H.E.B has finally arrived in McKinney, and it's been worth the wait! Nestled on the northeast corner of Eldorado and Custer, this local haven offers an extensive selection. The variety is massive, and a few highlights include their own products, notably the freshly made tortillas. The fish section is impressive, featuring rarities like octopus, hard to find elsewhere. Prices are excellent, and the shopping experience exudes a "local" feel. Discovering octopus and quality chestnuts made my visits memorable. I wholeheartedly rate it 5 out of 5. Pro tip: visit around lunch for delightful samples—wine, cheese, sushi, and cookies galore. H.E.B is a culinary adventure in McKinney! 🛒🍣🍷🌟

This review is specifically for the bakery! I have used the bakery twice now for custom orders and was very pleased both times. The staff is helpful and patient, the selection is great, and the prices are fair. All of this plus the cakes are actually delicious!! For my shower I ordered a plain 6” cake with two dozen cupcakes and did my own florals for decoration. All in all cost me about $50 (cakes + florals) and it looked like a pro did it for much more. LOVE HEB!!!

We found coupons right next to the items. And they had coupons for free items. Beautiful fruits and vegetables. Great fresh flowers and plants. Good prices. A pleasure to shop in this clean new store. We had dinner at the HEB BBQ inside the store too. The service was excellent. Everything was delicious. The brisket looked perfect. I will try it next time. It was not crowded.

This store has everything you'd expect with friendly employees, fresh produce and endless choices for grab and go foods. The sushi choices are plenty, and all are tasty. This is a busy store, so you may need to wait a bit for check out. I've found that the shelves are fully stocked and the checkout is faster in the early morning. It's not unusual to find bare shelves for certain items after 6 pm, so time your visit accordingly.

For years, I've always heard others rave about how wonderful HEB was. I always thought. It's just a grocery store. Well HEB built a store 7 minutes from my home. Well, I'm now a believer. HEB is simply on another level. You can buy everything from local fruits, cheeses, and wine. They even sell high end pots and pans. I also love how they have checkers vs those annoying self check outs. The other amazing thing is, the store was packed, however the check out line was super fast. HEB definitely gets a 5 star rating in my book:)

Opening Day…we braved it and had a great experience. They had SO many staff and managers in the store and everything was running very smoothly. I have never been a fan of HEB but I am now. This is the nicest HEB I have ever been in (compared to a waco and Corpus Christi). The meat was amazing (grass fed and prime options available) and the produce was awesome as well and more options than most grocery stores. Great bakery and prepared food as well. We didn’t try the restaurant inside the store but look forward to it next time!

This place is almost completely empty at 630 am! It was crazy town on Sunday afternoon!
We love HEB. The kids all to go there for something fun to do.

And they have amazing Tortillas and HEB brand gummy bears!

Excellent location! The staff are friendly and helpful. It is usually quite busy and most of the staff seem quite pleasant. The selection here is always GREAT! The lines are long at times but they usually KEEP SEVERAL LANES open to accommodate. Not the case at some local retailers close by. Love the Texas theme on so many things. Excellent excellent excellent!

I make it a point to visit an HEB when I am in Texas. Jalapeno Saltines, Lone Star Crackers, Cream of Poblano Pepper Soup (for my queso), Cafe Ole Snickernut Coffee (yum!), and Sweet and Sassy Trail Mix are usually my staples that end up back in Oklahoma with me. Love this store and love the quality of their name brand foods!! Thank you for building one that is 3.5 hours from me and 10 mins from Buccees in Melissa, TX. Please build one in Oklahoma. :)

We love everything about this store! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The selection is awesome. They have a BBQ restaurant in the store.

So, it is large, has a great selection, is clean, does not yet have those "smells" around the Deli and fish counters or back in Dairy from poorly cleaned up spills etc. The employees seem to genuinely care about being helpful and efficient. The wine and beer selection is better then most...if U R into that kind of thing.

The BBQ joint attached is also worth a trip if U like BBQ. It is not world class or anything but for the money on a random week day for lunch or dinner it is pretty darn good! As noted, portion size and price are still well balanced. It feels like restaurant prices R ballooning out of control recently so this was a nice surprise.

Yes, it was BUSY, but I expected no less. Having recently broken my left patella, I require a riding cart, so I was concerned one wouldn't be available, BUT there were plenty! All charged and ready to go!

Allan and I went straight to the H-E-B "True Texas BBQ" restaurant. This is truly the best BBQ in McKinney & and DFW! We paid $13 for a natural lean brisket meat plate. This includes 2 sides and 2 slices of white bread. I chose the jalapeño brisket beans & potato salad. Allan chose the Cole slaw & potato salad.
Everything is perfect and excellent, with very generous servings.
"True Texas BBQ" is truly the BEST BBQ in McKinney and Texas!

Usually I have to visit at least a couple of stores for my hard-to-find spices. Thankfully, HEB carries them all! All in one place - I'm thrilled!

HEB mailed me coupons, so I walked in with a handful of coupons, and if one downloads the app, digital coupons can be scanned, too.
I ended up spending $212, and I'm grateful b/c I know my bill would have been $300 elsewhere. I'm thrilled! I've been waiting for our own HEB in McKinney! The ppl are friendly and eager to assist.

I love HEB! This is the only grocery store I trust to do the curb side with produce! They make it so easy and it always looks great then they put it in my car organized and perfect!

We love HEB!! We waited for this location to open for so long. The produce is fresh and happy with bakery products. The curbside pick up couldn't have been easier. One should try their fresh Orange juice in produce section. The prices are reasonable and coupons come in handy. We are satisfied with My HEB App and use it all the time.

I love this store and glad they came to the Dallas Metroplex. They have way more options than the other stores around especially if you’re looking for Hispanic food item, medicines, produce, tortillas from normal companies, Missions, etc. they have their own Bakery section and they make their own tortillas (different kinds) daily. As far as I can tell/see there’s not anything they don’t carry that you will need.

Huge store. There are plenty of great quality choices. I love the bakery and Sushi department where everything is prepared fresh daily. They have a smokehouse restaurant on premises. Also, it is a wide variety of seafood. True to their name...H E B
"Here Everything's Better"

I love H‑E‑B! They have everything this you need, from vegetables to meat to everything in between and more! We travel 40+ minutes just to shop at H‑E‑B, no other store compares, the staff there has always been so awesome to us, from the deli to the meat/seafood dept., they are all outstanding!!

Since this is the newest location in North Texas, they still have some growing / new employee challanges ahead but it does hold up against the Frisco and Plano locations in terms of selection and size. My main grip was with the lack of cream cheese icing on the cinnamon rolls but at least they had some. I can add my own at home so it's not a deal breaker. They will grow out of these problems as they get into the groove, so I'm not worried about it. Besides, my main store will be the one being built on 380 and FM423 which is walkable from my home. Not that I would walk it during summer mo ths as I don't need skin cancer.

So happy to have HEB finally in my neighborhood!! Growing up in Central Texas the store is a staple. We saved $100 on our groceries last night. Very organized and the staff is great!!
