I reached out to Abbott & Company for assistance with my deceased mother's taxes. I am very pleased with the work that Ms. Abbott did for my mother's estate. From the first call to set up a meeting and through the filing of taxes, this accounting firm has been helpful, kind, and courteous. I will continue to use Abbott & Company for all of my tax needs going forward.

2022 - Assured us multiple times that our tax returns had been filed and the correct payments sent. Months later we get a penalty from the IRS and then A&C admitted they forgot to make the payment to the IRS.

2023 - We told them we couldn't get our files to them until end of March and then asked if they would be able to do our taxes anyway (their deadline is March 15th for all files). They responded that yes they would be able to do our taxes and get us the amount owed/refund, but it would be close to the deadline for which we said OK. Then today, 16 days later, which is 2 days before taxes are due, they send us an email saying, "oh sorry, we can't help you - you're on your own." They should have been honest on March 29th and said "sorry we can't do it". Then we could have found other help. Instead they promised to help and abdicated 2 days before the tax deadline. Shoddy work, poor communication and complete lack of accountability. Use at your own risk.
