This is one of the smaller branch libraries, and is located in an older building. What I like about this location is they have parking. If the top level is full there is parking below by a park. This has been a problem for me at some of the locations recently but not here. They have a big selection of young adult books and while their adult section is smaller they seem to have a nice mix of books. Also, I’m able to have books from other libraries in the system sent there for pick up, and I’m then able to avoid the parking issues with some branches. They often have a nice display of books around a theme as well which I enjoy seeing.

The Oakley/South Asheville Library is all the things a local library should be.
It features a friendly, helpful staff, with great parking in a convenient location.
Keep, love, and support the Oakley Library. It's an oasis in the storm of our modern times.

They were very helpful, possibly due to clean living, as I understand from something I read passing by Oakley UMC that they had been "saved". Ordinarily I'd question mixing church and state but in this case they've become better employees. It's like a miracle.

This is a small, community library, but I have access to anything in NC libraries. I've found the librarians to be very helpful. I put a hold on any book I want, and it is sent to this library. Then, I don't have to fight downtown traffic or pay for parking to go get my books.

Great local library, kids had a blast checking out books. Don't see to many kids here these days 😒

This place has “the mark of Athena” by Rick riordan which I must read so therefore it is an awesome library
