Gordon Food Service Store

No membership needed. Not sure what they call the Prince Charles vegetable blend since he was crowned King. Best baby lima beans in the frozen section. Nice size and quality bags of chips. Salad is great quality and value, check the date. Canned foods come in large sizes. Closest competitor is Restaurant Depot.

GFS is an awesome place to shop. Friendly staff. Store always clean. Delicious food. Lots of fresh foods to try. Their frozen veggies are so fresh. I love the different varieties of foods. Excellent desserts.

Gordon's is good if you're cooking for a lot of people. Watch the prices, as some are a little more expensive than say a Meijer.

The staff is very friendly. I was able to place an order online and pick it up when I got there. They let me add some items on when I got there as well. Lots of great and affordable products!

You can tell the product line is tailored to restaurants, but they welcome individuals too. There is a large selection of frozen foods that you wouldn't see elsewhere.

Produce and meat sections are small, but have some good value items.

Not a place that I can do a full grocery run, but decent place to pick up some restaurant style foods and deals.

They are always very friendly, professional and helpful. I do quite a bit of baking and this is my go to spot for reasonably priced supplies. They are also rarely out of stock of the items I use and it's nice to have a reliable store when needed.

I shop here now for bulk purchases because they keep it stocked and it is clean. Also because when I order online, their inventory system is so up to date I know immediately if they have what I have ordered when I hit the order button. No surprises when I go pick up the grocery like some other stores. It's rare that they don't have what I need. They bring it out to your car like every other store. They always have meat too which is so nice. I gave up on Kroger having everything and use Gordon's instead.

Young sales lady was so kind and attentive, but sadly, I didn't ask her name. What she couldn't answer, she got the Manager, Kim. She answered Q"s I didn't even know I had about products I was buying. Kim anticipated these question's because of her vast knowledge of food service and restaurant experience and background. Gordon's made a good choice when they put Kim in a Management position. Another nice young employee, Juaan, my cashier, was pleasant and helpful at the the end of my shopping trip, by making sure my purchases weren't too heavy for me to manage. I will also add that my shopping experience was two (2) days in a row, because I hadn't thought through the need for all my supplies in one trip. I was very pleased with the experience at the Carpenter Road store.

Only 2 other people in the store. Clean and well maintained store.

Everyone we asked for we asked and was directed or taken to the item. Pam, a blind friend that I'd taken was very pleased with the very accommadating service also. They would put the item in her hand to feel if it was what she needed. Loved it.

Excellent prices. You can find big loads of food, especially for parties and such. Friendly staff.
