The Home Depot

To say that I love hate this place is an understatement. I love to go here as does my wife. I head to the tools and she heads to the flowers and garden area.

They have a not shabby Ethernet networking area with decent tools if any of you pros are in need of tools. They have riser cable, pullers, ends, meters just like the old westerns, the good the bad and the ugly.

Most of the staff are friendly and their plumbing and electrical section is decent if you need something and you don't want to go to the local specialty supply.

The downsides light on lumber or a lot of variety. Plan early they will accommodate large jobs you need a PRO account. They have it prekitted and have not messed any of mine or my clients orders.

They have everything I needed for my plants from cow manure to earthworm casting to organic dirt and additives! Also has a great selection of potted plants every-time I go and the most of plants purchased from here have lasted a long while. They have much more to buy but I only ever come for the plants/plant related products. Great prices!

This is really the place where doers get more done! For me, the only helpful place to rent a garden equipment and a trailer.

Biggest shout-out to Wendy from the Tool Rental Dept! She assisted me in making it all happen! The most helpful associate - very knowledgeable and super informative!

When they said back in the day "you can do it, we can help", I think they literally were talking to me - I could do it, they could help!

I had a return an item previously purchased. Customer service was speedy and friendly. This is one of my “go to” stores as I do many projects in my retirement. Thanks, Home Depot.

Alice upfront was so sweet and fun to deal with. I was headed to self check out and she said I’ll take care of you with a big smile on her face. She made my day and you are lucky to have such a wonderful employee. Thank you Alice!

Good selection of large sized terra cotta pots, if anyone was wondering.

They always have stock. The people that work there are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I love Home Depot!!!

Tried to buy a tiller at the home Depot on battleground. Got it home and it wouldn't even start. Took it back 3 hours later after trying to get it to work and exchanged it for another one. I made them try to start it at the store. It didn't work. They asked me if I wanted it anyway? I mean really? So I went over to the Hanes Mall home Depot and they took such good care of me. I got the tiller started and it works great. Shout out to Phil, beard, and Ramona for excellent service! The general manager at the home Depot on battleground is a great guy with a hard work ethic. It's a shame his employees don't follow that. I'm a fan of the Hanes Mill mall store

This particular Home Depot stays busy because it's right there on one of the busiest streets in Winston-Salem. I've been buying stuff at this location for decades. Usually good prices and decent stock. Sometimes you got to wait for stuff that's back ordered but that seems to be everywhere now. Will continue to visit and purchase. I like this store for the scratch and dent items especially, I don't need perfection

Diesel Dan was beyond amazing just like his personality! We ordered a fridge and he kept my two year old nephew entertained while helping us through the process! You can tell he loves what he does!

Ryan is the best Manager there. If you have any questions or issues with anything concerning Home Depot please ask for him. He’s a good listener, he has empathy for customers, he’s very fair, he’s nice and very hardworking. He goes the extra mile. I salute you Ryan.

Dave Van Pelt was the best we’ve been shopping for weeks and he not only had a solution for our washer but also for our garbage deposal I love it!!!!

I've been working in construction for over 25 years and receive the professional respect from Home Depot every visit. Thinking I should have bought stock in this company years ago!

Employees very helpful finding items that were ordered on line

So much more to explore here, than Lowes Home Center... This Home Depot has it all and more. Easy access to the Hanes Mall area, and plenty of other shopping centers which are directly adjacent... have fun!

Staff is much nicer and helpful here than at Lowes. The home depot employees seem like they care about what you are doing and helpful with what you need.

Really like this Home Depot. Just seems to be well run and clean and easy to navigate. Also found this weeping fig after looking for one for about 8 years!

Every time I can’t seem to find my husband, the big purple circle on the Life 360 app reminds me he’s at Home Depot because apparently I’m in denial that this is really his second home and he lives somewhere in an alcove down an aisle in an orange building.

Excellent customer service!! Friendly and informative. We found everything needed quickly at good pricing. Plus, for my daughter on her items, they applied the military discount with no hassle. She just presented the card and they applied it for her. Thank you Home Depot for Respecting our men and women who serve and or are veterans!
