Definitely worth it coming and checking it out. I wish there was more seating though when it’s cold outside.

This place has been on my list for AGES and I finally got around to trying it.

You go inside Battle Cat, walk past the coffee bar and the living room seating area, and down the hall to the bathroom, then take a left.

If nobody's standing at the counter, ding the little bell. Don't be shy. That's what it's there for.

Get the breakfast panini, no tomato. Tomato doesn't belong on scrambled eggs.

You'll get a little buzzer. Go find something to do. State at the community bulletin board. When the buzzer goes off, collect your tasty bagged sando.

So tasty. Each element is beautifully seasoned and flavorful, the eggs aren't overcooked, the bacon isn't too crispy or too floppy - just the right thickness that it's got a nice bite. The bread is soft and toasted in all the right places. A+.

We were in Asheville for the weekend and love breakfast food. We don’t have a lot of places in Greensboro that have great breakfast and support vegans. If I could give it more than five stars I would! Customer service was pleasant and efficient. Cashier Recommended food and we did not regret it!! Highly recommended!

Great vegan chili and desire to please the customer. Reasonable prices. A little hard to find-- the sign I could see from the street said "Coffee Bar". I guess you could say they're housemates ☺

I got the breakfast burrito with sausage and potatoes. It was THE BEST breakfast burrito I've had. The atmosphere is perfect and the food is even better!

TREMENDOUS!!!! fresh delicious food. We ordered quite a bit, to capture an array of flavors and nothing let us down.. the chicken avocado panini is AMAZING, the Lox Bagel is amazing, the breakfast tacos are fantastic, and the waffles are of the best I've ever had. Wish I had more than 2 hands, so I could give more than 2 thumbs up!!

I had the waffles and the vegan chili, both were absolutely delicious. The cafe is so cozy and cute, not a ton of seating though, so keep that in mind if you have a big party. Service was great and the wait wasn't long even though the place was busy!

I really enjoyed this place. It's an old converted house, I think. There are two businesses located inside. Tiger and Battle Cat Cafe, which is a coffee shop. What's great is that you order separate so you get your coffee much faster, drink it while waiting for you food in a variety of ambient places. There is the outside deck that has tables and a courtyard. There is the "living room" feel in the front entrance. And then the "dining room" feel that is just behind the living room. There is a fire place with exposed shelving so you can see through the room. The shelves are full of items for sale.

I've been looking for a breakfast burrito for quite awhile and yet, they allude me. Till I found Tiger that is. It's a small place that is busy so don't expect express service. The wait-time is very reasonable. The burrito was GREAT!I didn't expect it to be panini pressed, which was super appreciated.

Anytime I'm back in the area I'll be stopping by.

Surprised at how good the PSL was here. The breakfast bagels were amazing too. Love the vibe of this coffee shop, plenty of personality and local art on the walls. Bonus points for having one of the coolest bathrooms

a quick search for a non-chain based bagel shop, we found this one.

personally it was a new bagel experience for me, and I couldn't be happier with this choice!

I ended up with the breakfast panini, wife got the breakfast bagel adding bacon. Both were exceptionally good! (we share food often)

Both orders were unique an their own, each had great complimenting flavors and the bacon was perfectly sweetened.

it's a good and bad thing this shop isn't near our home. we would go broke eating here too much🤪

Tiger Bay Cafe catered a staff lunch during the YWCA's professional development week. They graciously worked with our many nutritional needs and accommodated everyone seamlessly. The chicken wraps were delicious and the cookies were a hit! This was exactly the meal we needed for a relaxing break before heading back into a day of learning.

Good coffee. Tasty food made pretty quickly so you can take it on the go, if need be. Otherwise there's some cute but fairly uncomfortable seating available outside. We'll definitely visit again but will probably sit next door at the picnic tables.

The Big Waffle was the best waffle I’ve ever had!!! They didn’t hold back on the rich buttery flavor, and every interaction was lovely! The vibe was so fun. What a delightful find!!

One of West Asheville's best grab and go breakfast spots is tucked in the back of Battlecat Coffeehouse. Make sure to grab the Breakfast Bagel (an everything bagel with cream cheese, tomato, avocado, scrambled egg, and fresh cracked pepper) and get the Big Waffle to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Got a breakfast panini. Ordered online, had to wait just a few minutes, but I didn't mind because I like to know everything is fresh. It was delicious. Thanks for being fresh and convenient. :)

I visited here for the first time with some friends the other day and it was a wonderful experience! The staff is super friendly and it is definitely a safe space for POC and people of the LGBTQIA+ community 💖💖💖
We ordered online, and while we waited for our food, we were captivated by all the local art for sale. I ordered the Meil(?) iced latte and the breakfast bagel and it was SOOOOOOOOOO yummy 🤤, the bagel kept falling apart on me but I didn't care tbh lol.
Bottom line is, 10/10 I would come here again.

I go for the breakfast tacos. Id like to see some more GF options. I think they should renovate the building too (knock the walls down, get some new furniture, and replace the drafty windows so it will be cozy for winter).

Excellent food. A bit awkward locating the restaurant (it's in the back) but worth the trouble. Very west Asheville atmosphere.
