Great small market and food area. Breakfast items are great. Delicious grits and friendly service. Perfect place for reasonably priced breakfast. They have many other options too but we only had breakfast.

Amazing selection very tasty desserts! We had the turtle cookies and Gentilly Berry Cake Slice and didn't leave a crumb. Great selection of Zapps Chips and snacks for the road trip.

Excellent. Incredible food. Chef Christy is so talented her wine dinners are incredible and so affordable. Then they have special wine dinners by the vendors which I just found out about and went to one so happy to be able to attend that and have the experience of her great food. With the wine.

So this is inside the Rouses grocery store which is quite a surprise. What a really really really great experience. I found this after going to the Mexican restaurant across the street which was really a big huge disappointment.

I say try it. Give it a shot. The staff is sweet and I am very hospitable. They’ll do anything you want and the food is amazing.

Healthy, filling, delicious and super nice staff. It’s becoming a staple once a week visit for something fresh and consistently good. Pic is their club on sour dough with black-eye pea salad.

Update: Huevos Rancheros with Pulled Pork- another awesome, low-carb, high protein dish.

I stopped by quickly to get some lunch and I was pleased with my experience. Got everything I would expect from a Rouses, the store is just in a smaller size. The workers were pretty good, too. There's maybe only 15 or so parking spots, but of course there is street parking. I plan to come often!

We were looking for a place to have a pre-wedding brunch with mimosas. We happened across this place and OH MY GOODNESS is it amazing. The owner and workers are simply amazing. The food was the best food we’ve had all week. The French toast was :o :0 :o soooooooo good.
We had the mimosas there and the champagne was generous let me tell you.

Clean and neat establishment.For a small neighborhood store,there was plenty to choose from.The employees were really nice and helpful.

Best Customer Service, the chef and everyone is so helpful, great vegan food: chickpea salad, fried mushroom poboy, fries with mushroom gravy, eggplant, smoothies, fresh pressed juice! My favorite place in the area.

I year later 11/17/23. And I still love eating here. I come to sit and eat breakfast cause it feels like home. I ate most of my omelette before I took a photo but it was so delicious.

We LOOVE Freret Faire!!! The food is awesome. We have gotten The Frenchman several times. Some of the best French toast ever - brie inside! We like the omelettes, sandwiches, great smoothies, juice and bar as well. The prices are VERY AFFORDABLE! The people are great and we like to support them. AND they have the best musician come play on some weekends (Saturday morning to afternoon when we've been there): Raphael-Bas. Great outdoor area to have you dog with you too. Much love for this place.

Good selection. But why in the name of all that's holy do they have their cheeses spread over 3 different places in the store!?!!?.
But it is a good store.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Not a huge selection, but it has a decent selection. It's a little more expensive than the bigger locations, but you're paying for the convenience. The deli section is wonderful. Also, try the bistro attached. The butternut squash soup and turkey burger were delicious!

We drove here looking for brunch but didn't have high hopes because it's attached to Rouse's. Were we WRONG! Yes they serve on paper plates and yes it's a little informal cafe, but the chef and workers make some awesome food. Perfect omelets, fresh cappuccino, smoothies and juices. The cooks know what they're doing and I've paid twice as much for overcooked eggs at fancier places. Give it a try!

Yes! It's a beautiful grocery store easy to navigate. Back there you'll also find a sophisticated restaurant/bar incuding a fancy vegan menu. The place looked spotless.
We tried the cold soup, the vegi-burger, the Tempeh sandwich and it was delicious.
Most important!
They use a separate grill to prepare the vegan/vegetarian meals.
Attention to detail? You got it! Very courteous employees.
For the carnivores, there is plenty to choose from. The people seating next to us seemed happy. You can tell someone brilliant is putting all this together.

This place is tucked into the side of rouse’s but don’t let that fool you, this has some of the best sandwiches in the city. Cheap beer and great service!!! Everyone needs to wake up on this place!! Show some support!!!

Go to the restaurant section. They have the most amazing club Sandwich. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Fresh food at a great price.
