Mr K's Used Books, Music and More

There is a lot to love.
1. Unless you have a massive stack of books, they will usually be able to review what you have brought in and give you store credit while you wait.

2. The comics and graphic novels section is excellent, and they have some really fun bobble heads.

3. The YA section is also really wonderful! And the staff members are always there with a quick recommendation, based on what you have liked in the past.

4. Oddly large selection of books that would make great gifts, such as coffee table-type books, and photo books.

5. When I need books for high school classes for my teens, they are near the register, and I don’t know how they get the list, but they usually have what the local high schools are reading right up front in the fall, ready to go (I know some of it is intuitive and they need a certain amount of Austin and Mary Shelley etc).

Negatives:
1. The only negative that I see is sometimes their games seemed priced oddly. The other day I saw a new board game packaged up that was three dollars cheaper than the used version of the same game. So don’t know what is going on with their pricing structure with games.

What a joy it is to bring our kids here and allow them to pick out a book! Mr K’s has such a great selection. The only thing we struggle with is knowing how much is too much!

Very good for a used bookstore. Also has music , DVD'S & more. Greatly discounted and you get credit for bringing in your used books. The store in Johnson City TN is even better and larger selections (2 story store).

I recently sold some old books and dvds. Got a good amount for them. I love their large dvd collection. Definitely a great place. I haven't look at their books yet but I am excited to do so.

The selection is staggering! The store is very organized and well-kept. The staff are great, there was an older man in a wheelchair who was checking out and was very chatty. The clerk was very patient and talked to the man who obviously needed to talk. All around good buys ranging from the average to eclectic.

I so appreciate how quickly they go through books here - I wish the trade credit system was more straightforward with the different colors/game/book/no yellow tag situation, but it doesn't deter me from popping in regularly to both sell & buy books and games.

I love bringing trade here and getting new books! The staff are friendly and beyond willing to help. Huge selection.

Shelves and shelves of used books sorted by genre, all at great prices. The selection of CDs is also pretty good, although a lot of them are encased in plastic like the picture shows. Is it for security reasons? Because ain’t nobody trying to steal a Jean-Michel Jarre greatest hits CD, just saying.

Huge inventory of new and used books! Found exactly what I was looking for and a few others. Good prices, friendly staff.

Aisle upon aisle of books! Haven for bookworms. They're impressively organized and have tons of collection in different genres and topics. They also have music CDs and a huge section for kids. Definitely worth visiting!

This is one of my favorite places to go to decompress. They have an amazing selection of books and give credit on older books towards future purchases.

There’s plenty of reviews for this business so I don’t really need to write this one. But I really appreciate the many great experiences I’ve had here!
I come here for books and dvds. If I’m trading books for store credit, I get a fair amount.
And the dvds/books are always in great condition!

Absolutely excellent second had book store. They have movies, collectibles, albums and rpgs.

Love this place to get my book fix. The people are nice and it's organized with easy, free parking.

We love Mr. K's to trade in boxes of romance novels from my mother-in-law as she reads around a book a week. We trade them for store credit as their selection is always interesting. The guys and gals that work there are very friendly and you can drop the books off and come back after a little bit or stay and browse/shop. Good folks at my River Ridge location-

Great and vast selection of books. Lots of special finds as well like first and second editions as well as signed and personally dedicated one of a kind copies. Not only a great selection in literature but they also had a pretty decent amount of music as well. I would go here over big book stores any day. The prices are hard to beat and the atmosphere is amazing! 10/10

I’ve been here a few times, it’s my favorite used book store! I didn’t find what I was looking for, but I did pick up a few books anyway. Really good selection for paperback books,which is what I’m looking for. A fun store to walk around, cd’s,comics,books(hard and soft cover) plus some other cool stuff. I’m not really local to this store,so I don’t trade my books, but they have a pretty good trade in for credit deal.
