Jones Library

A Public library probably reflects qaulity of a Town or people living there.If It is Pioneer Valley Universities Town of Amherst then we know It must be uptodate.Kind STAFF makes the beautiful facade & interiors more valuable .Trustees -Please make such lighted space Atrium- even as you think of renovation build one more floor over it.

Really lovely town library and the staff have always been extremely helpful and kind. A great selection of books to browse as well!

What a beautiful peaceful library. Let's Massachusetts residents borrow 50 books at a time for 6 weeks! Must be protected at all costs.

I grew up in this library, and went back when I was in college for my own private place to study. My favorite library.

This library has been my savior for warmth and peace and quiet many times this week while in times of need.

Excellent selection! I always find something good, the librarians are helpful and the kids room is well stocked with new toys through grants. I live the quiet of the downstairs too, it's a great place to read or study. Plus they even have chemistry kits to take out!

I do not know what they got going on currently, but I grew up in the kids programs at this library. It's the only card I hold on to lol I've been homeless, displaced, out of Mass completely, and I still make sure I have my Jones library card. I don't know why. It's just the best place. I went during college and just did reading and homework there, as if there was not a whole entire library in UMass. It's my safe place 🥲
Also I love that I'm not the only person who loves this place. The Jones is, or at least was, quintessential library vibes.

My favourite place! Great programs for children and adults. Very relaxing environment for reading. The staff are very helpful. The tall woman who runs the place is the greatest. Everyone loves her.

My favorite place to visit any time of year! Helpful staff, regularly updated book displays, and lots of great resources. Not to mention, the building is gorgeous. Natural light pours into each room, making this library a comfortable place to read and work.

I didn't realize how great this library is until I moved away and none of the libraries in my new area could come close to matching it. Selection is quite broad (both in the library and through their app for ebooks and audio books) for books, movies, and audio. FANTASTIC kids area with many engaging and educational toys; pretty well separated, so you don't have to worry too much about kids wandering off; weekly sing along and weekly story time during the week, with frequent craft activities as well.

The Jones is a wonderful library. It has a wonderful children's area with CCTV. (I am guessing to prevent child abduction)
Upstairs is a special collection area with an area to study.
There is an area with computers and a printer
There are lots of scattered desks and chairs.
They have a chess club for children and other activities.

Excellent experience! Staffs are very nice, they will help you to find books. Also there are a lot of fictions for teens and young adults.

Many Japanese mangas.

This is a amazing libary! The one thing is the parking because there is not good parking.When I first walked in this libary I felt astonished because it is nice has a garden and lots and lots of books .Has many different kinds of rooms to work and study.

Jones Library is a great place to find books, movies, music, etc. Probably the best public library in Amherst.

The Jones Library is a wonderful place for kids and researching students alike , very friendly librarians and good atmosphere!

This library is cozy and provides lots of services.
It also could help International students to learn and practice English.

A nice selection of books, newspapers, DVDs, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Love this library. I especially love the sunroom, the exhibits on the second floor, and the great services.
