Breaux Mart Magazine St

I'm probably in Breaux Mart no less than 4-5 times a week. This is the main grocery for the Garden District and always does a good job. Every employee is nice and willing to help.

Almost always this store has a pleasant surprise in their produce section. And today it was the single greatest coconut I have ever purchased. (I lived for several years in the western Pacific by way of reference.) Last week it was a huge basket of Louisiana strawberries at a good price.
I still resent the corporate owners for being such Republican Party patsies and not paying their employees a fair wage but do love their produce section.

New Orleans is my second home. This Breauxmart location is great. It has great walk-ability for local residents or parking with security on days that I drive. Always clean with a wonderful selection of seafood and local spices. Friendly staff with great customer service. Certain items may be a tad bit pricey as compared to chain stores. But, if we continue to support local businesses. I’m sure we’ll see a decline in those items.

I don't know who was on the cooking staff for Thanksgiving 2020 but we ordered the preprepared turkey, oyster dressing and sweet potato casserole with the request it be done on Wednesday morning. It was "cooked perfectly," according to my mom and I thought it was really yummy as well. Worth the price and super convenient.

Really like our neighborhood store. I even follow the FB page. I thoroghly appreciate the way they handled the Covid situation and how they seem to have a positive environment for their employees. They award their employees and celebrate graduations and birthdays publicly. I prefer to shop here than any of the other local grocery stores.

great local New Orleans grocery store. It is not as large as some, but they are always very clean, well-stocked, and the employees are very friendly and helpful. One of the things I love the best is despite only having six checkout stands, they are always all open and the checkout personnel are friendly and extremely efficient.

Visiting NOLA looking for food and stopped inside. Saw a food bar and was amazed how good it turned out. 9.99lb and you choose what you want.

Offers a decent variety of items including liquor and daily lunches. Clean and friendly staff. Prices are more like Rouses or Winn Dixie than Walmart but does offer weekly sales.

Breaux Mart is a local chain store, similar to Rouses.

The staff I've encountered have always been pleasant and offering of assistance. A bit too pricey for my funds when items I need aren't on sale. But that's me.

I do visit for sales.

I went to Breaux Mart this morning and couldn't find the cheese I wanted. An employee heard me talking about it, had me write down what I wanted and told me they'd have it in by Monday. Then he realized they did have the cheese and he showed us the selection. Great service and I'm really impressed with their organic selection.

Although it's basically only a neighborhood grocery store, it has a wide variety of options/brands. Moreover, it has a pretty delicious selection of recently cooked "hot plates" from which to choose. The cashiers and other employees are also helpful AND friendly. I further like the always present police presence. A REALLY great store!

I live 6 blocks away and love this place. It's a little pricey when it comes to meats and produce but its always quality. Their bakery is great and has great prices

Great selection of fresh produce and assorted high quality grocery items, including frozen wild caught Alaskan cod, Justin's peanut butter, Pomi tomatoes, canned organic coconut milk, etc etc. Lovely staff too.

At checkout, with 8 pork chops, some cider, a bag of vegetables, some couscous, and a box of salt, my friend saw the total and exclaimed, "All that food for $17??"
We cooked cider brined pork chops this evening, and have enough left over for the rest of the week. That's $2 per person for a delicious dinner!! Thank you Breaux Mart!

Nicest folks in this store! I make a point to stop in and load up on snacks for the hotel room when I come down for vacation. Love me some Breaux Mart! Great quality and prices.

Love this store! I absolutely love all of their daily made specialty items. They have quite a few items that you can't get anywhere else!

The feel, familiarity, friendliness and comfort of a traditional New Orleans corner store with the reach and breath to answer every need on your list. Also offers more local longstanding touchstones and future "traditional" favorites at better prices than those not so local folks who claim to be.

I love going to breaux mart because they often have cuts of meat that others don't always carry (tri tip roast / oxtails, etc). Its a small store though, so its better to go for basics & without a definite list because they don't always have everything.

To those complaining about a boot on your car, I highly doubt they were able to put one on in the "two minutes" you were gone. There is always a security officer on duty, if you really and truly were only going to be gone for a few minutes, you should have let him know.

The butcher in particular was a lovely and helpful man.
