before the after-work rush. (They’re close to a few tech companies and apt buildings so things can run out end of day).

There used to be a Nordstrom Rack, bed bath & beyond and Ulta beauty which made this such a convenient spot. Hopefully more shops come back to this plaza!

Customer Service is wonderful. Parking is always available now since the other shops that are now out of business. The food selection is amazing always consisting of great new items and the pricing very reasonable for everyone.

Great place to shop in the middle of downtown San Francisco with lots of parking spaces available. No need to go over about the quality of the products and reasonable prices!

Nice store. It gets pretty crowded, but the crew does a good job in keeping the checkout line moving quickly.

I come here mainly for the 85% dark chocolate and love every bit of it. This location is surprisingly clean and they gave me the bathroom code when I asked which was shocking considering the number of homeless around this area. Kudos to Trader Joe. May his store continue to provide me chocolate for the sake of chocolate.

TJ has everything you need in life and super healthy & adapts to new trendy food. The snacks are healthier - crispbread is the best I've had, add on Greek yogurt and avocado. You can get organic fruit, healthade kombucha, raw almond butter, ricola cough drop, canned wine etc with much lower price than the market rate. Also like their collection of bars - the nutty fruity bars. Beet chips are good snack.

A busy place in a convenient location. Standard traders Joe's stuff. Efficient check out, the parking lot is free and is located immediately adjacent which is a big plus.

Good Trader Joe's. Very smooth line system to get everyone served and their way. As Trader Joe's go, this one is maybe a bit on the smaller side but very well organized.

Parking is large, somewhat busy parking lot but okay.

This is a busy part of town - making it convenient and also... busy! Near bus lines and Costco.

I love the fresh flowers at this Trader Joe's!
