Hadn't been here since pandemic, and they had completely re modeled, atmosphere was more cozy, bar added in and appealed too young and old. I sat on on new dining side. The food was delicious as always and all the servers were very friendly.

I love this restaurant! The staff are awesome! Our waitress was the best and We Hope your Night was an awesome one as well! 😉 Thank you for the cornbread!

Food is delicious and fairly priced love coming here. Friendly service everytime and always clean! 10/10 best BBQ in the northshore hands down. 200x better food than the Rusty Can. There’s no “rusty” service here ! The interior of the restaurant is brand new.

Came to sit and hear music. That was great, but man, the food was terrific. I’d definitely come back. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer. Great drinks. And do not miss the bourbon pecan pie. Wow

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. The pulled pork and brisket were moist, tender and smoky with the sauce on the side. Sides were really good with a giant portion of cornbread. The atmosphere was really fun as the pictures show. Service was really friendly and quick.

I LOVE the bbq! Barbie, Lisa, Liz, Lee, everyone is always so welcoming, accommodating, and incredibly nice. Truly feels like family when I come here, my home away from home. The food is always on point and the strawberry margs are a must!!

Stylish atmosphere with a welcoming Southern twist, an awesome update to the interior. It has a full bar with unique specials and inexpensive go-tos for all occasions. The food is delicious and comes with lots of great side options at a good price. They also had great social distancing practices. Highly recommended!

Great tasting, bbq. The ribs and brisket were so juicy and tender. The bake beans were spot on with a little sweetness. The potato salad was delicious.

My wife fled the south due to opportunities in New England, hardest part of the transition was givin' up good BBBQ (The extra b is for bangin' good smokehouse flavor & also cocktails.)

American BBQ has been a staple for us for years. She claims it fills the gap in her life she misses of good down home Barbeque.

The meat is wonderfully tended too, giving a great main, they do not skimp on the sides, menu is tailored for vegetarian and gluten free options. We've yet to find a better place in New England nor a bad experience stopping by.

I cannot rave enough about the American BBQ in Rowley. It’s a hidden jewel. I have been multiple times over the years and it was always outstanding. They recently changed ownership though and I’m happy to say nothing has changed and if possible, it was even better. Keep on being awesome!

This restaurant is a gem. Very child friendly and also has a bar with superb margaritas. Food is fantastic, my favorite is the side of string beans. Never had anything like it. Very fresh and cooked to perfection.

We have been to American bbq for meals a handful of times and always had a great experience and great food (love their nachos!). 5 stars for that. This review however is for their catering which this past Saturday was my first time using them for catering. I called once to get additional information and once to place the actual order and both times the people on the phone were so nice and so helpful! They made sure I had the correct amount of food. As expected the food was delicious. My cousin picked up the food for me and she said no issues at all, on time, and they carried it to her car. Everything was even labeled so people actually knew what it was. Would definitely do catering again from here!

Really good BBQ. The sauces were great, the ribs were smoked and tasty but not overdone. We were happy with everything we tried.

I got the 12 piece Dry Rub Chicken Wings....like I always do, but that day it was with a side of mashed potatoes and some corn bread...to keep it light. If I had been with someone else we would have split the smothered nachos, which I personally believe are the best nachos I've ever had.

One of a kind bbq restaurant in Mass! This place has the best bbq, drinks and atmosphere. We love making the stop anytime we go to the beaches.

I always loved the BBQ here but with this new and updated design it looks awesome. Loved the outdoor seating, inside look good to with two big tv to watch sport and love the good old paper towels on the table!!

Service, drinks, food, music.

This place succeeds in so many ways that it's easy for other restaurants to cut corners or settle for "good enough". But everything I ordered slapped. I was stuffed from the fried pickles and beet salad (which was incredible, at a BBQ joint??), but I still ordered desert just to see what they would do.

The bourbon pecan pie does things to a person. Great things.

I couldn't not leave a five star review after a dining experience like that.

Great location, Nice place, excellent bbq ribs and wonderful service. We enjoy and had good time.

Yum. Great deck to bring the pups. Love the brisket. Even the salads are good.
