Sugar & Spice Thai Restaurant

Very tasty, very friendly, and as far as I can tell super authentic. Also EXTREMELY accommodating in terms of both vegan food for me but also vegan/gluten free/soy free food for my dear who has really bad gluten and soy allergies. Also really great to eat somewhere and not be one of the few non-white people there. It felt like a really great safe place. When I was there, there was a cute queer couple in the corner holding hands, a youngish group with a small child in a high chair, and various groups of friends speaking in English and other languages. Everyone seemed super relaxed. Sadly not everywhere in Boston feels as accommodating and inclusive as this place. This is now one of my top picks in the Boston area.

Bo used to work here so he took us (me linh and mai). The crab ragoon honestly is life changing and the portions of everything is large and perfectly seasoned. This place’s menu has such a good range of thai food from different regions im obsessed. We had good conversations about horoscopes, names, and life.

A lot vegan options! Good portion size. I got the drunken noodle (tofu) and scallion pancakes for a takeout. Drunken noodles tastes good but the scallion pancakes might be crispy when you have them hot or dine in rather than a takeout.

A friend and I were in the area for a conference and stopped in for lunch. The menu is big enough but not overwhelming. Portions are big. I had the Chicken Pad Thai (pictured below) - there was enough to take leftovers for later. We both really enjoyed our meals. It is a sit down restaurant that also does take-out ordering. Service was great and the food was prepared quickly.

Very delicious food and good service. Need reservations. Fancy presentations for chicken on fire 🔥 so many gluten free options!!!have parking places on the next street.

Arrived before 7 on Sunday night. This place was packed, and there’s queue on the side walk, it’s a good sign. Got excited by just looking at their menu, it wasn’t what you usually seen in local Thai restaurants. Service was fast and the dishes were tasty. It’s the best Thai I’ve ever had in US so far. Paid under $40 per person, reasonable. However, the mango in the desert wasn’t ripe, disappointed, still highly recommend.

Best Thai food I've had in a good long while. Join the queue ahead of time as we are around 5:30 but the line materialized out the door to the street while we ate. Small menu but every single dish is high quality and delicious! And GIGANTIC! We had enough food to have leftovers x2 or 3. And make sure to try a frozen bubble tea!

This is one of those places where the food tastes just as good as it looks. For a Thai food lover, this is one of those places that has surpassed my expectations. Portion sizes were generous and the price reasonable. Definitely worth a second time visit. For those planning to visit, keep in mind that the place can get incredibly busy, so plan ahead.

Service was a bit slow but the servers were still kind and sweet. Food obviously was fantastic!! Highly recommend!!

Best Thai spot in Boston !! The flavors and textures of all their dishes are incredible! This restaurant is one that my friends and I always come back to during a trip to Boston -- would highly recommend!! Some of our favorites include the crispy giant squid, eggplant with sticky rice, pad thai, and the mango sticky rice!

We went to sugar and spice for dinner and it was a very delicious experience I got curry inside of a coconut and it was very pleasant as you could peel the coconut flesh off and add it into the curry. My partner got a vegetarian curry with chunks of mango in it and it was very delicious it was pretty spicy I would say the average Joe should not go above the 2 chilly rating of spiciness

I'm obsessed with this place. Obsessed! The food is is always consistently delicious, no matter what I try. And service is attentive. If you want authentic Thai, this is where it's at!

What did I do in life to deserve that food?? Unclear! This dinner was an absolutely phenomenal mix of sweet and sour tastes. I would eat and drink again everything ordered today:

Soup: Tom Kar
Dishes: Numtok, Larb Ped Isan, Hor Mok

Best Thai food I can remember having. Isan sausage was grilled with that slight charred flavor, juicy and flavorful. The Sukiyaki was like a warm sweet and sour noodle bowl with shrimp and chicken. Well-balanced and comforting. Got the green curry with beef and it was the best I've had. The sauce was smooth and spicy and the beef was cooked perfectly. The eggplant and green beans in the dish were great touches. The Kow Soi Moo Krob was maybe the best. Very creamy and unique, was like a mustard peanut curry sauce. The pork belly was both tender and crispy. Amazing food.

Never had a bad meal here. Portions are great value for the price and flavors are always on point.

Super authentic Thai food! This place goes beyond Pad Thai and Green Curry to bring you Thai cuisine that you've probably not had before.

Great service as well, the staff were attentive and quick to help out.

We went for an early dinner around 5pm and didn't need to wait to get a table, but as we were leaving we noticed quite a few folks waiting.

We had to try it because we saw the outdoor area is always packed. We were not disappointed! Ordered the Pad Thai, green curry with chicken, Thai Iced Tea, and the Mango Sticky Rice and ate outside. Curry was quite flavorful though it wasn't all that spicy. Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea were yummy as well. The mango sticky rice was really great though and the thing I liked best. Would definitely return even if just for the Iced Tea

Came here to celebrate my birthday with friends. Loved the food presentation and the drinks! Both looked appealing and was delicious.

Can't believe my bf took me to this place just today. He should've introduced me to here earlier!🤣 The food is superb 😍. The curry noodle with crispy pork on top was amazing. Tom Yum was also great (as a hangover cure). If we weren't suffering from hangover, we would've ordered sake or beer for the duck dish (under Isan section). The portion was pretty big but we managed to finish all dishes! 😎
