Kakos Fine Wine, Beer & Spirits

My father has been a long-time customer, and one of the managers, Giovanni, has converted me too. I went in looking for a gift for a friend, and Giovanni pin-pointed great selections for me based on the criterion I gave him. The owners have developed quite the network with distillers and other artisans to not only provide intimate knowledge on the products they sell, but to offer more exclusive and interesting products as well. They didn’t try to push the most expensive or flashiest bottle onto me, but directed me towards scotches and bourbons that were both within my budget as well as extraordinarily enjoyable. I will be returning soon.

Great experience looking for the Lions 1800 Tequila. They had it in stock and did NOT hike up the price like some retailers. Owner is so nice and pleasant to talk with.

Kakos is my favorite for two reasons: Joe & Giovanni. It seems that at every visit the Kakos brothers go above and beyond. They understand my madness for the elusive and distinctive and have never turned down a request for an unusual spirit, even if it takes months of trying to order from their distributors. They have a passion that is all too rare, and it shows in their well curated selection and support for the smaller bottlers that all too often get shut out of Michigan's spirits distribution system. Kakos will never disappoint. Here's to you Joe & Gio!

Always great selection and service at Kakos. The guy that works there, who is probably the owner, is very knowledgeable. I have followed his advice several times when buying something for myself or for a present and have never been disappointed.

Why did it take me so long to find this place?!? I’ve searched for gluten free beer and was so very pleasantly pleased with several choices! I’m assuming I was talking to the owner-very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Thank you for including those of us who can’t tolerate regular beer, but miss it very much. I’ll be back!

These guys are the best!!! You want to be showered with knowledge than this is your place. They have been to Guadalajara where the tequila is made and have the knowledge for bourbon too. Wine? Yes that have that locked down!! Want to try something new? They have the right drink for you!

My go-to place for the latest and best selections of spirits and wines. What separates this place from ordinary shops is the knowledge base of the brothers. These guys know their products.

This is THE place to go to satisfy your curiosities about any and all adult beverages . This is a family owned business and when you walk in, you feel like family. From everyday beer and wine to bespoke and limited availability bottles. Truly the best around.

Their level of knowledge about wine is commendable. I’ve been talked into spending less on a bottle than I intended to coming in and I’ve never been disappointed. They are such a great spot that I can always count on when I need a bottle to impress.

An incredible selection of liquor with knowledgeable and helpful staff. They have one of the best rum selections in the state and offered me recommendations on a variety of spirits.

I was in the store yesterday for the first time. I was really impressed by the customer service. I bought a bottle of Legent after a tasting at the store. I’ll be returning whenever I visit my son and his family. The owners literally greeted everyone by name while I was there. Impressive.

Not only do they have reasonable prices, but they have things most places do not. As a bartender for over 18 years I applaud them on their selection and pricing. Got myself a bottle of green and yellow chartreuse for the actual price, no price gouging. Cheers

Great selection. And if they don't have it, they will get it. Were in Newfoundland this fall and bought some iceberg vodka but only one. They were able to order 6 for us and pretty reasonable. Will shop here from now on.

The owners of Kakos Fine Win, Beer & Spirit have to be the most kindest and just over all Astonishing souls. Their absolutely the sweetest & Kindhearted people. They go out of their way to get to know you even if its the first time in their store. Their Energy is so electric you wanna talk to them for hours about their fine wines, Beers and just the overall day. If you come in looking for something In particular and they have it nor carry it at that given time you better bet they will have it nexts time you walk in their door.. Wonderful people who Run a Wonderful place of business. Can't say enough about Kakos Fine Wine, Beer & Spirit and all who make that place happen.

Kakos is a fantastic local wine & spirits shop. With a consistent schedule of excellent barrel selections, this place is a must support. The staff is some of the most helpful and joyous people i have encountered. It is easily a place i will always continue to support and look forward to their amazing curation of single barrel selections, all while being very mindful of reasonable pricing!

Aside from the their warm friendliness, this family knows their spirits, wines etc. I feel like I’m walking into a friend’s house when I drop in to pick up wine after work. There isn’t a bad bottle of wine in the shop and they stock quality bottles at any price range. They’ve always brought in something when I asked for it, as well. Customer for life.
