Wow what an incredible experience at Alden & Harlow. Went here on a date and the atmosphere was perfect, ambience lighting for sure. Warm with other touches of LED which gave it a really cool vibe. There’s a lot of different takes when it comes to the dishes they serve, it’s interesting to see at first glance but once you try, you’ll understand that taking that different route is worth it. Our server Sarah was awesome, no pressure at all on anything and great recommendations. Definitely come here for a first date, catching up or even a family outing. Works either way.

I visited Alden and Harlow again after nearly 10 years and I was not disappointed at all. Their signature burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful – just perfect. The patty stood out as one of the best I've ever had. The carrot appetizer was a delightful mix of caramelized goodness and diverse flavors. The pork belly was deliciously fatty without being greasy. Overall, a highly satisfying experience.

My group had reservations on a Monday night. Wasn’t too too busy. At first I was bummed we were sat a more communal type table and not the individual ones on the side. Our waitress was so kind and welcoming. Helped us and recommended things on the menu. We enjoyed the salmon, tuna, kale salad, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and corn pancakes. It’s family style dinning so we ordered a lot to share.

Wonderful experience! An unassuming place with a large and spacious space. Highly highly recommend the Local Burrata with rhubarb jam all on top of a warm and crispy slice of zucchini bread. The Basil Pasta was delicious too: super creamy and generous portion size! Found it super interesting how they served pickled green beans as a complimentary starter… Service was attentive with servers constantly refilling our waters.

Went to Alden and Harlow last night and it was a great experience. We were more than late for our reservation because of a flight and they somehow were still able to get us a table when we walked in even though it was super busy. The customer service was above and beyond for a place that is that busy, it’s nuts. We also had to be in and out to catch the Celtics game and literally everyone on the floor knew and kept checking in on us. The burger was excellent along with the basil pasta (great sauce, slightly overcooked) and patatas bravas which were seasoned perfectly and crispy. Overall superb experience would higly recommend. Shoutout all the staff from last night!

This might be the best spot in Boston. The food was great and they put us in a perfect corner seating to avoid the noise.

This is a safe option if you’re trying to eat well and impress, aside from the desserts which were a bit questionable.

The service is good, but they keep checking on you to see if you’re done with your plate so if you’re a slow eater or chatty be aware.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Boston, MA area (and I don't say that lightly!). Every item on the menu (brunch and dinner alike) show a true artistic expression from a talented and daring chef. Every bite has an explosion of favors and delights in unexpected ways. If I can ever come up with an excuse to go to this restaurant I do. The atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated, the drinks are unique and beautiful, and THE FOOD stops the show. Come here on a date, a girls night, with seven friends, you name it- but whatever you do- definitely give it a try!

Really loved our dining experience at Alden and harlow. It’s a more-on-the-dim-lit upscale tavern vibe. Everyone was having a good time, chatting, enjoying their food. Our servers were supper attentive and accommodating when we did not love the chicken “nuggets”. This is the only dish I wouldn’t recommend, and it could’ve been an off night!

The chips and caramelized onion, basil pasta, and burrata are all must gets! The gold digger was also our favorite cocktail we had. Wonderful flavors and combos all around. I’ll be back!

It's a great and fun place to dine in before a concert at the Sinclair. The service was excellent, and the food was great. We ordered the Patatas Bravas with Fried Shallots and Basil, with a fantastic aioli (Picture 1), and also the Chips and three onion dip (Picture 2) for an appetizer. The Secret Burger (Picture 3) with Housemade Roll was delicious, and the crispy cheese was a nice touch. We can't wait to return to try the other things on the menu. Highly recommended.

Although having a rendezvous in a basement would make Aldo the Apache cringe, this place answers the burning question we all have turned to, time and time again, “What would it taste like if I had popcorn on the same plate as three tiny pancakes”. To find out the answer … well, I think you should just stop by and find out for yourself. Delicious food, wonderful staff.

This restaurant is the best restaurant near Harvard Station. All the dishes I ordered were very creative, well-balanced in taste and interesting texture combinations. Personally, American food is very salty for me, but these foods were moderately seasoned and tasted good. We ordered 5 dishes and the harmony of each dish was excellent. Plus, the staff was very nice as well. Highly recommended!

I love this place!! My brother has always recommended Alden and Harlow to me, because they have rabbit on the menu. I’ve never tried rabbit but I definitely want to get it the next time I come here.
I went to brunch with my friend here a couple weeks ago and the food was phenomenal.
We got a french onion dip and the chips were so thin and airy (good thing to me lol), torched fruit (SO GOOD AND UNIQUE), french toast, and a steak tips (this was ok wouldn’t get again). All of their dishes are really unique, with different flavours blended together. Service was great. We wanted the donuts but I guess they overestimated the amount they had that day so we were able to have a complimentary cinnamon roll. Drinks were delicious.

I put $50-100 per person bc it was just two people and we wanted to try multiple things.

Food is excellent! I had the spaccatelli pasta, which was made vegetarian upon request. Second time here. Made a reservation via Google, arrived 15 minutes early and was seated right away. Service is friendly and helpful, assisting with dietary restrictions while ordering and giving recommendations. Nice atmosphere, but a bit loud. Bathroom was nice, mostly clean, and had air freshener available.

delicious! Loved the chicken fried rabbit and secret burger. I wish there was more pork belly; you get 2 slices for $21

Some of the best food I have ever had! Our server was nice and provided some great recommendations on drinks and dishes. Our favorite by far was the squash - the mix with spicy peppers and apple was amazing!

Ordered two of its signature dishes. The carrot and the pasta. The carrot is nothing like it. With hickory smoked and the sauce make the dish extraordinary! The pasta is nothing like it. With the bit of spiciness from the pepper make me want to keep eating! Bohemian Pilsner really accommodate the meal well 👍

Excellent small plates restaurant AND burger!! I had to take a few different angles of the burger to make sure I truly captured it best because I rank this is a top 3 burger of all time. The crunchy cheese crisp, the sauce, and it was well salted. As much as I enjoyed the burger, however, the other small plates were really excellent! The broccoli and cauliflower were great, and the focaccia was also good. However, what I think was the star of the show was the basil pasta—some of the best pasta I've ever eaten. I tasted homemade, there was a little bit of spice to it, and it was honestly perfect. Try the secret burger (they only make about 40 per night), but get the pasta too!

The second my body crossed over the main entrance threshold, I knew it was an incredible decision!

Atmosphere, staff, envelope you immediately.

Engaging, warmth, natural woods, soothing sounds of surroundings voices, faint pitches of wood on wood, inviting you to acknowledge the hosts question this was the perfect location.

Service, attention to detail, subtle feedback on drinks and menu questions. Ensuring your final selection was to your evenings taste buds.

This is the place for good conversation, drinking, food, and an after dinner stroll around Cambridge.

This is a wonderful place and a great dinner option in the Harvard Square area. The atmosphere inside is a bit dark (it is lower level), with the vibe of an elevated pub type of experience, but the design is modern and welcoming. It is also very lively, with tables and also options to sit at the bar or at the kitchen table, watching the food being prepared.

The food is a farm to table/new american style, with the trendy small plate sharing ("family style" they call it), so make sure to ask the waiter for the best options whether you want to share with others or not.

We tried 7 different dishes + 1 dessert for 4 very hungry people and ended up being very full and content with our choices.

The absolute best in my opinion:
- burrata on a sourdough - creamy, delicious with a wonderful rhubarb jam that adds sweetness and makes for a greatly balanced dish
- pork belly - not only was the belly itself wonderfully cooked, but the gritz and nuts is what makes this dish an unforgettable one - a must order in my opinion
- secret burger is another winner and definitely worth trying!
- orange panna cotta - this is a personal bias as I love orange flavored anything, but this was a great dessert, not too sweet and with a nice crumble to add texture

Also - they have a very nice selection of inventive and delicious cocktails.

Overall - highly recommended for a night out with friends or a date night!

Modern vibe with super tasty food presented beautifully. The burrata with jam on the pumpkin-like bread was truely sublime.
