Learning Express Toys & Play

I recently had my son's 5th birthday party here (we did a deluxe private party so we had the entire play/party room to ourselves), and I have to say I am very pleased with Learning Express in Bedford! A special THANK YOU to Maggie and the rest of the staff working that afternoon because they made my son's birthday truly one to remember! The deluxe birthday package may seem pricey initially, but it includes basically everything (besides food and cake). The Learning Express team went above & beyond to make sure the kids had a great time! My son had a ninja warrior themed party and the staff provided all decorations, goodie bags, inflatable ninja swords, bandanas, and a special guest visitor! I highly recommend this spot to host your child's next party.

We come here regularly to play, but had our child’s fourth birthday party here and we were so impressed. It exceeded our expectations in every way. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a seamless, happy birthday. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to host something special for their kid’s special day.

I only visit a few times a year to buy gifts for my niece and nephew, but every experience that I’ve had with this store has always been a positive one. There is always a great selection of toys and things for a variety of interests and age ranges. The staff I’ve encountered there are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I definitely appreciate the free gift wrapping service. One small detail that I especially appreciate is that there is no distinction between “girl stuff” and “boy stuff”. Toys have no gender.

The best place to have a birthday party! Everything is taken care of for you-balloons, the table settings, decorations, goodie bags! The play center is the perfect place with such a huge variety of activities. The character visits make the party extra special as well. The owners are wonderful and truly love what they do. I would recommend over and over!

Best toy store around - the personalized gift boxes and their name drawings are amazing. And we love the play area! Great place to spend a rainy day.

Much more to than other kids play places with similar price. My kids love the place very much and we signed for membership so they can come back more often. Other than the gym which is a common feature for kids play places, this place have multiple themes like supermarket, dinner, studio, vets office for kids to play different pretending games. Also large table train track and different table top assembly games.

Great place for kids from 2+. The downtown area provides a unique experience for your child to learn about your world. They also have a wide variety of costume in which your child can pretend play. Big train tracks, etc.

Recommended visit on weekdays for the best experience.

At $15/child for an unlimited amount of time in the indoor playground, you get a lot. Theres a lot of places to play, and very few batteries to be found. Of note is the active play area, with plenty of things to climb and jump from, for those with active kiddos.

They sell some snacks and drinks, and theres a tiny patio area for warmer months.

I will say they're missing some accoutrements in some of the play areas. The sets are lovely, but theres certainly some props that are noticeably absent (there's like 2 doctor props in the pretend doctors office)

Great Staff for birthday parties. I was so impressed with everyone that worked with the kids. Everyone was really kind and patient. Kaeleen and Liz helped coordinate the party for my toddler and we had zero hiccups. The staff help serve the kids and assist them with crafts. One of the party room attendants, Gabriela, was super sweet and played Baby Shark for the kids. When it was time for the private gym portion of the party, the Learning Express employee coordinated a snowball fight, a photo shoot, and a bubble party! I am beyond impressed with everything they thought of. My only complaint is i wish they allowed more people, but fire codes are fire codes :) Highly recommend this location for birthday parties. It's a breeze!

Such a great spot! My 2 year old and 4 year old were entertained for hours. Felt very safe & clean.

It's $20 for the whole day! Like you can come leave and come back all day, for 1 child 2 adults. So many different areas of play and even an outside area! Even a 2 and under area. 1st time and we love it! Toy store is great too with some interactive stations! We'll be back for sure!

Great place. Our little one finds a million ways to entertain herself, and afterwards is happy and exhausted. Totally recommend their monthly plan.

Update: March 2017 - recently, particularly during bad or cold weather, this place has become super crowded on weekend afternoons. I strong recommend chosing a different time for your visit.

For Parents: The play area closes at 6pm everyday, despite the store opening until 8pm most days. Google needs to have a way to add additional hours for the play area.

They have a great play area for little kids. The pay area is a mini town with market, cafe, vet and open gym for kids to play in.

One word - AWESOME! We went for a birthday party there. Had a blast!

Great place to take your kids. All kinds of toys

This is an excellent local toy store. The selection is perfect for parents to buy for their kids or for kids to save up some pocket money and spend a couple dollars.

I love the online and phone ordering! The store will customize gift kits for kids. When there's not a pandemic the play space is the absolute highlight and best part! Creative play spaces of all sorts with slides, dress up, grocery, trains, ride on scooters, building toys, a baby zone separate from the bigger kid areas, AND a full tumble gym! Rock wall, mats etc etc. Definitely an excellent rainy day spot.

I love bringing the children I nanny for here also my granddaughter. It’s a great place to have fun and explore and lots to do. Very organized and staff is super nice. Love it here and so don’t the kiddos!!!

Learning Express Bedford is the best. The staff is incredible. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and it's truly such a pleasure to shop there! The gift wrapping is always done so beautifully as well. I'm so glad this store is in my neighborhood :)

First time I brought my grandson (who is now 2 years & 11 months old) was on Saturday the weekend they opened. We purchased a membership and love the place. We take our grandson all the time, he loves it. We refer to it as going to "The Play Place". The birthday parties look really cool, but they are expensive. Not worth it if you're only inviting a small handful of kids. I do hope one day to have his party there when he's a little older.
I did go into the gym in bare feet and didn't notice the sign until after. I then went and put on the surgical covers on my shoes. I think it's great they offer this. :-)
