This is a good Jacks store. I come here a lot to purchase cheap giveaways and other items for my German events. The staff is always very helpful. The store seems to be better managed than other Jacks stores. Its obvious that the staff is supervised better.

An adventure every visit! There is always something new to look for at Jack's! The prices and variety are awesome! You are guaranteed to make a purchase every visit!

I enjoy shopping here because you never know what goodies are in the store. I try to go at least 3 times a week or more. The prices are fantastic on food. Especially vegan food.

Jacks are important because everything is so expensive. The basic items that we all need are available at Jacks. Don't expect fancy just expect picking up things that you may need to replace on a dime.

So grateful jacks. is located near Port Authority because it's a great place to find those last minute, odd things I might have forgotten and need during my day. For example, on this particular day, I needed a black belt for work. For under $5.00 I was able to stop in and buy the belt I needed, barely adding an extra five minutes to my morning commute. Convenient, wide selection, great prices!

It's well stocked, just smaller. I found everything I needed for a discounted price. Will be visiting again soon.

For a small discount store its Impeccably clean and organized with great customer service. ;0)

I remember all those years ago that I had to actually put this place on Google Maps!

It's kind of worthwhile cuz they have lots of different foods: frozen meat incl seafood, vegetables, fruit, meals & MORE, Dairy section incl yogurt, milk & Cheese (oh, a crazy amount of cheese including a huge wheel of European cheese maybe French) Deli stuff incl cold cuts, sausages, even hummus + other condiments and I just purchased 4 giant chicken legs from Purdue for $1.99... They also have most other grocery stores staples and they even take SNAP.

Have shopped at this location several times (am used to going to the 32nd Street location from years back, and now whenever I'm in the area), love the bargains with many brand name and other store name items to choose from. Wish there was a JACK'S 99 Cent location in all the boroughs. Wonderful experience indeed.

When you need to get candy for the movies I highly recommend stopping by. Cool inventory of knick knacks available as well. Was recently in the store and I noticed that the inventory has changed somewhat which sucks if you have a favorite item they no longer stock but usually they have a comparable item in it's place. Browse around, they're quite tolerant of that.

Inexpensive items of all kinds, from gift wrap to shampoo to clothing to groceries. Near the subway and buses. Accepts cash, debit, credit and EBT/SNAP/Food Stamps. Workers are efficient and friendly.

Been going here for a couple years.
Great deals on almost EVERYTHING you could need....and everything you never thought you needed. Unique products to make daily living easier. Healthier food selections (Especially the frozen section).
Really, you have to check this place out. They also have 2, equally as good, other Manhattan locations.

Had never been to this place! Not sure why! Fantastic selection of staples in your basic groups. Food, home, health and beauty. If you need a cheap suitcase, this place has it!
Another place across the street had close out and discontinued stuff as well. Worth checking out both when your arrive to see what you can grab for the hotel room or at the end of your trip to take home.

Always clean and orderly in this Jack's location. The staff is always attentive and helpful, gotta live that! And honestly, I go into this Jack's for one or two items and wound up leaving with a load of other stuff because of their polite staffing, note this includes the cashier's. One of my favorite lunch time errand shops. You can't ever go wrong going to this Jack's.

We stored our luggage here, using the Bounce service. Easy and good value for money. Everyone at the store were super friendly and helpful. Thanks!

I love the flea market/bargain bin ambiance with the modern atmosphere, and the wonderful collection of hair products that they have. Also the men's apparel, except for the tank tops ("wife beaters") that I purchased and the X/L was STILL tight on me. I also have a beer belly, so partially, it was my fault as well as the manufacturer's. Jack will not be put on the spot for that one, it isn't his fault, I swear. The prices are another “well done” because you get more for your money. Thank you, Jack's on West 40th. I will continue to look and I will love the visits as usual.
