Black Duck Bar, Palace Cafe, New Orleans

Met friends here for the happy hour. The space is elegant, inviting and relaxing and our server deserves more than 5 stars for her attentive service and especially for splitting our tab quickly and efficiently. I was; however, less than impressed with the mushroom crostini. I didn’t try the Crab dip or Cheesecake that my friends had ordered, but it definitely looked more appealing than the crostini. I’ll just have to remember that for the next time.

We indulged in dessert and got the crème brulee! And it was excellent. We saw the table next to use her a few other desserts and they looks great too, and did a table side bananas foster! We didn’t get a full meal here but the service and our experience here was fabulous!

Food was beautiful and flavorful, could have done without the extra salt. Great atmosphere and friendly staff and roving music trio.

The intimate ambiance with the mix of good food and drinks was the perfect way to end my trip. They had an amazing happy hour, $7 for specific drink and food items until 7pm. Their seating area is pretty limited. But they have about 15 seats around the bar area. Great spot!

We visited the Black Duck Bar after having Saturday Brunch. Overall, we had an awesome time!

Given that the Black Duck Bar is apart of Palace Cafe, they also are taking the pandemic very seriously which is nice. Tables are distanced, staff wears a mask, hand sanitizer all around, and we were asked to wear a mask when walking around the restaurant.

The Black Duck Bar has hundreds of rum to try and a great cocktail list. We had the cocktail of the month and then my wife had the Planters Punch. Excited to go back!

Everything about this place allows you to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere while trying some awesome cocktails. Bananas Frosted is a must.

Amazing shrimp and grits. Wait and service response when it just opened was a little slow, but the food is 10/10!! I can't comment on every dish but if you want the cajun food experience get the shrimp and grits here you will not be disappointed!!!

This is one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The food is fabulous. Best bread pudding. Chef Eric does a great job! My favorite server Joe makes my patio dining perfect!

While looking for a place to get a low key meal in NOLA Sunday night we saw a sigh for the Black Duck in the Palace Cafe. To our surprise, this place is the French Quarter best kept secret. We had a cheese platter and fried duck wings, both excellent. A must for casual meal of small plates. Not to mention the wonderful bar. Will be a regular

We didn't eat in the restaurant but went to the Black Duck bar for drinks and small plates. Excellent service and a fun menu for either small plates or a quick meal. Really good live music that wasn't loud and intrusive. Great spot.

Amazing service and excellent food. I have pretty restrictive food allergies and they were gracious about making accomodations. I got the filet mignon and it melted in my mouth. Highly recommend!

Go upstairs to the upstairs bar. Really nice spot
