What a gem of a place. I was coming back to his place at least after 8 years and I want to say I forgot how good it was and still is. The fact that they stood the hurricane of pandemic, it speaks a lot about how this place treats its customers and musicians. Loved every bit of my time and made new friends.

Good bar food and trivia nights! But today is the last day for the bar :( they are closing

Phenomenal hidden gem of a place. Good music, reasonably priced drinks and great atmosphere. They don’t make places like this anymore. 1 of a kind

Small place with big atmosphere. There's a small selection of food available but that's not why you should go. I definitely recommend going to see some live music.

Tiny hole in the wall with live music (jazz-like live music). Drinks are affordable, the bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Would be great for a date night or if you want to go for a drink solo(a). Will definitely be going again!

Friendly neighborhood bar with FREE live music. I like the music (type varies from Americana to rock to folk) which is preformed by competent regional talent. It can get very crowded on Friday and Saturday (when they have two groups); prices are more than fair and when not too busy, the service is very good.
I recommend the Toadburger, which is freshly prepared at the adjoining Christopher’s restaurant. We try to go at least once a month. It can become addicting especially after you get to know the bartenders or follow one of the groups they book.

This place is so fun! It never has a cover and their live music is great-- a very small place, so not somewhere you'd go to have a conversation or with a large group of friends, but a nice place to enjoy some music up close and live.

Great beer menu. Positive vibes and good music. While I did not have any, I've heard the food is great. A small cozy bar, which can get tight, but the ambiance makes it up in spades.

Ridiculously good bar. Very good beers, good burgers (that's all, though. U can always eat other food elsewhere beforehand!). The place has great music on every night. Wonderful place, and, as a visitor, it makes me jealous I don't live in Cambridge!

The best small music venue around. To call it intimate would be an understatement. It is TINY. That said, there are 1-2 shows a day, 7 days a week, and no cover ever. Drinks are good and reasonably priced and the burgers and tots are great. Dont plan on having a quiet conversation here... You'll be shouting.

Had a great time and caught a great band (Los Goutos). Was lucky to catch a seat as someone left in this crowded little spot; later in the night the crowd thinned a bit and we got some dancing room in front of the band. Not my favorite beer selection, but that's just my taste.

Such a great dive bar with live music every night! I’m sad I don’t live close anymore. It can get crowded and loud so be advised.

Great spot for live music. Good food, a bit small but has a great feel to it. The last Sunday of the month is Ship of the Sun band a Greatful Dead tribute that will surely get you wanting more.

Went last friday to see Catbirds. Travelling alone on business and took the opportunity to see some live music. Great bar staff, good beers and fantastic band.

This is truly a hidden gem. There is never a cover charge, a great selection of beer, and some of the best live music in Boston (in my opinion). The house band features one of the bartenders and is a great mix of folk and jazz. Later in the night the guest bands are a mix of fusion jazz and funk that really turns up the heat in this whole in the wall gem. Oh, and the burger is great...get the burger.

Fantastic place with a great vibe. Good selection of beers. (Don’t go here if you don’t like listening to the band because the band members are practically intermingled with the audience.)

A little cramped if you can't get a seat, but definitely worth staying for the bands and booze! Heads up: they do ID, and a couple who didn't have their ID (license or passport) were turned away.

I love this place! It's a very cozy small bar that has good live music and makes you feel at home. I would recommend it to anyone.
