Thank you Dallas Texas and Keith Lee for opening our eyes to Hutchins BBQ. The service was 10+ Junior was our butcher, he was friendly and good up selling skills. Thank you. The sides were setup buffet style (self serve). Everything was great and clean. They even gave free bread and unlimited BBQ sauce. Great 2 meat baked potato and Texas Twinkies.

Heard this place was the best spot in this area of north Dallas. Well it didn't disappoint. Staff was awesome and the food was even better. Brisket was a win. Unfortunately we got there an hour before closing and they ran out of Beff ribs and Jalapeno cheese sausages. Have to return to taste those. Love they are generous with the sides and offer a free dessert bar. Delicious!!

Excellent service from the second we walked inside. They have several choices of Barbecue Meats and Sides. Also desserts. I ordered the brisket and chose the creamed corn and macaroni for my sides. I then chose ice cream, peach cobbler, and Banana Pudding for dessert. They have many seats and tables. They also offer catering and family packages and takeout. They even have a drive thru. The brisket was moist and had a very delicious and juicy taste. The sides were just as delicious. The staff in the dining room were also very helpful and fast at cleaning tables and assisting customers with anything we needed. They do have street parking if their parking lot is full. Located on Tennessee Street right off 380.

Fantastic BBQ with outstanding service. Everyone who worked there was super friendly. The BBQ was excellent. Some BBQ spots are great at 1 or 2 things bu Mt rarely three or more. Hutchins BBQ is all fantastic. Had the Texas Trinity, ribs, brisket and sausage. Dessert is free and tasty.

What can I tell you? Texas = great brisket! Hutchins is a great place for a great brisket experience! As expected, there was a line outside on an ordinary Monday night, but anything worthwhile usually requires patience. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the front of the line, they ran out of pork ribs. Opted instead for their original sausage with my moist brisket. They offer tasty sides and complimentary desserts. I mean can anyone really say no thank you to delicious banana pudding and peach cobbler to end the meal?

We came here for our first dinner in Dallas and it was a great decision. My favorite was the pork ribs but everything was excellent. The side dishes were also yummy. Free peach cobbler dessert with soft serve ice cream was so good. Employees were very nice and friendly. Can't wait to come back.

We tried the family meal and were blown away! The meat was incredibly tender and literally melted in our mouths. The portion sizes were generous, especially with the sides. The service was exceptional! We can't wait to come back!

It was an hour wait to get inside but I think it was worth the wait. All of the food was really good. Kind of expensive but how many BBQ places are not. If it's good I don't mind paying for it. Do yourself a favor and try the Texas Twinkies. We will definitely be going again.

This place has blown up over social media recently and has been in tough competition with Terry Blacks, here’s my honest opinion:

1) You gotta get there before they open.. they open at 11 and we got there at 10:45am and there was already a line.. as we were there the line just kept growing around the building..

2) I got “The Daily Special” which is a chopped brisket sandwich with 2 sides. The brisket was sooo good!!! Mac and cheese slapped! The corn I wasn’t a big fan of (I loved Terry Blacks Sweet corn wayyy more!!!) Brisket was top notch - great bark and soooo tender and a very consistent flavor. Sausage was absolutely bangin - crisp bite, good flavor, jalapeño cheese had great cheese in it.

3) Service was incredible. Very tentative staff and all super friendly

4) Condiment bar was immaculate they had thick fresh bread not bagged bread, home made pickles and fresh onions and jalapeños.

5) They don’t have Coke products, Pepsi only. I got root beer.

6) Free Dessert if you dine in- soft serve ice cream machine (vanilla, mixed and chocolate), peach cobbler, and banana pudding

7) overall- I would say it’s better then Terry Blacks.

Terrys I would say is a 8/10
Hutchins is like a 9/10 !

Would definitely visit again!!

The Daily Special is the way to go if you love brisket (chopped brisket). The price has gone up a little over the years but for around $20ish, you get over half a pound of chopped brisket on an ample-sized bun, with BBQ sauce. You also get to choose two sides and your choice of medium drink. What a value! I prefer their Mac and Cheese (it’s so cheesy and creamy) and their fried okra is normally pretty good. Oh and if you dine in, you get complimentary banana pudding and/or cobbler (if you have the room for it!). Oh and try at least one of the Texas Twinkies, you won’t regret it! Just expect a little bit of a wait, usually the line goes pretty quick (the last few visits, the wait has been about 20-30 minutes or so). ❤ Hutchins!

Super friendly staff. An old BBQ favorite in McKinney Texas . Great BBQ and if you eat inside there is free dessert....peach cobbler and ice cream or banana pudding!
Best to go during "off hours" because it does get quite busy.

We only had time for 1 BBQ place during our visit and we decided on Hutchins after a recommendation from our friend. Super glad this was the joint we decided on. The meats were juicy and melt in your mouth. The potato salad was flavorful and complimented the meats so well.

Texas Twinkies - bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cheese. A better version of jalapeno poppers

Ribs were juicy, tender, & the meat fall off the bones.

Free banana pudding, peach cobbler, and soft serve ice cream if you dine in.

We went around 4 pm before the dinner rush and had no wait. Would definitely come back just for the ribs and Texas Twinkies.

Y’all have to try the TEXAS FRIED TWINKIES!! 10/10 recommend! Everything was simply delicious. The brisket was perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese was CHEESY AND DELISH. The Texas friend Twinkie is a nice size jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket wrapped in bacon. The pork ribs melted off the bone. The beans were also bomb! And then if you dine in you can get free dessert. Peach cobbler was very yummy!

Don’t pass up this popular barbecue spot. They are always busy but you will still get outstanding service. The wait is worth it! The barbecue is perfection! You can’t go wrong. The condiment and drink area were under constant attention to keep clean. Tables were cleaned quickly and thoroughly. You won’t have to wait for a dirty table to be cleared to sit down. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Best local BBQ restaurant! Thanks to Mikey Chen, we've found the best place in town. I hate those places for the tourists and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the food and the price of this restaurant. I will bring my friends and family who's going to visit me from another city/country to this place in the future so they can experience the real Texas BBQ.

(UPDATE a few days later: We have enjoyed two leftover meals since we stopped by earlier this month. Be sure to ask for marbled cut of brisket as it does much better with a bit of fat when reheated.) Well they sell outstanding BBQ even for parties that haven't been there forever (last here 2018). We made a trip to McKinney just for the BBQ from Plano weekday night. And lots of other customers had the same idea. Line wasn't too long to get served and plenty of tables available when we arrived. Portions are very generous for the price so we got a great meal again and plenty of leftovers. New for us is after serving the meat the cutter weighs the meat and puts a bar code sticker on tray for check out. See photo. BTW: banana pudding and apple cobbler were very yummy. Next time we will return to location in Frisco.

Got there right at 11am, there was a line, but we waited. Everyone was friendly and explained the process of ordering and how to use the self service. Also let us know there was a free condiment bar and free peach cobbler and banana pudding for dine in guest. The brisket was moist and tender, the ribs were awesome, fell off the bone. The Texas Twinkie was my favorite, the sides were just ok, the loaded mashed potatoes were too runny for me, were better after they cooled. If I’m back in the area I’d definitely go again, drove from Arlington.

I have always loved this place. One of the best BBQ spots ever. Today, I went with a group of great people and we got there right at noon which isn't the best idea because the line was out the door, but the weather was great and it really only took about 15 min to get through the line. I had the sliced brisket and some pulled pork. Both were Fantastic. The brisket was tender and tasty and the pulled pork is always a winner. Thank you Hutchins for your Great food and always friendly faces!!! Love, love, love you all!
