The Academy at Harvard Square

I had a really good experience at THAS. The classes for the TOEFL were really helpful and I got to learn about other interesting topics apart of the TOEFL topics. Also, I could complete my credits for the AUPAIR program and meet nice people, I had also made friends there.
My teacher John was always patient, really nice always willing to help with any doubt, and he had a good system to teach and make the students understands everything. Classes were always didactics and fun.

I had a very good experience at TAHS. All the staff is very kind, professional and well prepared. I took the TOEFL preparation class. My teacher John was very passionate and this led to a very good learning experience. I feel prepared for the TOEFL and I would recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their English.

I definitely recommend The Academy at Harvard Square. They offer great courses and the teachers are very friendly and kind. I took the Toefl Preparation Course and I really liked it, I learned excellent tips to excel in my test and get the score I needed for college. I just suggested you take the 6 credits (72 hours) class if you want to be able to cover all the topics.

I took the Toefl course recently and it was very helpful to understand better how the test is and also to improve my English level since you get to read, listen and discusses academic passages. The teacher John really cares that you learn as much as possible and gives different strategies to get better results in the test.

I finished my ESL Classes of this semester last week and I'm happy to say that it was worth it! Anthony is an awesome teacher, being kind and enthusiastic about the process of learning... not just related to me but with everybody in the class. It was a great experience and I'm impressed with the evolution of my writing and speaking skills in English. Thank you so so much!

I'm an aupair who decided to choose The Academy at Harvard Square as a way to fulfill my required educational part of aupair experience. And choosing TAHS was indeed the best decision I could have made.
Not only were the employees extremely friendly and willing to help whenever I needed, but also the students, that I was spending my classes with, were super friendly, curious about each other and most importantly, I have become friends with some of them and I keep meeting them even now after the classes have ended.
During my time at the Academy I had 2 teachers. Both of them were awesome! They were always well prepared for the class, they were willing to answer everyone's questions and the grammar and topics were always well and in depth explained.
Initially, before I started, I had seen this just as I thing that I had to get done. But very soon, after 2 or 3 classes I started looking forward to every single class. I always consider the class to be the highlight of my day. Yes, I loved it that much! That's why I was really sad, when the classes came to an end.
So I believe, that from this review is more than clear, that I would recommend TAHS to everyone who is not only seeking a better understanding of English language, but also to everyone, who wants to be in a friendly group of people and wants to find new friends.

My teacher John was always patient and, reliable and he always planned the classes interesting for all the students.

I took the TOEFL class this fall 23 at TAHS and I really enjoyed it. It helped me a lot to understand more about the test and the way that the classes are organized helped a lot to improve your English and test skills.

I took the TOEFL weekend class for au pairs. It is very useful if you are planning to attend university as an international student. Also, the teacher (John) made sure that everybody learned.

I took the 6-week au pair TOEFL course at TAHS. I have to say that I'm really glad that I chose this school to take my classes. The staff was extremely dedicated and always available to offer their help and support since my first contact. My teacher John is really prepared and I could learn a lot in his class. Now, I feel more confident to do the TOEFL test. Also, the location is excellent, in Harvard Square, very close to the train station, restaurants and stores.

I loved taking my English classes here, it has very good teachers and excellent staff who are always there to help. I recommend it one hundred percent.

I took their au pair TOEFL 7 week course, it was really great. All teachers were excellent, they have been preparing non-native English speakers for a long time and had plenty of knowledge of the structure of this test. I would recommend it to any person that’s looking to learn tricks that would make taking the TOEFL easier.

I am very happy and grateful for having found this place, it was a wonderful experience, I learned a lot throughout the classes, the teachers are excellent, the learning spaces are clean and comfortable, the texts that are used help a lot, and the classes are quite dynamic so you have fun learning a new language! I highly recommend this academy because I had such a good experience in this place. I took the 3 credit Toefl class because I wanted to improve my skills and it worth it.
It is very nice to have teachers that enjoy to teach and classmates that are fun, that way you enjoy the class and when you notice, it is time to leave.
I took classes with John and he is very patient, and answer all the questions you have providing examples. Also he does extra activities where you can practice more your skills which is amazing.
Very glad to find this place.
