Absolutely breathtaking. Literally.
Standing at Thomas Point's edge is something to personally experience.
To feel the water's powerful winds & see the waves crashing into the rocks is priceless.
Be aware: April 1st-October 31st is by permit only. I've attached the signs with information on it.
Please contact park services before going if you're visiting during these months.
Enjoy & Thomas Point is a perfect place to take panoramic photos!

We paid to park even though I can get in with my military ID. It was a very pretty walk out to the point where there is a Pavillion you can rent through Quiet Waters Park. We could not get pictures of the light house from the shore even with my zoom on but you could with a regular camera and a zoom lens. Nice visit.

A view of Thomas Point lighthouse, some ducks and a handy porta potty. Lots to like about this little park. You’ll have a 5min walk from the car park to the point but it’s a pleasant stretch.

I love to run down to this park. It's quiet and has amazing views of the bay. There is a port-a-potty there and a couple benches. Sites and the shelter can be reserved. Don't forget to take a selfie with the dinosaur! 😉

This spot is awesome. Came here after going to Quiet Waters park. That was really pretty, but also full of people. This spot felt really remote and has beautiful views. A true hidden gem in the Annapolis area.

Great park to see the dinosaur and fish, bike, or walk. The gate is usually open and there are great views of the bay and Bay bridge from the point.

An historic Anne Arundel County park, it is part of Chesapeake Bay Heritage. Beautiful, natural scenery, with plenty of waterfowl and wildlife. Great for walking, picnicking, and fishing. Great longviews of the Thomas Point lighthouse and Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Be sure to read the rules online for going in & out of the park. Permits are required for some parts, except in winter. Also, be aware that there are numerous potholes on the clay/gravel road inside the park.

Took a nice walk with a friend to this place on a weekend afternoon. Quiet, peaceful area. Lots of families spending their afternoon fishing and enjoying the beautiful views.

Great spot. Beautiful views of South River, Cheaspeake Bay and Fishing Creek. Thomas Point Lighthouse is off in the distance. Nice park to nature walk with your four legged friends.

It is a lovely area to be. Tucked gently outside the urban areas of Annapolis, it provides a wonderful little view of the Chesapeake bay, with views of Kent island, the bay bridge, the far reaching expansion of the bay southward, and the thomas point lighthouse. It seems to be popular for local fishing, and has a pavilion for eating lunch in the shade. I often come down as a bike rider, and it is a safe and pleasant experience doing so. Some extra little fun things include a blue dinosaur near the entrance and a cozy looking cabin about halfway down the isthmus. I highly recommend for locals and tourists alike!

Nice for fishing and/or relaxing. We took a picnic and it was great. It's nice to just sit and watch the other fisherman too. My kids had a great time climbing on the rocks and getting their feet wet down on the little sandy beach.

Be sure to get your parking pass before coming! It’s a little confusing. Don’t go through the gate if you don’t have a key. Just park by the little house. Nice area to walk with your dog.

Great park. Small, quiet and a hidden gem

Very nice small park with a scenic walk or bike ride in, completely hidden from the public, and because of that, rarely ever that busy. Definitely a nice change from the busy older brother, Quiet Waters Park a few miles away. You can't park inside this park without a pass, plus there's only like 4 or 5 parking spots anyway, unless you are a member and can unlike the gate to drive your car to the very end. It's free to walk or ride your bike in though. There's no gate guard.

I truly love this park with amazing views are amazing and it's natural setting, it is a lovely place to escape to. Be forewarned you need a permit to drive in so it's easiest to bike into the park as parking is very limited. The rental pavillions are a great place to host a cookout/party.

Nice place to just sit and take a break from reality. Lots of fisherman on the banks. Gorgeous views of different highlights in the bay. More for adults than children, but there are a few spots where a picnic can be had. Porta-potties are the only amenities, so bring toilet paper, wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. Also, bring your own food and drink.

A secret hideaway little Park that has spectacular views to the Chesapeake Bay and the Thomas point lighthouse in particular. The sunrise and the sunset views must be fantastic if they are within the Park opening hours.

Very nice and not super well known park. There is not a ton of parking so go early or late. There are also not a ton of walking trails, so it’s a better place to sit and enjoy the sights and weather

Excellent 270 degree view of the Chesapeake Bay South of the bay bridge. My primary use is for Winter bird-watching, which can be excellent at times, but the warm weather fishing is very good. (Permit required). There are a few picnic tables, port-a-johns, and a reservable area for larger gatherings.
