Excellent modern cafe, with ample vegan and vegetarian options.
The atmosphere is cool and comfy, and the service was prompt and friendly.
I chose the vegan sweet potato and cranberry veggie burger and really enjoyed it.
The rock n' roll posters that decorate the cafe are fun to look at while waiting for your meal. There's even a picture of the owner with Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones!

Spencer is so amazing!! What a beautiful soul. Very kind and friendly and service was AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for the delicious hibiscus refresher. Loved my breakfast burrito. Taste so delicious 😋 This place is awesome!!

We had the great fortune to sit near a couple from the area prior to taking a trip to MA and while this was already on my list of potential breakfast spots, the couple assured us this was the place to go.
They weren't wrong!
The owners welcomed us warmly, made great conversation, and truly have created such a friendly environment - no one could possibly be a stranger here!
The food though - if you try nothing else - try their Irish Benedict. I have never tasted corned beef half as good, I don't know what their secret it, but they're doing it right!

This place is my new favorite for all things breakfast. I've been stopping in almost daily for coffee (best coffee around) to start my day. Had a little extra time this morning to eat. Eggs, bacon and home fries were all cooked to perfection. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture! Customer service is top notch. Jared greeted me by first name and the owner Julie was extremely hospitable even for a busy spot like Heart and Soul.

Not only is the food excellent, the staff is friendly and very customer oriented. Although on Jan.1, 2024 Heart & Soul Cafe was extremely busy, including two large parties, the highly esteemed and dashing owner, Buddy Siciliano took time to come out and greet his customers, even took pictures with them. It almost felt like going home again! 💕🥂
Looking forward to meeting Buddy’s wife Julie (also owner) next time.

I've been here many times and the service and food is consistently excellent. The vibe is really different - kind of retro cool, but not so hip that older folks don't feel comfortable. The best breakfast I've had in Ipswich.

One of my favorite places to go for breakfast on the North Shore! The vibe in there is great and makes you want to travel back in time to see the different bands on the walls like Ringo Starr and Eric Clapton. Everyone who works there is super nice too! Always great service.

Stopped here for a late lunch, just got in before they closed and we’re really glad we did because the food is really good my wife had minestrone soup which she said was really nice and I had spinach omelette which came with diced potato and toast really tasty and very good portion. Friendly staff and grand service.

We just had the best time and such a delicious breakfast at Heart and Soul Cafe. We were looking around for a while for a breakfast place that was open on a Monday and had outdoor seating for my 5 year old son, our little pup, and myself. Not only was Heart and Soul welcoming with their adorable tables, but they also had heaters! It was about 48 degrees and so the heaters made our experience that much more comfortable. Bud introduced himself right away and was extremely welcoming. My son loved him, and talked about how nice he was we walked back to our car. My son had so many happy moments and smiles during the whole experience.

My sister and I ate breakfast here twice during our trip to Ipswich/Salem/Boston, and it was our favorite for breakfast. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.

Julie & Bud are an amazing addition to the town of Ipswich. Great people great service and they care about there community, giving out over 400 pieces of Halloween to all the Ipswich littles today!!! Go check out the real “Heart and Soul” of Ipswich.

Just had breakfast here AGAIN. Love love love this place. Food was perrrfect and Fast. Staff was phenomenal. Atmosphere wonderful. I just read one person's one star review of this restaurant. I have to say they came during the middle of the pandemic and complained because they got plastic utensils and paper cups. Everybody was doing that because they wanted to keep you safe from covid. They pointed out that they were understaffed, duh, everybody was understaffed because nobody would work because of covid. There's a reason why most reviews of this restaurant are five-star and only one knucklehead gives it one star. That guy is just mean and not considering the difficulties in serving the public during a pandemic. I recommend he goes back there now when they have more staff and less restrictions, and he will see the true nature of this beautiful spot to eat and enjoy yourself in downtown Ipswich.

Always great service and a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. If they mention the pumpkin pancakes just get those because they are to die for. Always consistent if you’re looking for a place that will be great every time.

This café truly deserves a 5-star rating! Love the 70s ambiance. And the service is great with attentive and friendly staff.

My favorite place to be, especially during the pandemic! Plenty of outdoor seating despite the limited real estate, and a decent amount of vegan options on their menu. My favorite: get the frozen tofu with oreos! I swear it tastes like a McFlurry. Live music on Saturdays seals the deal for me-- Heart and Soul is the best!

Enjoyed a delicious Mediterranean salad with chicken and an espresso. Pleasant outdoor seating! Great service by Dylan! We were visited by Bud, one of the owners. Great experience!
