Joe's Subs evokes a sense of nostalgia for my hometown's beloved pizza shop, while also exuding the charm of Boston's suburbs. Their ingredients from bread to cold cut are fresh, and their meatball sub is precisely what you would imagine it to be in terms of taste and flavor profile. Joe's Subs cultivates an appreciation for the beauty of simplicity, earning its place as a new staple in my book. This shop puts meaning to “I have a place”. Great price too.

Excellent sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches,deli meats, and cheeses. Have never had a bad experience. Very polite and helpful staff as well.

Went for a quick bite. It was delicious, the coffee was perfect temperature and the person who was at the counter was very polite and nice! They have a great variety of cold cuts. Will be back soon

BEST hoagies above the tri-state, you MUST try their fully-loaded tuna salad hoagie with "hots"! All their meats are spot on in quality and taste, but their roast beef is worth a special mention. Perfectly cooked rare and seasoned, it will make you sing in joy because this is so hard to come by these days. As for the fellowship of men who gather every morning, they are all super friendly once you break the ice, as is Joe himself :). WARNING: They tend to overload their meats, so if you want a normal portion, tell them before you end up with a meal enough for two for one!

I’ve been coming to joes since I was a child back in the early 90’s. This place is great & the owners as well employees are even better! They have everything - fresh donuts, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, deli meats, giant pickles, chips, soda, coffee, tobacco, lottery, holiday pies, bagel & deli meat platters.

Place is awesome, hands down my favorite Italian sub around and its the same every time. Quality local spot and if you haven't checked it out absolutely give it a try you will be very happy you did.

This place is a hidden, underrated gem with sandwiches. The best Italian sub I’ve ever had, the tuna is also delicious.

New to Watertown and was told by a co-worker to try Joe's. Good people, great service, and even better cold cuts. Highly recommended if you're around the area and want a sub.

Growing up in Watertown I've known Alan and Jack since the mid sixtes. Living out of state for the past twenty years one thing remains constant the best cold cuts and particularly the best italian sub around.
Whenever I'm in town I make my way to Joe's Variety to see Alan and Jack and enjoy the best subs around.

I used to go here as a kid, just went back cold cuts are delicious subs are unbelievable so tasty people here are so kind and generous cant wait to go back!
