Our experience with Mass Vet became necessary due to the abject incompetence of multiple veterinarians in so. New Hampshire. The staff there, primarily in the internal medicine department, not only saved his life but extended. His life, while improving his quality of life and we will be forever grateful for the unmatched level of care he received there over the course of many visits.

We had to come in twice this week, once for a surgical consult on our puppy (they were so good with our pup) and once for an emergency with our cat. Both times I felt heard, and my pets got top notch care. The pup is scheduled for her surgery and the cat is doing well now. We are just about to pick her up.

A+ service. We recently took our dog (Jazzy) there in the middle of the night when she had suddenly collapsed. It was found that she had a cardiac tamponade due to hemangiosarcoma. Long story short, we decided due to poor quality of life. The entire staff and process was amazing. They never rushed us and allowed us to take our time. They even had a special grieving room where the euthanasian process occurs (very personal and private, very nice). They reached out and contacted our vet and helped with the cremation process. We have Jazzy home now. They made the entire process so smooth and easy. If I ever had to go back to a vet emergency hospital or vet hospital I would choose them 100%. Later on in the week when we returned to pick Jazzy up we bought the entire staff Chic fillet as a thank you for everything. A+ service Thank you!

They can be pricey if you do not have insurance. You pay for the care ; they are really great at what they do!!! They will love your pets as their own and they will absolutely do everything to take care of them. Get get what you pay for ! They stitched my Sully up real nice after we were both attacked by an unleashed Pitty.

Trust this place when they tell you, you should get your dog checked. They really do care about your pets. I went on Thursday and the receptionist and nurse really convinced me to stay. I was about to leave. We let the vets do testing on him. They told us the worse news about my dog, but I am truly thankful for it because now I am spending his end of life care with him. If I never saw the receptionist and the nurse, and decided to go home instead, I would be freaking out, if my dog passed away without knowing why. He and I are enjoying our time. We thank them so much.

We couldn’t ask for a better experience with this practice. We currently have two dogs diagnosed with cancer so we frequent often (unfortunately) however they have made our experience 10x better. Bedside manner, realistic expectations and incredibly patient with all of our questions constantly. We were patients of another clinic in boston with one of the dogs before we moved everything over to Woburn, thank god. All of the doctors, techs and reception are absolutely incredible and we feel so indebted to them for having us and taking such good care of our dogs.

We cannot recommend Mass Vet enough! Dr. Bernal showed such compassion for Roxy in her final moments, it was as if she was saying goodbye to one of her own pets. She was absolutely amazing.
Roxy has been a patient of Dr. Riggs and her amazing neuro team for the past two years. We cannot thank them enough for all the love, compassion, kindness and support they have provided us while treating Roxy. You all are angels and we will forever cherish every one of you.

Dr White and the entire team on the internal medicine side, ophthalmology and the ER are TOP NOTCH. After a scary diagnosis of diabetes for my new puppy, French Bulldog, I turned to the team for support, care and knowledge. They welcomed and continue to welcome her and I whenever needed. With scheduled visits, unscheduled visits, phone calls and emails the team always makes themselves available for her needs and care. Everyone we see welcome her with warm & loving arms, making us both feel incredibly comfortable during what can be stressful times. Highly recommend MVRH, Dr White, Dr Halse & team for any pet owner looking for honest, intelligent and thorough care for their animal family.

Brought our kitty in at the advice of our primary vet due to a mass in her abdomen they couldn't diagnose. The vets here gave us options and quickly diagnosed her with an abdominal hernia via a CT scan the same day. They promptly scheduled a surgery date for our baby, and the surgeon gave me a detailed summary of the risks and aftercare. I very much trust my baby will continue to get amazing care here. Also, the vet tech was familiar with the cartoon character our baby is named after and drew it on the white board outside our room, which brightened my otherwise difficult day.

We brought our cat Tobi to this vet late at night when our local emergency vet did not have the means to provide tertiary care. Immediately, we felt like we could trust them. We felt thankful that they listened to our story so they could provide the best care they could for Tobi. They gave us multiple updates throughout the following day about our boy’s condition and everything they were doing to try and help him. Unfortunately, Tobi had died that day, but we felt like they did everything to give him a fighting chance. They were very accommodating for us to spend time with him and were very compassionate as we grieved. Everyone, from the front desk staff, vet techs, and vets were all so caring. We will definitely be using them in the future for any emergency or complex animal needs.

We had a wonderful experience here. We were able to get a consult to see oncologist Dr. Matthews and she was amazing. Our dog gets extremely stressed going to the vet and they were so good with managing that. And surgeon Dr. Brasali removed all of the tumor in a very difficult location. Our dog feels great again!! We are so grateful!! Excellent, compassionate care.

The staff and Dr's were absolutely wonderful. If it weren't for the care they provided our dog Lola, she would not be with us today. We are so grateful to have been able to access their facility over the holiday weekend and get the life saving care that was needed!

The amazing team at Mass Veterinary Referral Hospital saved my cats life. I noticed my cat Paulie straining to urinate last week and immediately called and headed into the ER, knowing that this was a life threatening situation. They immediately took him back and met with us about a treatment plan. Dr. Warren (and everyone we interacted with) was SO kind, calm, and transparent about everything.

From the moment I walked in the door I felt the genuine compassion and care that the team here has for animals. I was very emotional and was met with kindness and understanding at every turn. I had so many questions and they answered all of them. I was also able to call and request an update at any time during his multi-day stay, as well as visit him in person to check on him. Paulie’s blockage was cleared, the problem was diagnosed, and he was prescribed a special diet to prevent future blockages. From the reception desk to techs and veterinarians, all the staff were so compassionate toward both me and Paulie.

Something else that really stuck out to me was how the team was extremely forthcoming with the cost of care. Emergency veterinary care is always pricey, but we were given an honest estimate range up front and the cost of everything was explained to us. Paulie ended up having to stay longer than originally expected, and not only did they stay under budget, but they refunded me for the difference! I know this feels like it should be a given, but I was blown away by the honesty.

No one is excited to go to the emergency vet, but if you are in a situation where you must, I cannot recommend this place enough. Paulie is my baby and I cannot put into words how grateful I am that he is still here with me, hopefully for many more happy years.

Just wanted to take the time to thank the staff and Dr.’s! Especially wanted to highlight Sara at the front desk, who greeted us with poise and the utmost care and concern. She even made a point to check on us as we waited to make sure we were alright; that meant the world to us! Thank you again Sara, I wish every emergency staff was as compassionate as you! I was also happy to see my dog was taken in quickly as they were incredibly considerate of the urgency of this matter.

Full disclosure: my only experience with this facility is accompanying my partner when his cat recently passed away. They had told him that the prognosis for what his cat was dealing with was not good and that they weren’t sure that his cat would have good quality of life through surgeries and chemo, so the decision was made to end his suffering.

The entire staff was incredibly kind and took very good care of us throughout the process. I wish I could remember the name of the doctor who performed the humane euthanasia because I would recommend her highly; she had also recently lost a pet herself. My partner and I are very grateful for the care we received here in an extremely difficult moment for us.

My fiancĂ© and I had to rush our cat here in January after being told by another emergency vet he would need surgery right away. I’m so happy that they did! Not only did the vets here give our boy some time to see if he would improve on his own with some medications, but they were beyond incredible with keeping us informed of every step. Our cat, Gilbert, did end up needing surgery to see what was going on and he was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. While he was there, we not only received updates multiple times a day, but were also able to visit everyday to spend some time with him.

Everyone here is courteous and empathetic. Dr. Davies had to have a few extremely difficult conversations with us and we can’t thank her enough for the way she approached the situation, answered our questions and the compassion she showed us and Gilbert. We went here thinking Gilbert may never be able to come home, but he did. We had another 4 months with him at home, most of which he spent just as he had before he got sick. This is especially thanks to the Oncology team and Dr. Cronin.

Gilbert passed at home on one of his favorite blankets with us and his cat siblings. Having to call to cancel his upcoming appointment afterward was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but the woman I spoke with on the phone was so sweet and made it as easy as possible.

If our other cats ever have any emergency needs, we will absolutely bring them here. They made some of the worst days a little easier and I’m forever grateful for that.

From the person who took my call, Joe, to the receptionists, and Dr . Leddy and her technician, Madison, everyone was super caring, efficient, and professional. Everyone could see how heartbroken I was and how seriously ill my little cat appeared and they quickly worked to try to stabilize her. They were honest with me about the need for euthanasia and helped me through the process in a compassionate and dignified manner. They saw to our every comfort as I said goodbye to my little girl. These people at MVRH are doing everything right and I would recommend them hands down. Their kindness and expertise is the best I have ever experienced!

I brought my dog here when he came very suddenly ill. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it, but the medical stuff gave him the absolute best treatment we could’ve asked for. Dr. Allen was fantastic. And to Erin Heneghan in client services, I can’t thank you enough for your compassion. You are a rare breed of human that the world needs more of, and I’m sure I’m not the only pet owner who won’t forget the feeling of comfort you brought to one of the hardest days of my life.

We cannot speak highly enough of the doctors, nurses, and staff at this hospital. They were so helpful— from the moment we brought in our senior cat, Teddy, to the moment he was discharged we knew he was in good hands. I trust them fully. The internal medicine department made sure we were equipped to manage Teddy’s diagnosis and answered ALL of our questions. I am extremely thankful and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone with an animal emergency.
