Martin's: New Orleans

Pretty sweet selection of all sorts of spirits from around the world in uptown!

The staff is very knowledgeable and responsive. I was very happy that they had Laird's Apple Brandy and pointed me to a high proof rum that's also good for healing and medicinal concoctions.

It was pouring outside so I decided to stay for lunch. The sandwich was stuffed and delicious, as was the tall glass of lemonade.

Great wine shop and restaurant combination! Order your lunch - (i recommend the BLT) and shop for your vino while you are waiting. I found a few bottles of French Chardonnay for better than big corporate box store prices so i was happy! Buy local!!

The most incredible and vast selection of French wines I have ever seen in any USA based retailer. Truly impressive offerings. A wonderous superstore of the best in the delightful world of spirits.

Came here to pick up one of my favorite rums. The Flor de Caña 18 yo is an excellent rum. Saw the Ron Zacapa XO for a great price and picked it up as well.

Great selection at great prices and a welcoming staff. Go here if you like buying your liquor without stepping over the dregs of society.

They make great deli sandwiches with good quality meats. Good salad selection, too. Grab a bottle of wine on your way back to the deli to enjoy with your food.

Have been going here at least once a week since I discovered Martin's last Spring (2021). I had been looking for excellent egg salad sandwiches and they have them. Beautiful, clean, very modern place. Does not seem like New Orleans at all except for the huge quantities of liquor. This place is not cheap, but it is classy and very pleasant. Went there yesterday Saturday 10 February on Mardi Gras weekend. Absolutely the best of New Orleans. Crowded but filled with civilized people dressed up for the parades. Lots of cute girls wearing short skirts covered with sequins. It's basically an Uptown White crowd, but not stuffy or anything negative at all. I still.love their egg salads and got two pounds to go. Just like my late aunt "Sissy Mildred" used to make. Places like Martin's make New Orleans. That's for sure.

Great selection of wine and spirits, but their cafe is the best part, especially the charcuterie boards that are much less expensive than other restaurants and twice as good.

Delicious, quick food. I was told they couldn’t take out the veggies I asked to be removed on my sandwich but received it without any of the ones I didn’t want! That’s great, awesome, quality service (whether they made it wholly new or did take out the veggies, they weren’t on the sandwich – fantastic and accommodating). Fun and happening atmosphere. But that little accommodation just made it. 🤍

Sandwiches were put together with perfection. I will be coming back.

I am fairly new to the neighborhood, and was so happy to find this gem a few blocks from my place. They have a huge selection of wine and cheese, friendly helpful staff, delicious deli and entree offerings. I haven't had a chance to sit down and eat in the bistro but I will soon!
