My husband and I experienced a house fire on 4/6/2023. It was devastating to say the least. Our insurance company contacted Enservio and Gary Sephton was assigned to assist us with our contents inventory. I don't know what I would have done without Gary's assistance. Not only did he guide my husband and I through the inventory which seemed completely overwhelming, but he also offered us a lot of guidance and assistance in other ways. He was familiar with the restoration companies we were working with and was able to assist us with communications with them when we weren't clear on processes. He was also a great support mentally and I value that more than anything. I feel we have a new friend in Gary.

Previous raters may not know adjusters are with the insurance company and not with Enservio. Enservio (and other third-party vendors contracted by insurance companies) cannot legally release pricing information to the insured person(s) without the insurance adjuster's permission. Insurance policies vary widely, so talk with your adjusters to find out details about your policies, (for example: if depreciation would applied). You can always provide information to insurance adjusters to have pricing revisited if something seems inaccurate. Also, I can speak from experience when I say always photograph your things for your own records and don't throw out anything unless your insurance adjuster approves of it! Best of luck out there.

If your insurance company tells you that they have engaged Enservio to do a valuation and inventory, ask for a different company!

Their website boasts that on average, claims with lines under 1000 are turned around in 3 business days. It took more than 2 weeks after assigned to have someone come out to our property. Ours was under 900 lines and took 16 business days for the inventory report and valuation. And with that, there were numerous errors and omissions.

For example, a 5 pound bag of long grain Wal-Mart white rice was valued at $334 while a bag of Hershey kisses was over $50. They had a number of incorrect comped items including both of our beds/box spring sets, tools and other items. However the worst thing was that their adjuster NEVER entered the fire damaged area to conduct an inventory. She merely used a list that I had provided which clearly stated that items such as hand tools in the tool chest were questionable since I didn't know if they were going to be salvaged. Since everything was considered a total loss, she simply skipped them along with everything in cabinets and on the floor. There are probably still items that we can't specifically remember. We could have claimed virtually anything was in the garage and since they took so long to provide the initial inventory and the insurance company had given the go ahead to clear the debris, they would have no way of knowing for sure what was lost.

The supplemental inventory with the missing items and incorrectly comped items, about 40 lines, took close to 6 weeks for them to turn it around.

Just received a bill for $5486 for a total loss evaluation in which they charged us for “meals” $338.00 (one person), “travel” $465 , and “hotel” $182, “inventory creation” $2018

All ridiculous charges
I was told by several insurance companies not to deal with Enservio but i did not comply

Phone kept hanging up on me repeatedly when waiting to be connected. I turned my claim in 13 weeks ago and still no monies released. I moved back into my nearly empty house 5 weeks ago because they failed to respond

My insurance company asked me to call
enservio to tell them the items that were destroyed in an accident in my home.
The adjuster was very nice and i felt determined to help out but when she finished doing her evaluation she refused to send me a copy, tell me how much they valued the loss was or who actually made this estimate.
It was a worthless time wasting effort.

My insurance company hired Enservio to take the damaged items inventory. Their specialist name cathy came to inspect the items . she was very professional took her time to write down the detail of each damaged item, she send her report to the pricing unit who are not competent to priced the items . they have priced my items 20% of the actual replacement value. i disputed the pricing it is going on since June 2019 no results. My pure silk sari were priced as a Art silk sari which is a artificial silk. They don't have staff who are expert pricing the items. If your insurance company pick Enservio i wish you a luck.. Their service is soooo bad . even 15 years old child can priced the items they just google and price the items which ever they feel like. I am going to approach their CEO to look in to this matter..... .
