I have been going to true value hardware on Harvard Street in Brookline tied of being treated like s- -t. I called a Model and was treated like a valued customer. I went an extra two miles and was delighted on what I found. Two floors of well stocked, organized and happy employees who could not do enough for me. I’m going out of my way to go to shop at Models. Worth the wait.

I recently moved to Boston and Model Hardware has quickly become my go-to spot for all hardware/home needs. The store is neat and organized, and has great inventory. As well, the staff (particularly Ethan!) is incredibly helpful and friendly. Whether it's hanging art or fixing a broken screw, when I come in with a problem, they go above and beyond to help me find the solution. Would highly recommend!!

This store is fkuicng awesome. The workers have been fantastic over years to help me accomplish my projects of my many kinds. I do manual work and sometimes I need quick electronics solutions. This Ace is really solid for almost anything I've needed. I think if you ask kindly, there is a shop area in the basement.

I ordered a new snowblower from Model Hardware. The item was
ready, fully assembled by the staff, exactly as promised. When I
came to pick it up the staff helped me get it into the vehicle. I
didn't get the names of everyone who helped, but one in particular,
name Zack, made sure the snowblower was completely secured.
Great store, great staff!!

Amazing staff. I needed a wheel barrel last minute, didn't have time to measure the back of my car and the staff helped me remove the wheel and bungee my hatch so I could drive it safely. Super nice and accommodating!

Employees are extremely helpful and friendly. I had a key they couldn't get right the first copy and they didn't even ask for a receipt when I came back They fixed it 3 times free of charge and took full responsibility. Lots of useful stuff at good prices. But the manager did my last key, he came off as very impatient and judgemental. He was cutting me off mid-sentence frequently when I was explaining my issue, he's a bit of a cranky old man. But great place otherwise, way better than Aborn's in brookline or having to go out all the way to Watertown for home depot

Model Hardware is as dedicated to getting YOUR project done. They will talk to you about your project and make sure that it gets done on budget and right. The owners are always around to ensure that the store is running efficiently and that there is always somebody who is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the products in the store and techniques for jobs etc.
If you are in a rush, they will hurry you through. If you are confused, they will sit down and explain things to you. If you are not 100% confident in everything you are doing, these guys will give you the tools, parts and knowledge to get the job done right.
Its also a great deal price wise, that really their best part! (LOL)

Over-and-above helpful staff. Went to exchange a power strip that didn't work, but I didn't have either the receipt or the packaging. Stephen helped me out by testing the power strip and verifying it didn't work, suggesting a better alternative since they were out of it, and just making the exchange without making me pay for the new product. Really helpful, really knowledgeable.

Tha merchandise is always exactly what I am looking for but several of the employees need to learn respect and manners. A customer is there to have to deal with their ethnic intolerance. Mind new people on both occasions.

Great local hardware store... I've been here so many times… they do a very nice job of stocking a wide variety of things you'll need as well as offering help if you need it. This store is more than enough for pretty much everything.

The staff is helpful and friendly. Whenever I drop in to grab something, the staff point me in the right direction and offer suggestions based on my needs.

Even though they ended up not being able to do what I wanted, they are extremely friendly, and tried to help me by referring me to another store. I would definitely go back again if I have other concerns.

A *real* hardware store in the city! Much better stock (and knowledge to share) than Pil, Economy, and other Ace and True Value stores in Boston. This store is deceptively large -- roughly 4× the size of its competitors. Walk in, and you'll wonder why you've been schlepping out to Home Cheapo, when there's a pretty good chance Model has what you need.

Staff was amazing and very patient with me helping my find a set of bolts for my car!

Super helpful staff (who know about their products and have used them) and reasonable prices. I've been to every hardware store in the Brookline and Allston/Brighton area and this is by far my favorite when I need input on a project, even obscure ones. Thanks, guys!

Fast, friendly service and huge selection--this store is much larger than it seems from the outside. I had a few keys copied while I was there and they work well.

Always very helpful sometimes the knowledge is lacking but hey what do you expect from college kids who are supporting themselves lol I love the place everyone treats you right and it's just a great place to go
