Arigato Japanese Restaurant

I eat sushi at least one e or twice a week. I have eaten at some of the best locations locally . I will say that this is the BEST SUSHI and freshest I have ever had!! You must go here to find out for yourself . I wish I lived closer to eat here and enjoy the food. Now I don’t want to eat at my local sushi locations. I ordered spicy tuna and 2 orders of shrimp steamed…. Incredible home made sauces!! Best ever

My husband took me there for a sushi date a couple of weeks ago, and the sushi was fantastic! We are very picky when it comes to sushi and we are massive salmon lovers, and he couldn't recommend this place to me enough on how fresh they are, and he wasn't wrong. It didn't disappoint, and the staff was very friendly. If we are ever in the area again to visit, we know where to come for sushi 😍🍣

The space is spacious, clean and the food is delicious, a place to visit at least once.

Big shrimps in the large Tempura dish, Sushi platter was amazing for the legit nigiri selection! Many maki rolls were covered in sauce, which seems to be a popular thing in US and Canada... Most people love it for the strong flavors, but I would recommend to not choose that type if you like fresh fish sushi concept.

Really nice and tiny place to eat Asian food. Not only sushi style, but also different types of food is baken here. The environment is nice and whole youngsters are around. Kind and respectful staff make this place better. Of course not like in Japan but kinda make you feel in there :)

Great portions and quality of sushi! Definitely one of the better sushi places in the Amherst area! We got the salmon and eel samplers, which were plenty

Wow! Beautiful presentation and fresh fish, was not expecting this much care to be put into our takeout. Thank you very much, I'll be back for dinner another night!

Unexpectedly beautiful sushi done the traditional way with Wasabi on the rice under the fish and I didn't have to ask.
There are only a few great places like this left unfortunately I was in a rush a didn't let the chief know and did him a great dishonor.
I will be back!

The Box options (Box A in the pic) offer a good intro to the available choices. The tempura shrimp and the California roll go great with the spicy mayo sauce, if spice is preferred, or the tempura sauce, if sweet is preferred.

I am from NYC so I had low expectations for western Mass sushi, but the fish was very good esp for the very affordable price. Service was friendly and efficient. I will go back.

Terrific place for Japanese food. Loved my tuna sushi and sashimi. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

My family orders sushi at least twice a week from here- it is the BEST we have ever had! The taste is far better then any other restaurant! The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome! I would highly recommend the arigato roll as it is a great combination of fresh and fried- you will LOVE this restaurant!

We ate here 2 nights in a row. Ordered different sushi rolls each night. The quality, freshness and incredible flavor of each roll we had - AMAZING!!! I've traveled the U.S. & Canada and this small but quaint establishment should have nothing but a 5 star rating. The staff was friendly and courteous and the food was worth what we paid. I will eat here everytime i visit the Hadley/Amherst area!

Really cute, small place with a cozy atmosphere. The vibe is informal, but still nice. The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is fantastic. The UMass roll is particularly good!

While a sushi restaurant, this place gives a diverse selection of food. I decided on some stir fried udon noodles with chicken, which I highly recommend. The noodles had a good light-soy flavor with a perfect spice level (I ordered it spicy). Furthermore, service was fast and friendly. A great spot to grab a bite in town.

The lunch special was only 11.50, for sushi that's a great price, and this was really amazing sushi. The presentation was amazing, and it came with a soup and salad. The salad was refreshing, all the ingredients tasted super fresh, and the soup is a nice miso. The sushi was great, I got the Amherst Roll, a crispy Tofu roll, and 5 pieces of sashimi. There were a variety of fresh flavors on the plate. I recommend this highly, best sushi in Amherst bar none.

The sushi here is great. If dining with small children, and if requested, the sushi chef will cut them up into bite size portions appropriate for small mouths. We really appreciate this when dining with our child. This is her favorite sushi restaurant.
