Keeping the 5 star rating, but just wanted to add--the beer selection here is Excellent. They really pack in a lot of quality choices in a relatively small location. I enjoy coming here and finding new things to try.

Surrey St. Market has been an amazing addition to the neighborhood! They have an extensive selection of beer and wine, and plenty of grocery options for when I'm missing an ingredient or two. It's also the cleanest and best organized convenience store in the area. Most importantly, Sanjay is so friendly and helpful, and it's always great to chat with him. Looking forward to being a loyal customer for a long time!

Surrey Street Market is a happy resurrection of an earlier beer/wine store in the Riverside section of Cambridge. Yes, an excellent selection of beer and wine are very much available but I and many other local residents value the Market as our neighborhood grocery store. While limited in selection, all basic food and house care items are available, and what makes it so special is the very friendly and capable manager Sanjay who makes a point of asking if we found what we needed, and if we did not, doing his best to add that item to his inventory. In short, it is always a pleasure to shop at the Market.

I used to live in this neighborhood and honestly miss this place. Sanjay is friendly, has an impressive memory for faces, and simply the best. The drink selection is great, including a lot of local options. It was my go to stop to pick up drinks to share with friends, or seltzer and a pint of ice cream to share with ...myself. I definitely scooted in right before closing a couple times to get some Ben and Jerry's for thesis writing fuel. (Thanks for your patience, Sanjay!) Surrey street Market was also renovated maybe about a year ago, so it feels nice and clean and bright inside!.

This place is near my apt and is always stocked full of essential items and is super clean and organized. Sanjay, the manager, is very friendly, helpful, and keeps the store in the best shape!

While small, Surrey St Market packs a big punch! From the latest beer releases from local breweries to a wide selection of wines and bubbles, you’ll find something for everyone. The food selection provides great and unexpected snacks as well as ingredients for a whole meal. Conveniently located steps away from the Charles, the manager Sanjay has become a fixture in the neighborhood who regularly anticipates the needs of his regulars, offers advice on selections, and is simply a very kind man. The shop is clean, aisles well lit, and beer cold, all with friendly service. Skip the big stores and check out this neighborhood gem!

We LOVE Surrey Street Market! It is so convenient, clean, and well-stocked. Sanjay is so friendly and puts a smile on our face every visit!

They have an excellent beer/wine selection, as well as great snacks.

We have also unexpectedly found ingredients and items we needed. Raisins? Got it. Popcorn? Got it. Cleaning supplies? Got it. Brown sugar? Got it.

Wonderful store! Super convenient, always stocked, variety of “just what is needed” products! But the real reason why we go there is service and friendliness of staff there! Sanjay is a very good guy! He is always greeting me and my family, calls us by names and is very helpful!

Surrey St. market is fabulous! We live a minute away and go multiple times a week for a snack, beverage, or random ingredient. They have an amazing selection and are always open to feedback or requests about what else should be available, including specific items. Sanjay’s warm welcome and extensive knowledge of the products is truly a joy. We always take guests here and proudly say it’s our corner market :)

A great little local convenient store that has all the essentials. A great selection of malt beverages and anything you need from snacks to cooking to drinks they have it and the prices are reasonable compared to other convenient stores in the neighborhood and the store is always very clean and very neat such a beautiful addition to my neighborhood as I have been living here for 43 years. Sanjay the young man that works there is very respectful,knowledgeable, and polite with good customer service. I always feel welcomed and highly recommend this convenient store over any others in the neighborhood.i knew the previous owners and he was horrible and was there I think since I was born thank God he sold the place

This is an exceptional store, both in terms of its product offerings as well as the service. Sanjay is very friendly: whether you are looking for a cold soda, some ice cream, or frozen foods for a late night snack, he always provides helpful suggestions about the different products. This is helpful because the store carries a wide range of selections. A lot of thought has also gone into arranging the store: there is even toilet paper, milk, and miscellaneous household items to be purchased in cases of an emergency, which is again very useful since Cambridge stores tend to shut down quite early. All in all, I would highly recommend this store.

This is my favorite store in the neighborhood. You can find pretty much anything from drinks to snacks to cleaning products.Sanjay is awesome. He pays attention to every customer. The store is very clean, organized and has always fresh products. I highly recommend Surrey St Market to anyone in the neighborhood!

Exceptional selection. Sanjay greets regular customers by name! He is always kind, and able to answer any questions you may have. He also can help to recommend products you might like based on previous purchases. It's like having your own personal concierge service within the confines of a convenience store. 10/10. I love this corner store. feel lucky to have it close to my home. it has such a variety of items in it for my needs. Sanjay is the best. Not only is he knowledgable about the store but he always gives a ton of options whenever I ask for specific recommendations. The store is kept super clean, not too mention has beers from my homeland, which really surprised me. Sanjay always provides friendly conversation and a warm presence that makes my day, and the visit to this store, much better.

Surrey Street Market is the best around. This is a bold statement because there are many different markets all in walking distance of Surrey Street; however, Surrey Street has the best customer service and collection of craft beers and wines out of any store in the area, at a fair price. The owner is great, and in particular, Sanjay is always very helpful when choosing a new kind of craft beer to try. New beers and wines are always being introduced to their inventory all the time so there's always something new to try. Ask Sanjay what he recommends!

I love our neighborhood shop, it’s convenient and very well-stocked. And Sanjay the shop keeper is always so friendly and helpful. Once he patiently counted loads of nickels and dimes and pennies for me just because I wanted to use them up!

Best corner shop in the neighborhood!! It has everything you need to survive the week grocery shopping didn’t fit into the schedule. Sanjay is super respectful and attentive. Dropping by to grab something on the way home has been a pleasant and warm experience that reminds of home.

This place used to be called Louie's, and now it should be called Sanjay's--after the great guy who is always there and always so helpful. There's already a wide selection of cold beer and wine (plus other essentials), but anytime I ask about something new, Sanjay makes a special order and often ends up stocking it. So lucky to have this market right down the street from me. I am in there probably every other day getting something I need, including beer and wine, food and household cleaning goods. Sanjay is always helpful! Anyone who lives nearby should take advantage of such a wonderful neighborhood store!
