Gus's Community Market

Gus’s has the best selection of all foods out of all grocery stores in the city. Local businesses are heavily featured, and the craft beer, niche wine and liquor sections are to die for.

Gus's is a really nice grocery store. I come here for quick shopping, snack, lunch pick up. Everything is fresh, they have salad bar, soup counter, sandwiches and poke, sushi bar and more. They have multiple registers open and line moves pretty quickly. People are super friendly and helpful!

There’s a few parking spots available at their garage Harrison St.
it can be very busy during the weekend. Always very well stocked and clean. Live be also moved fast. They carry acme bread here. The produce and fresh goods are always very fresh.
The cafe is now open and there’s plenty of outdoor seating.

Wow, what an amazing market! It's a cross of somewhere between Whole Foods x Bi-Rite in terms of quality/selection but with the prices of Trader Joe's. Kinda dope, yo. We literally strolled in here (with our baby in her stroller) and browsed, never thinking we'd exit with enough stuff to weigh down the stroller! Their fresh sushi selection is awesome and it lived up to our expectations that night. Their sandwiches are also very good, maybe not as good as the rest of their stuff but definitely some good choices and quality ingredients. Snacks selection is pretty choice, with some interesting options like marcona almonds in truffle oil (yum). Unlike Trader Joe's and Bi-Rite, there's a decent amount of room to maneuver around. The staff is pretty helpful, too. Feb 2016.

Uji Time Ice Cream Hong Kong Milk Tea is the real deal, it is like drinking HK milk tea in Hong Kong. Definitely love to see Gus's carry their ice cream here in this location

Very good selection of food, all the food I tried made in house branded by Gus's are very good. Considering the money you spent here, totally worth it!

My favorite market in San Francisco! It’s a good spot to do some grocery shopping or grab lunch. They have a great selection of sandwiches, veggies, cheese, hot meals, and granola— highly recommend trying the orange fennel granola. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Pictured is the 1906 (The Quake) sandwich— salami, turkey, pepper jack cheese, and veggies. It has some spice but isn’t spicy.

Excellent coffee! A bit expensive and a on the small side. Definitely worth it if your in the area and you are a Coffee lover!

Love that this store is walking distance from us. Their produce is always excellent. Their cheese, meat and seafood, same.

I can't believe it took me so long to finally get to Gus's Market! What a perfect place for stocking your pantry and filling your stomach -- or simply feasting your eyes on all the possible items! I described it to a friend as like a Whole Foods but with better local selections, in a store the size of (or smaller than) a Trader Joe's.

The fresh produce is arranged beautifully with brightly colored veggies near the top, and loose-leaf salad items (spinach, spring greens, etc.) in bulk so that you can select the appropriate amount for your needs.

I enjoyed browsing through each aisle simply to see what was available. The line was pretty long and I guessed it might take a while, so I decided to try their cafe. Of course, after looking through the market, I was hungry! While in that corner, I noticed that the check out line moved swiftly, so next time I'll stock up more! At the cafe, the Caprese Croissant Panino ("panini" is plural, yo) was super yummy!

Anyhow, I'll be back. If you're like me and haven't yet been, try out Gus's.

Small but mighty grocery store. Nice selection of produce, a packed cheese section, some booze, a butcher, a fishmonger, and a deli with freshly made sushi, sandwiches, dips (the french onion is the bomb) and spreads, oh my! Fresh food and salad bar too. The staff are always cool and take great care of you.

Meat, groceries, seafood, alcohol drinks, etc. Lots of variety and kinds. Parking lot with limited parking available.

If all the most amazing grocery stores got together and had a baby this would be it!! I wish I lived in San Francisco so that I could go to the store regularly. I found these things called kiwi berries there which is basically like a blueberry skin with a kiwi inside the most amazing thing I've ever had! The rest of the store is also amazing!

A butcher. A cheese man. Good produce. Still feel Rainbow has researched their farmers for best organic produce, however the selection of both fruit & vegies at Gus's is of very good quality. Good selection of crackers to go with the cheese. Limited stock in rest of market overall is based upon physical size of building, however they do a really decent job across freezer, dairy, grains, etc. If you are looking for whole wheat pastry flour, for example, you won't find it here, but whole wheat flour & grains like barley, lentils, yes. Nice neighborhood feel. Very friendly staff. No matter the length of check out line, always surprised how fast it moves.

Their meat and fish department are amazing, friendly service and will handle special requests. Great sandwiches, and beautiful produce. Cheese and wine selection are A+. I called to find out about an item to see if it was in stock. The gentleman checked and found it. He didn't sound like most other people that sound like I'm inconveniencing him. I got disconnected and called back to double check what the answer was. Even though it was my fault he was very cool about it. Awesome employee give the man a raise. I came got what I was looking for was out in 5 minutes. My local store couldn't even figure what I was asking about.
