Tumi Store

I shop at their sister store London Harness right next door all the time which has all sorts of high quality items like handbags, sports memorabilia, various gadgets. I usually buy luggage at mall stores, but one day I was in the London Harness store to pick up some gifts for people I was visiting abroad and mentioned to one of the assistants there that I wish I had time to go to the mall to replace my years old suitcase whose combo lock had broken. He offered to show me a tour of the next door Tumi selection, and I was impressed with the design as well as the pricing which compared well to major stores. He also mentioned that they offer free repair service right at the store which is a much more convenient trip should anything happen to it. I ended up buying a Tumi Tegra which is a very room, sturdy shell suitcase that has terrific organizing features inside. I later found out that the "assistant" was one of the owners, Demian, who was very knowledgable about the pros and cons of different luggage options. He happens runs the store with his spouse. Very nice family and terrific, personalized service!

The three reasons why I'll only shop TUMI in Wellesley are... 1) It's locally owned (#shoplocal); 2) Demian. His product knowledge is complete; I think he's been there for 20+ years; 3) It's the only TUMI with a Rewards program. I love getting texts about the points I'm building up. #ShopTumiWellesley
