It’s a smaller neighborhood store but has everything you need. Nice deli and produce.

So I’ve never written a grocery store review and normally I really dislike Safeway but I have to call out how great Ruben is. Absolutely the nicest and most personable customer service I’ve had checking out from a store. Put a smile on my face. Thanks Ruben!

This is a terrific, classic Safeway store. They literally don't build them like this anymore! Good prices and good service. Highly recommended.

Did the order and pick up. Friendly helpful staff. Sent notice when order was ready. They were out within minutes of me getting there. Excellent quality for the meat and groceries, could not have done better myself. Parking at the Ralston location is great, ez in and out.

This is the best Safeway in San Mateo. I found everything on my list, easily. And it wasn't very crowded.

The staff are really nice but as mentioned elsewhere in the comments the checkout lines are pretty long and they have some checkout lanes that are hardly ever used and could be utilized when a remodel happens to put in a larger bakery or pharmacy or a larger selection of items. Very convenient locations, worth getting a club card for lots of deals on many different things. The Safeway in downtown is larger and has a better selection but this Safeway typically has better deals.

The cashiers are always really friendly here. The food is fresh and they always are in-stock

We went in to buy flowers on Sunday night, and they had a great selection of flowers still in good shape

Is a very good place for a neighborhood grocery store that is on the smaller size. Had a pre cooked salmon dinner which was delicious.

An older, but more than efficient, Safeway store without all the amenities of a new Safeway store minus the boneheads who expect lavish catering to. That's why I will continue to shop here😊.
