I love this place! For homeless awareness week every year, this grocery store allows the Samaritan Inn to park in their parking lot and collect donations. I saw so many donations from shopping customers! Everyone is so generous here!

This is a very nice and clean grocery store.
Well organized. Fresh made Hot Deli food.

Today I parked on the slope by the mobile pick up area and my hands were completely full, my 1 year old wanted to stand in the cart I was struggling to get my stuff into the car and Kai came out of nowhere and saved my cart with stuff from rolling away and absolutely came to my rescue. Kai is a great kid and I appreciated his willingness to help. Thank you Kai.

I love this store. It is so clean. Both 423 Frisco and the McKinney store too. The employees are nice also. The thing I like best is the ease of downloading coupons ( Kroger, take a lesson and don’t ruin Tom Thumb if you are buying them out). The receipts are legible, easy to read and no second guessing if you actually got credit for your coupons. The meat dept is freshest of any grocery store I’ve encountered.

I never write reviews, but want to give a shout out to this Tom Thumb! I placed a large order for pickup on an item that I thought was on a good sale, but it had ended yesterday. They personally called me from the store to make sure I knew because they didn't want me to be over charged. Such thoughtful and personal service! Everyone is also wonderful when I shop in store as well.

The baker at this location is awesome. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she did a fantastic job with our birthday cakes. We provided Ana and a photo of the color and decorations and she knocked it our of the park. Our daughter loved it. It looks as good as it tastes.

Bakery Supervisor was extremely helpful and took my order over the phone. My sons favorite birthday cake. Four layer round vanilla cake with raspberry cream filling, white icing all over, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries on top half, with chocolate drizzle on side and chocolate writing. Absolutely the best cake ever! Thank you!!!

Nice clean store, great produce and opened registers when it became busy.

Looks very much like a bigger Kroger than the one in my part of town, so it is transitioning well towards becoming a part of the Kroger family. There was a wide selection of grocery items. I was happy to find Prime energy drinks there, and I picked up an individual slice of cheesecake at the bakery for a snack. Store is clean and the self checkout person was friendly.

Nice store. Friendly staff. Came here for some eggs and I left with a bunch of stuff from the clearance section. This is not my normal grocery store. If I lived closer, I would shop here more.

Really good store if you are a member you will get extra discount on each and every thing here.

I ALWAYS seem to find really great deals here. The bakery usually always has something on clearance and for the markdown prices, I'd be foolish to not buy a thing or two at those markdown prices! Sometimes they are so low, that I feel like I'm stealing and I always have to take a double take to make sure the markdown price wasn'ta mistake! My daughter picked up a cake for my b-day about a week ago and it was THEE BEST cake I think I have ever had! Or at least, had in a very long time! It could have easily passed for a wedding cake, it was so beautifully decorated and the taste was PERFECT! The staff, although young, most of them are always so courteous and helpful. I really do look forward in shopping here for smaller, specialty items.

April 2023 - we went in on a Thursday evening at about 7pm. There were very few other customers inside. The shelves were all stocked. It was nice and clean.

Placed an order for pickup at this Tom Thumb location. When a substitution was found for an item out of stock I received a text message with a photo asking me if the substitution was acceptable. Kroger only shows substitutions if you download their app. (Hint to Kroger: forcing customers to download your app is not going to make them more likely to shop with you.) I also received a text notification when my order was ready for pickup. It stated I could pick up the order any time before 8. I got there at 7 and dialed the number per instructions on the pickup lane. No one answered. I called again. No one answered. There was no option to leave a message or be transferred to the customer service desk. I decided to check in via email. A few minutes later I received a call asking if I was in the lot ready for pickup. A young man, I believe his name was Alan, brought my order to me despite not being in the pickup department. He apologized for the delay and explained the employee had left a couple hours before. Perhaps that employee grew ill and had to leave early? Perhaps the template text message reply needs to remove the text about anytime before 8? Either way, Alan is the reason I selected 5 stars.

I had a prescription to pick up at this Tom Thumb location and the people at the pharmacy were absolutely the sweetest and kindest people there. And hope to visit this location again soon.

I went the bakery department to get a birthday cake and the really sweet bakery lady helped me and my husband. She was really funny and didn't try to rush us even though there was another couple waiting. She made all of us feel special and took the time to make it a memorable experience. The cake ended up being very moist and the frosting wasn't overly sweet or thick. Great service, price, and product. No complaints.

I don't care for the guys that works in the seafood department. They are so rude and picks which customers they like to serve first over others. If decided not to do business at this location anymore. I hate rude individuals, especially when you're not a born citizen, you immigrated here and treating folks like they don't belong. The nerve of some folks.

Always really easy to get in and out of, which is exactly what you want in a local grocery store. The store is clean and the shelves are well organized. If you are nearby and need something from the store, definitely don't hesitate to check this one out.

I moved to McKinney from Addison so I was a little surprised the inside of the store seemed a little dated given the area. But I've been coming here for months and have absolutely no complaints. Clean, organized, and just on point. I am also super happy that they accept payment through Apple Pay and the comps. I no longer wish to carry physical cards as they have been skimmed and stolen in the past.

Update: I learned this was formerly an Albertsons and that is why you see the remodeling in progress in 2022.
