Lunardi's Markets

I wanted a deli sandwich to take on a trip to Yosemite for a hike, but my usual delis were all closed. I heard from a friend Lunardi's has a great deli so I gave them a call and they said they're open til the store closes. The deli attendant was super knowledgeable and friendly, and the quality of the ingredients was top notch! This sandwich wasn't huge like from some delis, I'd say it's definitely a normal portion for one person one meal. But I'd gladly come back for another!

I like to come to buy at this store, because they always have everything fresh, and their organic line of products is of the highest quality. here I find what I always need. and the kids love coming after school for the free cookie they give out in the bakery section. this tradition of years is wonderful. I definitely recommend it.

First off, in my experience this place has the best and freshest produce you can buy anywhere on the peninsula. Pretty much every fruit or veggie I buy here feels like premium quality. That alone makes it my go-to grocery store.

Aside from that, the selection in the store is quite good, even given its relatively small footprint. Yes the prices are a little higher than some stores, but you pay for the quality. I love the service at the meat counter and deli. I haven’t tried many of their baked goods because of my diet but they all look incredible. I tried some cannoli just because I was so tempted and it was delicious. They also sell bread from Acme Co here. It’s also a classy place, I’m pretty sure that the men are required to wear a shirt and tie.

This is my favorite grocery store I’ve been to in the whole area!

Great place to get fresh produce. Very friendly staff. It's located closer to the residential area so, easy to go.

Amazing friendly staff. I once bought expired eggs at this store. Called them. The associate got my address and drove to my house to deliver a replacement. That's a superb service! Always quick and efficient. Meat selection is outstanding. It is a little pricy, but worth it.

Fantastic grocery store! They have a huge selection of produce that is the freshest I've ever seen, and all of the deli items I purchased we're melt-in-mouth delicious. It was a bit difficult to find things (they carry name brand and store brand items and don't necessarily keep both items in the same place), but the quality, selection, and pleasant check-out experience (the cashier unloads the cart) were well worth it. I will definitely be going back.

Needed a order of Italian deli meats & cheeses, rolls & potato salad for ~12 people last minute. Cathy at the deli was awesome!!! She had everything ready in about 20 minutes!!! OUTSTANDING customer service and quality to match. Everyone raved at how delicious the cold cuts and cheeses were. And this is coming from a bunch of hungry Italians!! 😊 Bravo to Cathy....

A beautiful store well presented with friendly staff and Sophia helped us learn heavy stuff on top to hold down the lighter, more fragile stuff.

If you want quality foods and helpful staff this is a great place. They have a great pre cooked section a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The bakery is the best around. They have real butchers that will help you with the cuts of meat you are looking for and always give great advise on how to prepare your foods.

Friendly, great service and the best damned meat counter on the peninsula. Easy in and out. Slightly pricier than Safeway but worth it because of higher quality and great overall service. It's a pleasure to shop there.

Special THANKS to the staff at Lunardi's BELMONT. This has been 'our' grocery store since we moved to San Carlos 8 years ago. It is very well run, always stocked, all of the staff is hard-working and seem to operate as a team. All are trained to request more cashiers as soon as their is more than 1 person in a queue. Right now, during the COVID crisis when grocery stores are mobbed, these folks are working so hard and are retaining their grace and good humor. We're very grateful to them for being the calm center of the community.

The best most friendly and yet surprisingly wide-selection grocery story of all time. Blows Trader Joe's out of the water. The staff being 11/10 friendly makes this place feel like a real neighborhood grocery store.

My favourite supermarket, amazing fresh stuff and great service! The butcher's area is better than any other place I have been in the US. Service is the best I ever received in a supermarket!

I just remembered we've been going here ever since I started walking lol. Plus the produce person (glasses, tall man) forget his name was always helpful, especially when we didn't know what we were buying for the grandma's lol.

But this has always been the place to go to since its very convenient for the family and love the the staff who are always friendly and helpful.

Always frequent here foe the mac and cheese, deli and their pastries after school then to the park lol
