Warhammer

I brought my husband here for his birthday. He is just getting into Warhammer 40k. We made a trip from Lansing, which was totally worth it! Josh, the store operator, was a wealth of knowledge, very polite, and just nice to talk with. He encouraged reaching out to him in person or with the store phone number to ask any questions we may have in the future.

The store had a vast collection of models to choose from and was fun to look at. We made a sizable purchase to start an army. Thanks for your help, Josh!

I'm new to all this Warhammer stuff and super nervous to admit that I'm into the world/lore/ maaaaaaaaaybe character model building around my friends. Walking into this store I felt a lot better about my choices because the dude who runs it is normal, down to earth, and super relaxed. I've been to 5 or 6 stores now and left before buying at half of them because I was too anxious from the energy in the room. Anyway, I like this guy. He's cool.

As always, the operator of the store; Josh, is extremely knowledgeable about all of the products he sells and is more than willing to help all levels of hobbyists with anything they need!

There are two kinds of GW stores; this is the good kind.
The manager, Josh, has a genuine love of the hobby and will enthusiastically mentor newcomers and advise old grognards in building, painting, and list-building. More than once he's stated a desire to make it a center of the hobby community where everyone is welcome and comfortable, and I do believe he's succeeded.
The shop's regulars are also a credit to the hobby, with the painters and the players alike being welcoming of newcomers. The painters are happy to show off their own work and gush over yours (or offer tactful advice, if you need it - I've yet to see someone be rude about this), while the players take quite well to polite observation and inquiries about their games (and if you catch them between games, will happily talk tactics with you).
Then, of course, there's the true test of any hobby store: What happens when you bring your wife. In the bad kind of stores, you come away with horror stories about poorly-socialized nerds acting unpleasantly - which is why most experienced hobbyists scout ahead before bringing in their better halves. Here? She was greeted just like any other customer and soon got into a discussion about Space Wolf lore. She even had fun.

I'll be honest, at this point this place is pretty much the only reason I'm still in the hobby and buying GW product. It represents the best in Games Workshop.

What can I say, it’s a Warhammer store! It’s got everything you might expect, plus some neat tables to game on. What really makes the place special is the manager. You can really tell that Josh has a passion for the hobby, and they are happy to answer any question, no matter how dumb (trust me, josh walked me through my first ever game of 40K!)

The owner is awesome. Super friendly and incredibly helpful. Completely understanding of budgets, so he'll never try to push a sale on you.

Ian is a great guy and a great salesmen, would recommend this store to anyone based solely on Ian if you're looking for help on the hobby. The models are expensive but that isn't anything new that's just Games Workshop trying to get their cut. This place has a great atmosphere and everyone is always friendly.

A great store and a great experience. Josh was very kind and helpful, taking me to the paints and explaining the different uses for them. I am very sad that I do not live closer otherwise this would become a regular haunt of mine, but I will absolutely be going back again when I am in the area.

Easily my favorite place to get GW minis and paints hands down. The owner, Josh, is super nice and welcoming and will answer any questions you have. He even helped me finish up one of my HQ models and it looks great. Great owner, great shop, I love it.

Great shop, great customers, great owner. Ian, the guy who runs the place, is possibly the most excited and professional person I've ever seen. I'm not knocking a star off, but the only real problem is that it's a little cramped for events, and parking is a nightmare if Trader Joe's is busy. Easily the best place to start your hobby off right! The place next door that sells middle eastern food is clutch, too.

Going into today I had no idea what Warhammer was. My seven year old has been wanting to go here and has been in once before .

Today we came in and picked out a set for her to start on. Josh was super attentive and helpful for us!

After we left i got home and messed up the assembly! My daughter was upset so we went back to the store. Josh was amazing and went out of his way to help and absolutely saved the day .

An excellent store in a convenient location, with extremely friendly and helpful staff(the manager, Ian, single-handedly got me back into the hobby after a five year break), and practically everything you'd need for the hobby. The only (extremely minor) complaint I'd have is that there just aren't enough tables for how busy the store is! On some days I've been there, there have only been two or three games going on at a time but there's definitely been a few games where people are waiting for tables to open up to play. Even so, I'm definitely going to come back in the future!

Josh is a super friendly guy who remembers your name and very helpful with tips on painting your minis. Love going here and it's a great place to chill hang out paint build and chat.

The shop owner I believe. His name is Ian, is just above and beyond amazing with customer service. He remembered us from the last time we had been in from several months ago and was equally as engaging and helpful as our first visit. Love coming here.
