I'm honored that I was able to get by Buxton Hall before they permanently close the doors. They have a modified menu from now till close.

Staff were nice and full of smiles. The pimento cheese plate was so good. Main dish was pulled pork, BBQ hash over rice and smoked sausage. The sides were collard greens and baked beans. The food was perfect and seasoned just right.

I snagged a few ribs to go and took a bite while on the road. Let me tell you m, these ribs were fantastic. I also took home leftovers and ate them for breakfast the next day with a side of scrambled eggs.

Sad this place is closing and I hope to get by there one more time.

Best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. The brisket was incredible too. All the sides were delicious and we came back a second time during our short stay in the area. I was sad to hear that this place is closing, but it was a great experience nonetheless.

So glad we decided to stop by! The food was incredible. I ordered ribs from their specials menu and they fell right off the bone. Their bbq sauce was the perfect flavor and I highly highly recommend the Mac n cheese as a side dish. On top of the amazing food was the amazing service. Great place to go on a date or to come as a family. Loved it!

We can’t wait to go back. This spot came highly recommended and absolutely lived up to expectations!

We enjoyed the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Collards, the Brisket Burger with waffle fries and Banana Pudding Pie.

We arrived very hungry at 2:30pm and our server Tim helped make us welcome and to inform our choices.

The fried chicken sandwich probably topped our charts with its giant, hot crispy patty.

The pimento cheese melting into the burger patty made that a close second.

The vibe was so charming, with fantastic signage, fresh flowers on each table, and friendly service all around.

This place is amazing. First time I've been and will definely go back. You can actually see the kitchen from the dining room and they have a butchered hog for smoking on the table. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I've ever had. Service was good. Not too pricey for what you get. Highly recommend.

The vibe here is awesome and the space is massive. It’s attached to a brewery as well. The hush puppies were to die for and came with a unique tartar sauce. The smoked cheddar sausage was the bomb. The Carolina hot chicken sandwich was not hot at all unfortunately but still amazing. The brisket cheesesteak sandwich was the best! We got sides of smoked Mac-n-cheese, potato salad, and baked beans - all great. Our son got a grilled cheese, waffle fries, and a cheer wine slushie because he’s an oddball, but he loved them. They had a sauce bar which provided us the hot spice we crave, as well as regular BBQ, mustard BBQ, and a white sauce. It’s a little pricey, but we would totally eat here again.

Wow! Food was amazing! Some of the best smoked sausage I've ever had! The BBQ Hash Poutine is out of this world! The attention to detail in the food/flavor is second to none. Also our server was very friendly and attentive, the place was busy but our food still came out fairly quick. The BBQ sauce station was a nice touch so you can see/try them all. Highly recommend the Hot Carolina sauce if you like spicy! Lastly, what a cool place to eat! Love the open kitchen concept!

We arrived for lunch right at 11:30 when they open. Buxton Hall has a tasteful menu and atmosphere but is also very family friendly. We ordered the BBQ Buffalo Wings and the Whole Hog Pulled Pork Plate with Collards and Corn Pudding. Everything was outstanding. Kelly was an excellent server and our food came quickly!

Great staff. Brisket was fantastic. Pulled pork was OK (but better with the mustard BBQ sauce). Chicken bog was bland. Corn pudding was amazing!

The Pièce de résistance was the banana pudding pie. Best nanner pudding I’ve ever had!

Brisket was fantastic
Chopped pork tasted great but needed more seasoning
All the sides were A+

NC Vinegar sauce is an acquired taste. That did not go well. Mustard was decent however.

Banana pudding pie also delightful

Main con... parking is a chore downtown.

Great food and portions aren’t large. The coleslaw is spicy and so good. We also tried the beet goat salad and it was good just too much vinaigrette.

We had lunch here while visiting Asheville and it did not disappoint! My husband got the brisket cheesesteak which he claimed was the best sandwich he’s ever had! I got the pulled pork sandwich with spicy slaw and pickles and it was also delicious! Our server was lovely and the restaurant itself is industrial-ish but with cute farm style tables, plants and fun lighting. A great stop for some damn good BBQ!

Always fantastic. My family of 4 always has a good experience, good food, in an fun atmosphere. Parking is usually hectic during prime time but that goes for about every place in Asheville. Try all the different sauces, get a desert, absolutely great experience!

Really casual and fun place in Downtown Asheville for very delicious BBQ. Our Server was fantastic, I missed his name but he was also the bartender for the evening. There's a help yourself sauce bar with all kinds of choices from Carolina vinegar style to Alabama style white. The sides were all just as good as the entrees too, best corn pudding I've ever had. Also try the Buxton Slush if you're over 21, it was a fabulous treat.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Buxton Hall with my family and friends. The food not only met but also exceeded our expectations. What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding hospitality from the Manager Sarah and the entire staff. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure an amazing dining experience. This has solidified Buxton Hall as one of my top restaurant choices in Asheville.

Really cool spot! Hush puppies were delicious. Highly recommend the Lions Share cocktails. Thank you to Scout for being a really kind and personable server. Food was awesome and the atmosphere is so cool! Huge windows with a little lovely mountain ridge view. They even have murals on the walls from 1936. Really cool little gem

Well this place rocks, had the smoked chicken Philly with onions and pepperoncini, some silly cheese sauce topped it off. Insane portion. They also hooked up my waffle fries to make them poutine for an up charge, it was worth it! The chicken sandwich had this unique sauce to really make it stand out among chicken sandos. All in all will be top place to visit in Asheville for us.
