This is a great park right off of the interstate. The inner track is pretty unique and let's people really push themselves. There are other paths to follow as well outside of the circuit for walkers, skateboards, and roller blades. There is also a playground, basketball court, beach volleyball, and a hockey arena for those who are looking for fun. Great for all ages.

The care of Carrier Park was very good. I know heavy rains can cause issues of concern. I noticed one place that could benefit from an intervention, it's the dirt trail adjacent to the lawn bowling space. On that dirt trail, close to the asphalt parking lot the mud is getting Deep. Please brainstorm a lasting solution. This dirt trail is used by runners, walkers and others.

Such a cool park so many things to do also so organized. These young adults prayed for my family and I. This city is incredible, just peaceful and clean. Plus, it is full of wonderful people

This is a lovely park to play, run, walk, skate, bike, dance, ice skate (I think), walk your dog, or just chill with friends by the river.

Nice park, everything was clean. Cool concept for a speedway in the park. Bridges is a bit weird to access and get into the park. Hockey rink had great pavement, speedway had well maintained surface. Playground was clean.

What an amazing Park! I actually just stumbled across it while I was heading to the hospital after getting rear-ended on the highway. On the way back I stopped to check it out. They were tons of people they're doing all kinds of things. They have basketball courts, volleyball, Open Fields and in the middle there was a large circular track that looked something directly out of the Olympics. There were people bike riding, cycling and running. They also had an outdoor hockey rink that the local North Carolina roller derby team I was practicing, which was very cool to watch. Saw people dance roller skating just all kinds of stuff. There was even a little race car Memorial here as well. If I lived in the area I could see me hanging out here every weekend. Then it's based right on the side of a river which just maybe a half a mile down the road was a inner tube and kayak place you could rent to go into the river. Definitely a very cool place!

Let me tell you something this park right here is a whole different place. It has so much to offer a roller skating rink a large track to walk or cycling and an amazing kids play ground for big kids and little ones they have 2 concted basketball courts. They also have 2 sand valley ball courts as well as large areas of open Grass fields and that's just in the main play are they also have miles of Trails that run along the water and are just so well maintained what a Beautiful place for the community we are from out of town and you could spend at least 1 whole day exploring all the things they have here so happy we stumbled apon it. My favorite part is its also completely wheelchair accessible. Felt very family friendly. They have 2 Porta pottys that were well maintained.

My son participated in his first 5k here. There was plenty of space for runners participating and those that came for their morning exercise. There's a smaller track that takes about 12 laps for a 3 miles jog/walk, and a larger track that encompasses the entire park. This park contains a space for skating, biking and other wheeled activities and a nice size playground where minting social distance is possible. I believe this space even connects to the River Arts trails. So glad this space exists for family events and more!

Tons of activities in a well maintained park. My kids loved the play structure and I was really impressed with the volleyball and basketball courts, as well as the velodrome. Excellent public space!

Aside from bike people being typical and entitled/rude this is one of the best parks. Great for fun and exercising. There's a big track, volleyball courts, basketball court, children's play area, and a hockey rink. On a pretty day it can get packed. Favorite park!

I cant say enough about this park, my kids love it, they both have been at this john since infancy. They flip out if I say we are going and something happens. Besides for kids this is another great first date and last date spot. I love those. A river walk about 2 miles in length all in all ending at a dog park. Great jogging trail.

A great place for walking on the paved pathway along the French Broad River. It is a really beautiful place to walk along the river in the morning and especially in the evening.

Fantastic place. If you are looking for the playground, it's in the centre of the velodrome. It's an extensive one with all sorts of things for all ages. Velodrome is used by a variety of people and truly reflect a public space that encourages physical exercise. Basketball courts and friendly people are all part of the mix. We would definitely love to spend a bit more time here next time!

Done my first ever 5k in this park. It was amazing. To run by the river and on the trails. Some dirt and some paved. I was delighted and so happy to experience it. Especially with my son and his first 5k as well. It was the spooky run. I hope it becomes a ritual every year. So beautiful with the leaves changing.
