24Apr.2024 The wait staff was fabulous. Atmosphere was fabulous. Food was massive and delicious. You get a half pound of delicious dill pickles. They are soooooo good. There are three sizes of milkshakes 20oz.(regular), 33 oz.(jumbo) 6lb.(colossal)..the regular was filling for me.

I was going to just leave a review only about the deliciousness of the dill pickles and leave pictures. They were so good that I even drank the pickle juice (I absolutely love pickles…sour, Tabasco, and dill). Me and my mate ordered a bowl of cream of crab soup and it was majority crab(like a real soup is suppose to be)the #25 specialty sandwich, regular strawberry milkshake,the #10 specialty sandwich added bacon(to go).

The walls are covered with a great deal of military and many other renowned people. It is always bustling in here. Don’t think about eating in here on the weekend; you’ll be waiting for 20 plus minutes.

Best day ever with great company and delicious food. You have to be here to experience the exceptional service and the huge amounts of food. Everything we ordered w was well cooked and we were truly pleased. We will be back. You have to come here with a hearty appetite. Happy eating!

We researched and found this restaurant as we were traveling. We decided to try it out since it had good reviews. The food was really good here. The hamburger was cooked at a perfect temperature and they had some of the best onion rings. The atmosphere had older decor but was unique.

This place was fantastic!

Small diner type atmosphere. Service was on spot, we had 24 people in our group and they didn't miss a beat.

All of the food looked amazing, mine was certainly delicious. Simple turkey club sandwich, but it was thick, tasty and hit the spot.

If you're traveling through Chick & Ruth's won't disappoint!

The place is an institution. The sandwiches are party and lots of variety of deli variations. If you could swing it, go for the crab cake sandwich but either way you will not walk away hungry.

Great experience here. The crab cake in the crab cake sandwich was huge and it was so worth it. Our server Jeanette was one of the best we have had in a while. Very friendly, efficient and informative. We wanted to try one of the milkshakes where you get to keep the glass, but after seeing the portions of the food had to decide against it. Very busy but for good reason. The wait was about 15 min at around 11am on a Sunday.

I took friends of mine who were visiting from New Zealand to Chick & Ruth's for Crab Cakes. The cakes were terrific, and full of larges lumps of crab meat. The vanilla malt was awesome and the atmosphere was classic 1950s feel. My friends LOVED it, they felt they had gone back in time. Our server, Stacy, was super friendly and responsive. I highly recommend

This little “hole in the wall” dinner is a gem. Everything we had was delicious. The apple fritter, corn beef hash, the crab omelette were standouts. The wait staff were fun and attentive. Many of their items are made in house including their rye bread. They also were featured on MAN vs Food for their 6 lb milkshake and 1.5 lb burger/sandwich challenge. Definitely drop by if you’re in the area.

It a must visit if your in town, this place is legendary. Massive selection of dishes. I when for the wastern omelette with cheese which was great. Also the chicken and waffles and the pancakes are first class. Service was excellent and friendly. The traditional American dinner experience.

This place has an amazing selection of foods. Crab cakes are pretty huge and delicious. It's their specialty. Recently had a 1/2 lb burger. It was really big and seems handmade. I added bacon. It is really large so be prepared to be full.

After this Good 'Ole Sunday morning 🌄 @ Chick & Ruth's it's a must that I revise my review. The Manager is a Man of his word. The Food was scrumptious... milkshake was 💣 Service was stellar. & Patrons (a plethora of) were Awesome!! ESPC Mi Primo Deg' that was definitely up 4 the CHALLENGE!! He's the real MVP 🏆 & I hope I'm there to witness round ✌🏾. #GoARMY!!

Essential americana--this was my favorite dining experience in Annapolis. The energy here feels as if you are in a movie about a diner. It's truly a magical place. The food is excellent. I had the crab omelet and loved it. I also took home some glazed doughnuts that were spiritual. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Oohhhhh. So good!! I haven't been in years. I went by myself since I was downtown. Wow, so good. Wasn't sure what I wanted to eat, it didn't disappoint. Plus got the pickles to munch on!! Yummy.

It's a very pleasant place. I'm sure you'll love everything you eat. You may have to wait in line for a while.

Such an amazing experience at this authentic, clean, and delicious 😋 diner. Amber was super helpful with an extensive menu and refills of hot coffee. Stewie and everyone else on staff was friendly and lovely 😍 10/10 would be a regular if possible.

Great little place downtown Annapolis. Rather quirky, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My blueberry muffin was awesome! Not exactly handicap friendly though. Some close aisles and tight squeezes, and the rest rooms are upstairs, so keep that in mind.

Headed to Chick & Ruth’s Delly per my dad’s recommendation! The inside is really cool - a nice, boisterous atmosphere - and the food is so good! I really recommend the crab cake! The milkshake was also amazing, and the reuben was delicious! Would recommend checking it out.

Nothing can be more American, in the very best sense, than this place. The vibes of the coolest delly, and the poached eggs of a high class restaurant. And don't even get me started on the crab cake. Great staff, fun atmosphere and delicious food. A must visit for anyone wishing to get a taste of Annapolis.

We've had the pleasure of eating here a couple of times. This tight fitting, fast paced restaurant is everything. Get there early if you don't want to wait! It's always hard to decide what to order! I will recommend the crab cake benedit AND if you think you can... order the 80oz mimosa (minimum for 2 people). Also, highly recommended are their pancakes! Overall, we love this spot and will come time and time again.

An absolutely iconic treasure of Annapolis, but also of Americana. A classic diner in every sense. Walls lined with pictures of famous celebrities, politicians, and local sports legends. But if you are up for it, go big with the 3 pound burger and wash it down with the 6 pound milk shake. We love Chick and Ruth’s!!!

This is a very classic and unique place to eat. It's an old retro diner with one of a kind dishes. Highly recommend their sandwiches. Flavourful and filling. You should definitely try this place as there are not many similar restaurants to this one.
