Took a party of 7 to The Hideaway on a Wednesday night. This spot is aptly named because it is literally in the middle of a neighborhood and we were just sure the GPS was taking us into the woods no where near a restaurant. We didn't have a reservation, and ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes for a table. Luckily, we were able to order from the bar during our wait. The beer and cocktail selection was great.

I ended up with the sampler platter and a smoked old fashion with hush puppies and beans and man that was a great experience. The meats were all moist and delicious, the sauces to pair with them were excellent.

They ended up smashing a few tables together to fit us all and we were kind of sticking out into normal walkways and the staff were audibly complaining about the situation.

The key lime pie for dessert was perfect. Right amount of tart.

A group of us went here to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had such a good experience here & will be returning. Tables & chairs were set up for us right away. Our server was Fantastic(she was friendly, knowledgeable & had a great memory)! Food was delicious, drinks were on point & service was excellent. I highly recommend stopping in here & trying the Jalapeño brisket rolls & Chesapeake Crab dip. Sooo tasty you will not be disappointed.

Recommended to me by a friend who works in the area. The food was great! Chicken wings are tender, juicy, and not over-coated with breading. The pulled pork and ribs were savory and delicious. The only thing I wouldn't rate a 5 out of 5 was the brisket, which was tender and soft but rather dry. This can be fixed a bit with one of the four house sauces at the table (all of which were flavored well and complemented the meat nicely). However, don't let that one negative stop you as everything else was spectacular. The bourbon pecan ice cream was a perfect dessert to top off an excellent meal!

If you're a fan of truffle fries, then The Hideaway is the place to go in the area. Their truffle fries are simply the best, boasting a perfect balance of flavors with that unmistakable aroma of truffle. Each bite is a decadent indulgence that will leave you wanting more.

But The Hideaway is not just about fries. Their pork ribs are nothing short of exceptional. Cooked to perfection, the tender meat effortlessly falls off the bone, showcasing the skill and expertise of the chefs. It's a mouthwatering experience that will have you licking your fingers in delight.

While the truffle fries and pork ribs are the true stars, the burgers at The Hideaway are also worth mentioning. Juicy and flavorful, they are crafted with care and precision. Whether you prefer a classic cheeseburger or something more adventurous, you won't be disappointed.

For a tasty and satisfying side, I highly recommend trying the beans. They complement the main dishes beautifully, adding a lovely touch of flavor and texture to the meal.

Overall, The Hideaway is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional culinary experience. With their unbeatable truffle fries, tender pork ribs, and delicious burgers, it is a must-visit for any food lover in the area.

I ordered the Arnold Palmer, Texas brisket sandwich, Truffle Parmesan fries & Mac and cheese. Everything was a 10/10 except the mac and cheese.

I wish the bread for my sandwich was toasted to be able to support the juicy brisket. Bottom bun started falling apart. The fries were very good as well. I only tried 2 of the bbq sauces provided at the table and both very excellent. The orange one was my favorite.

I didn’t like the mac at all after 2 bites and my waiter took it off the bill for me. He was very attentive. Constantly providing refills, asking us if everything was good. His customer service was elite and makes up for the mac and cheese. I hate that I didn’t catch his name but I will be returning for sure!

My new favorite spot for Sunday brunch! We were here about six years ago, and we didn't care for The Hideaway and were nearly shunned by friends for saying so (a treasured locale for locals). I don't know if it's perspective or any actual, substantive change, but we have had great experiences the last three trips with food and service. My only complaint is that there is generally a din of noise that makes table conversation a little difficult. But back to brunch... everything was amazing!! And we would go back just for the cinnamon roll which was more like a dessert than a breakfast item, but I'm not complaining.

We have been a few times to eat dinner, and if I were rating just dinner, I'd go with 4 stars overall, but there are some definite fan-favorites that we love and would come back for anytime, especially the cornbread, pecan pie, and fish and chips.

Unbelievably good food. What a hidden gem! We had the burnt ends and the crab dip. The dry hot & blue burger is a must try, it’s why we were referred here and it did not disappoint WOW

It’s called the Hideway for a reason! Located off Rout 175, a few hundred yards behind the fire station (put the location in your GPS!).

The restaurant was clean with plenty of tables, however, we sat at the bar. Service was excellent with a decent beer selection. They do have a Happy Hour from 3 pm – 6 pm. $2 off drafts and 5 wings for $6 and a few other appetizers. The wings were excellent and the pretzel with beer cheese was very large.

Parking could be a problem if you come during a busy time, so plan accordingly. There were a couple of televisions in the bar area. Good vibes in the bar area. All the patrons were friendly. Overall, nice experience and I will be back.

This place is amazing. While it's pricey, it is so worth it! Everything I've had here, from the wings to the pulled pork is absolutely amazing. I can honestly say I've never had better meat in my life. Their sauces are wonderful as well. The staff have always been quick and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped for dinner with a group of people as we were passing through the area. The food was very good - we got the Apple Crisp for dessert and it was huge! The service was great. That is probably why it gets so very crowded and parking is difficult.

Was a great experience. The name is so fitting.

The employees were great and helpful. Was a blast watching quiz game night.

The food was amazing. Definitely will come back here the next time we are in town.

The Hideaway suits its name. This place is tucked in and really hidden away but had a number of patrons there enjoying the place.
Upon arrival, it's a little confusing on where to enter, but any door is good to enter.
Getting seating was fine and easy with no wait. Ordering food and drinks was fine. Everything on the menu looks great.
Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. The food was delicious. The only food I didn't care for was the Coleslaw and the Brussels. I usually love Coleslaw, but this version was not good, and the Brussels were really dry. Other than that, the pulled pork sandwich was out of this world, the blackberry wings were great, the hush puppies were like no other, especially with the honey butter that it comes with. The service at the bar was superb! The bartenders were attentive and friendly. I loved this place and will definitely be back!

The Hideaway is definitely an appropriate name for this hidden gem. Tucked away in a predominantly residential neighborhood, "somewhere in Odenton" MD, I was blown away by the quality of the food. I started off with the Crab Dip, which was enough to feed a small army. I then decided the Smoked Brisket sounded delicious. And it did not disappoint! Tender, juicy, flavorful, and filling. Paired with Cole Slaw and Baked Beans for a true Southern style dinner, this was probably the best brisket I've ever had. Particularly when smothered in the homemade Bourbon Molasses BBQ sauce. If you find yourself in the DC/Baltimore area, please do yourself a favor and find The Hideaway.

Great vibe here with a nice bar. The wings were great and love up to the awards. Cream of Crab was just ok for me. Too thick. Definitely going to take my wife here for a nice date.

Rustic but delicious. Down home flavor and feel. People are super nice and friendly. I had cornbread dressing waffle with a big serving of pulled pork w/ mashed potatoes and gravy... delicious

I go here at least twice a month, one of my favorite food spots in the state. Parking sucks though. Really meant for compact cars. I've met the owner a few times, he's honestly a great guy. He loves to hear any feedback, and is quick to fix any problems. Also consider going to buck Murphy's- same owner, but it's a smaller bar with Cuban sandwiches, and a bunch of drinks options.

Good food! Great service! Awesome atmosphere! Sampled a little bit of everything and the pulled pork, sliced brisket, meatloaf, and chicken pot pie were incredible. Sides were also good and average portions. Kids meal was big. 3 large chicken tenders and large bowl of Mac n cheese. My only complaint is the pricing is expensive, but comparable to any other place in the area. I would go again and recommend.

This place has the best wings, ribs and dessert. OMG, the portions are very filling, and everything tasted delicious. We will definitely be back.
