I love this store and have always gotten amazing service and valued input from Stuart and Klaus. I've bought a number of items over the years and most recently visited the store seeking a large and interesting piece to go over my bed. They were kind enough to let me to try a few things with the knowledge I might not keep them and also shared the name of someone who could hang the pieces as they were both quite heavy. I ended up purchasing a fabulous wooden wheel with an engraved floral design and I'm thrilled with it.

Found this floor screen treasure at Sunnyside Trading Co., and shipped it down to our home in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Used two doors to frame out the doorway between kitchen and butler pantry. Everyone was so helpful and I Sunnyside will be my new go-to for that must have special piece. Bonus is that I have two more to use in our office.

Ed and the Sunnyside staff was so patient with me in making a purchase for my newly built backyard wall. From measurements, to hardware to shipping across country; incredible!

I recently moved to Asheville and stumbled upon Sunnyside while discovering the arts district. First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to Klaus and Annie for being such amazing human beings! They both have a natural talent for interior design and were able to put bits and pieces together to help me bring my vision to life. Also, a big shout out to the entire team that’s so friendly and welcoming!

I have always loved the fusion of midcentury Danish design merged with subdued colors and simple zen aesthetic that finds beauty in imperfection and the passage of time. I wanted to create a stress-free environment where I could really unwind. Annie and Klaus helped me to carefully select each piece of furniture and lighting. They understood that the end result was as much an interior design style as a philosophy. I love to build but the art of interior design was completely foreign to me. I couldn’t have done it without you!

We stopped in to Sunnyside Trading during a walk around Asheville, just browsing. A small cabinet called to us "take me home" and we did. Can't praise enough the care and skill that went into the packing for shipment. Great communication throughout the process. It looks beautiful.

This place is unique. The space is large and airy, pleasant to walk around in. The objects are fascinating: furniture and furnishings, imported from the East, exotic, either antique or vintage and most constructed of teak, I believe. They have massive carved beds, windows, doors, gates, benches, a bunch of really cool things. Helpful and courteous staff.

Klauss was such an excellent help to us. Very welcoming and had a deep understanding of everything in the store. There is such a wide array of items to chose from here. Each piece of furniture is truly unique, and oozing with history (and good vibes). Best yet you can get real wood furniture and bypass purchasing a load of OSB/veneer with equal weight or packing materials (and assembly) from big box sellers. Come on down here and support your local business. These guys are first rate! We can’t wait to continue furnishing our house with them!

Sunnyside Trading not only has a beautiful collection of Asian and Indian antiques, but the service is second to none from the first communication to delivery. I purchased a very unique antique Chinese elm carved cabinet at a fair price and the seller, Klaus, gave me detailed information about where the piece came from, how old it was and how to care for it. He placed the item on hold and even took my payment information outside of office hours to complete the sale at my convenience.

From there, his delivery people were in touch with me via email and text every step of the way - some of the most friendly and courteous shipping management/delivery people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. On the day of delivery, things could not have gone more smoothly. The piece was blanket wrapped and in fine condition - it had traveled from North Carolina to Pennsylvania.

Importantly, the delivery person was clean, polite and arrived wonderfully neutral smelling - no cologne, no obnoxiously fragranced hand sanitizer or wipes, or strong laundry fragrances. I've had multiple experiences where delivery people cast such a powerful fragrance cloud that it took an hour of airing out, cleaning and running fans to get my home smelling normal again. I was SO relieved to not have to deal with that! The delivery person even complimented my home and carried the item up a flight of stairs and positioned it exactly where I wanted it.

I could not have been more pleased and would not hesitate to recommend Sunnyside Trading Co. as a top destination for authentic Asian antiques and a place where you can expect to be treated to exceptional customer service and smooth, white glove style delivery.

Sunnyside has beautiful exotic items that inspire creativity. The staff is super helpful with finding pieces and even suggesting customization to fulfill the customers needs. Highly recommended!

Sunnyside is such a fun place to shop. Their furniture and accessories are unique and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Plus, there are very few places right now that you can take home your furniture the same day instead of waiting 3+ months! I just love my egg chairs!

My husband and I have shopped at Sunnyside on numerous occasions. The one-of-a-kind pieces we've purchased there add so much character to our home. We receive so many complements on them. Everyone wants to know where we got them. Sunnyside is easy to work with, and they have helped us install bigger pieces when needed. On top of that, the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a conversation piece or just something beautiful and special for your home!

Sunnyside Trading Co. is our first stop every time we visit Asheville. We have purchased all of our rugs from Sunnyside. The selection is the best quality, beautiful and unique and if you do not see what you want in the store they can find it for you. Stuart, Klaus, Josh and everyone else at Sunnyside have been beyond helpful with our many purchases over the years. We just purchased an antique Table du Boucher and it was delivered to our home in Ohio quickly and safely. We have purchased everything from furniture to rugs to textiles and every item is a treasure. We feel like we are visiting family every time we are able to visit.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this place!!! They have the most unique, high quality furniture and different decor pieces from all over the world at remarkably reasonable prices! I’ve never seen such beautiful furniture and antiques. Each individual piece is a work of art. I could have been in there all day appreciating every single detail. The associates working were clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. It’s also in the River Arts District, which is a very cool part of town. I can’t wait to go back here again on my next trip to Asheville! Many thanks to this crew!!

This is by far my favorite store in Asheville. My wife and I have bought many treasures from Sunnyside trading company which have truly transformed the entire atmosphere of our home. The nicest owners too, very kind and warm energy.
