Val Air Ballroom

Had an absolutely unforgettable concert experience here seeing Portugal. The Man. Friendly staff, very little waiting, clean bathrooms. Beautiful revamp. Sound was fantastic. With a GA ticket I was able to show up right when doors opened, and walk right up to the front row. Easily one of my top three concerts in a lifetime of shows. Hope to be back again!

I went to see love crimes, social distortion and bad religion tonight. The venue is fantastic, it looked like an older building,, but it is nice inside, you can find a good place to watch from all over the place..the staff were all great and helpful. love crimes was a great opener, I hadn't heard of them, but good stuff. Social distortion was next, one of my favorite bands,, I wish they would have headlined. They sounded great had a nice set, but just didn't get to play long enough. Bad religion was next, they had a great set. A great live band. A good time was had by all.

I was thrilled to be at the first show back at Val Air! The upgrades while keeping the nostalgia is a nice touch. The merch situation isn't great, but talk to your pals you came with and learn some patience. The drink lines and amount of bartenders was the right amount to keep the lines moving at a good pace. The staff bartending was very friendly and I hope they were tipped generously. The sound in this venue now is top notch! They are going to keep getting awesome bands and I look forward to more and more shows! Get there early for some decent parking and enjoy the shows! Cheers to many years of great shows!

The remodel was very well done. It's modern, but keeps its character - well done! Drinks are pricey as to be expected at a concert, but reasonable lines and good service. I was blown away by the quality of sound and lighting. I look forward to future shows at Val Air.

First show for me back at Val Air! The redo on this Venue is awesome! The stage is higher and so much fun for the audience. Plus so much easier for getting beverages and the bathroom update is perfect. They even had a special drink for the night! A perfect way to entertain my friends from Chicago in a fun, right size venue!

PERFECT PLACE FOR A ROCK CONCERT! Security was respectful. The crowd was amazing. Easy to park. Safe place. Small venue that give big results!

Great Venue! Saw Violent Femmes! And it was a blast! People up front Def needed to be dancing more for those who wanted to dance

Couldn’t have done a better job of bringing this treasure back to life. We made best friends w/ a couple who had grabbed a 4-top table & chairs and greatly enjoyed Jason Isbell. Drink lines were short. Bathroom’s gleaming. (Plenty of stall for us women) lots of security roaming the crowd. One suggestion: light up the step onto the floor. Maybe airplane aisle style . I saw too many people trip over it. ✅

I have been to numerous shows at the Val Air, I love this venue. It is intimate and clean, and the staff are always incredible. I love the wood floors! The sound quality is fantastic. They recently did some updates to the venue and it has the place looking so fresh.

Updated after 2024 renovation - Venue feels very much the same, just slightly updated and fresher. They do take credit cards now, and the restrooms have been updated a bit.

Original review prior to 2024 renovation - It’s okay…a place to see a show. Sound is pretty bad, muddled and not loud. Sight lines are decent. Parking and getting out is easy but it’s $10. The venue has limited drink selections and it’s all cash only. People who work here are always nice.

Sam Summers and Hildreth Construction Services did an AMAZING job of preserving a piece of history!! I cannot wait to see more artist at this venue.

I saw Flogging Molly at the newly renovated Val Air Ballroom and the sound and venue have been greatly improved and feels like a brand new venue inside a historic building.

Saw Social D there and it was like going back in time. Really cool place that just had a 15 million dollar renovation from what I saw and read somewhere.

I've frequented Val Air since my teenage years, and I was thoroughly impressed with the upgrades. My first visit back since the remodeling for a show was refreshing. The renovation has breathed new life into this place, and they've done an amazing job. The sound quality in the room is noticeably improved, the bar area is a night-and-day difference, and the updated bathroom situation is probably my favorite change.

A lot of work went into updating the ballroom. The best update as a girl is the bathroom! Doubled the stall and updated plumbing, Finally!
Just has a nice fresh look with new paint and carpet. I loved seeing that someone loves this place to keep it going!

I went to the grand reopening and ribbon cutting after the long remodel and renovation event for the public yesterday (Feb 2024). The venue has been upgraded in every aspect while still maintaining its classic historic ballroom look that we all know. The bathrooms are huge and clean, and the sound system sounds great! So excited to see shows in this new space!!

Great place to host a convention or special event!
