Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory

One of our favorite places to visit. Great for all ages to enjoy watching butterflies and learning about insects as well as reptiles, amphibians and some birds. There's also small fish ponds. The little birds running around are so cute (and they eat/cleanup dead butterflies)

No outside food or drink. Wear bright colors to attract butterflies, but be mindful not to touch them or step on them.

Good for a little over an hour. Cute gift shop too.

I came on a rainy Sunday at about 1, and it was fairly busy but certainly not too crowded. I use a wheelchair and found it to be very accessible! There are ramps outside and inside the building, the pathways in the conservatory are sufficiently wide, and while I didn’t use the restroom, I checked it out and was happy to find no heavy door to push open and a large stall with handrails (pictured). The butterflies also seemed to quite enjoy the lotion I put on that morning 😂 I had several land on my head and hand, the first one being not even 30 seconds after we entered! 😆 I came here with my family about 10 years ago, and came again now for a relaxing afternoon activity with my boyfriend 🦋 I highly recommend it as a fairly low cost, relaxing activity accessible to everyone, including disabled people/wheelchair users!

Fun experience. Nothing fancy, but was great to see many different types of butterflies. Exhibits before entering the conservatory had some interesting insects and frogs. We enjoyed the time spent here

Beautiful place to visit. I enjoyed the insanely cute button quail so much!! The lush rainforest full of incredible butterflies was very magical, and the reptiles and poison frog exhibit was fun to explore.

This place really is magical!! Well cared for animals, beautiful scenery, and interactive activities for children. My daughter loved it and I know we’ll be returning next time we’re visiting our hometown.

This is a cool butterfly conservatory, could spend more time here, sitting on a bench watching the butterflies and birds. They also have tortoises, geckos and various reptiles, frogs, and insects in aquariums to watch. If you haven't been, go.

Excellent place to stop with our 3 and 1 year old. They loved the butterflies and reptiles. Would definitely recommend it and it doesn't take much time to walk through which is important to know with little ones!

A peaceful place to explore! Great stop with the little ones. Many butterflies and we watched a few chyralyses open. They have tropical plants, too.

This place was amazing and a lot bigger inside than I thought. It cost $16 per adult, which ended up being worth the money for what you are able to see and experience. The first room you walk into is filled with cages of different kinds of lizards, frogs, bugs, and other cool things to check out. The butterfly conservatory is two massive rooms with a bunch of walkways lined with flowering bushes, trees, and flowers. Inside, there are over 25 varieties and over 4,000 butterflies flying around at any time. As you walk around, there are several different kinds of birds and reptiles on display or running around by your feet. The Japanese quails are some of the coolest little birds I've seen. Plenty of benches and places to sit throughout to relax. You are not allowed to touch the butterflies but they will fly very close to you, land near you or possibly even on you.

Loved it! Puts a smile on your face. Great aquariums filled with various insects and reptiles. Then the main event, the butterfly zone! Well worth the visit.

We love coming here. The staff is polite, and how can you go wrong with butterflies! My daughter was covered with butterflies this last time we went.

Really such an amazing place. I have grown up going here and love being there. It definitely seems like they've added on which is very cool! Great to see the lizards, frogs and such added. Plus LOVED these little birds! Really such a great, peaceful, fun place to go. I always enjoy it!

Calm and peaceful. Great for people looking to entertain the family. Opportunities for an educational experience. Perfect for photographers. Price has gone up, but hasn’t everything? A bit out of the way for me but perfectly pairs with a trip to Yankee Candle. Nice little road trip, great scenery. Be prepared when you first walk in for the sheer number of butterflies flying around you; be gentle. I recommend leaving jackets in the car as it is exceptionally warm. Been here half a dozen times; doesn’t disappoint!

Awesome place to take the kids. There's an area inside were you can see smaller insects and reptiles right before entering the butterfly conservatory. There's a gift shift and public restroom there too.

It was absolutely a last-minute trip but fantastic. Very very relaxing and everyone very friendly.

So many beautiful butterflies and flowers. There are cute tiny button quails in the exhibit area as well. There are so many butterflies healthily flying about. Many different kinds and variety as well.
