Came here for a business lunch and a then dinner with my wife.

Both times the food was great. The guacamole is so tasty. I like mine with a lot of lime juice and they don’t skip out on it.

Had one of their salad bowls for lunch and for dinner a steak/shrimp combo.

Both items were well seasoned with just a little heat. The staff is super friendly, our waitress Sierra was great.

Drinks were great, generous pours with the booze in the margaritas. Just enough to give you a little kick but did not overpower the flavors.

Overall, 5/5 - the server was super kind and helped throughout our visit. The manager stopped by and checked in. The chips/salsa are a huge hit - we asked for a refill 3 times. Crispy scrimp is a must have. Burritos can be turned into bowls (no tortilla), and was great!

This place has changed a lot since I visited then last time, it looks so much better now.
Food was delicious, drinks were good too.
Lots of vegetarian options in the menu.
We went to celebrate a successful fashion event, waiters were very nice friendly and prompt.
I would definitely recommend this place.
We will be back soon.

Wow, it was my first time here. I enjoyed the atmosphere & music. It made me feel like I was on vacation, forgot I was In Michigan with the decor and beautiful seating.

This is a must try , everything was great from the guacamole to the drinks & tacos were the bomb. Definitely will be coming back .. & make sure u book ahead it’s very busy .

I didn't expect much from cilantro-lime rice, but it is divine. Best meal I've had in a long time. Fun drinks too! The only downside is the price. Staff was very nice and attentive.

This feels like the “it” spot of Bloomfield. Definitely has a “sceney” vibe. Traditional Mexican with a contemporary twist. The food was great, high quality with the right Mexican flavors. Highly recommend the charred little gem and the cinco leches. So satisfying. It’s slightly overpriced, for example, an $8(!) up charge to swap rice for charred veg and $5 for the chips and salsa. And don’t forget to make a reservation!

Beautiful experience. Food was delicious and fresh. Only complaint was cold air blowing. Our service was wonderful and friendly. I just will have to bring a sweater next time. I highly recommend. The server heard me mention it was my daughter birthday and she brought out ice cream. It was vanilla ice cream, but it was the most creamy and flavorful vanilla ice cream we've ever had. I wanted to take a carton home. Mex is a must try! Also, the music selection was perfect.

Went for brunch on Sunday. Was a bit disappointed my the limited brunch menu but the French toast and waffle are divine!! The breakfast burrito was not what I expected. The filling was completely mushy, the flavor was lacking and it has lettuce inside which was off putting. Our server was so kind and even when my nephew spilled a drink across the table she was patient, kind and didn’t make him feel bad about the mistake. Overall great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m not sure if this place is new or revamped but the experience and flavors blow your mind. The chips and salsa and guac were great starters. The guac was so fresh and the salsa were packed with flavor. We also tried the crispy shrimp which to me were sub par. The mocktails were delicious! Then for entrees we had the mahi mahi tacos and hubby had the steak fajitas. Both came with sides of rice and beans-but we subbed the beans for charred vegetables—and honestly, these were my faaavorite part of dinner (beans are typically cooked using pork lard and we don’t consume pork products). The vegetables were crispy and charred, like they’re named, but paired with cilantro rice-this could’ve been an entree on its own for me LOL.

Staff was amazing. Place was packed with people. Reservation was easy to book online. Bathrooms were clean and had wheelchair accessibility. The restaurant’s decor took me back to Cancun, it felt like I was at a resort. They had a ton of seating at the bar as well as around it, more seating in the dining area for larger parties as well as outside seating. Had a great time at Mex and would definitely come again.

Came here for happy hour and sat at the bar. They have great happy hour deals for food and drinks. Service was amazing and so is the atmosphere and food. Highly recommend trying this place out!

This is an amazing little honey comb hideout. I've passed this place a million times and never actually payed attention that it's a restaurant. The ambiance is giving Frida Kahlo meets boho-garden vibes. Brunch options available on Sunday but opted for the lunch menu. If you're into quacamole get the Everything Quac. The Elote was chef's kiss. And the Duck Carnitas was exactly what I needed in my life on the fall Sunday. The pumpkin cheesecake was an acquired taste, but not horrible. Very rich and the whip cream taste like coffee/expresso. Just too rich for me. Highly recommend the Pineapple Rum drink and the white sangria. Great for a a date or a girl's outing.

The new decor is nice, food is still delicious! The chips were phenomenal as well as everything else we ordered. Only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is not to add wet salsa to the tacos, it makes them soggy, if they would have put it on the side it would have been great. Will definitely be back here.

I haven't been here since before COVID, but I'll definitely be coming back more often now. Service was top notch. Both my server and hostess were top notch. I can't remember the last time I've had such quality service. The manager was great too. She was walking around making sure everything was good. Food and drink presentation was great too. You'll pay a few more bucks here, but the cost is definitely justified, unlike a lot of post-covid restaurants now.

I ordered the kale salad with added chicken and it was phenomenal (it definitely does not taste like rabbit food lol). The horchata was delicious and was presented beautifully with a leaf and an edible flower. ❤ I will be back.

The big reveal, I liked the environment with the mirrors and swanky style before the remodeling. However, with the remodel it has changed to brighter and more open, which I also really liked. So decor being a personal toss up for preference but I liked it.

Our server was wonderful. She went out of her way to help with choices. For example, the Kale salad I asked to substitute the kale for another type of lettuce and the suggestion was to use Bibb lettuce. Brilliant! It was a perfect salad. I suggest you try that with the dressing on the side so as not to overpower the flavor with salad dressing.

Nachos to go. Had those. It's a huge serving which is great. But it didn't travel well, so those for sure are a dine-in treat.

Drinks were fancy. Pretty in Pink, don't waste your time. It's too bland. No pop. Tastes like lemonade but there is no lemonade listed. Needed more coconut water maybe or alcohol. For sure alcohol. Try a spicy skinny margarita instead. Trust me on this one.

This was my first time since the pandemic that I chose to dine in. There was a lot of room and social distancing was no problem at all. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. I loved the design of the restaurant too, (I took a lot of pictures of this place). Our Server, “Derrick” was awesome. Try this place. I feel you will have the same experience.

Keep in mind, one Reviewer said that the menu and food options were minimal, but I believe it could be from the pandemic, low staff and keeping the menu choices with a smaller selection is smart. Less people eating indoor, keeping everyone safe, and trying to keep a staff employed is the best choice nowadays.

I wish I could eat there everyday 🤭

Best Mexican food & drinks. HIGHLY recommend going there!

I absolutely love this place. I don't live in the immediate area, so I don't get there as often as I'd like. Their new condensed menu still has some of their best items on it, so that's great.

Their steak tacos, chicken burrito, and fajitas are all amazing. So is their salsa verde that comes with their chips and salsa duo.

Their margaritas are always consistently made well and are really good.

The atmosphere is fun and unique. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

The food was excellent, and our waitress, Isabella, was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The owner must have hired models for his waitstaff because they were all gorgeous looking. There was a bit of wait, but other than that, everything else was great. Their ambiance was cozy but noisy, and where we were seated, there were no TVs nearby to watch any of the NFL SNF or women's volleyball games. I loved their Mexican street corn appetizer that was so tasty and delectable.

My wife and I had a great time at MEX. We loved the boldness of the design and colors of the restaurant. It certainly had a great affiance. They have a beautiful bar area with many variations of tequila lining it above.

This was a dinner date for us and our first time at this restaurant. They have a simple menu with just enough appetizer and main course choices to not be overwhelming. The same goes for the drink choices.

We both had margaritas, which were quite tasty. For entrees my wife had the steak fajitas and I had the mahi-mahi taco platter, with one of them being chicken. My wife only made it through a third of her steak fajitas. They certainly gave her a lot. I had no problems finishing my tacos. It was just the right amount to be feeling and satisfying.

The service we had was impeccable. Our waitress checked on us often and was very attentive.

This is the place we were gladly come back to for another date night.

My friend and I had lunch there for the first time today. Joey was outstanding! We cannot say enough about the superior service he provided and are so grateful, as this is hard to find these days. The restaurant was gorgeous and the food was very good. The margaritas were even better. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much, Joey!!!
