Checked out Dwyer’s Pub on a whim and it quickly became a favorite. The vibe is cozy and the staff make you feel like a local the second you step in. Loved the draft list - diverse and full of quality picks. The fish and chips? Spot-on crispy and flavorful. Dwyer’s is the kind of place that turns a quick drink into an evening out. Can’t wait to return!

Portsmouth's greatest new addition! This place is a must-see. I went for a few drinks after work and the place was crankin'. Great for a young professional crowd to meet new people, and prices are very fair. They also cater to family crowds. Come see the new kids on the block - Dwyer's Pub!

Great vibe and food... cauliflower and brussel apps were super tasty and the bang bang shrimp tacos too! Bonus our dog enjoyed the awesome cover band and all the love on the outside patio :)

Went here on Friday night. Of all my years of going to Portsmouth I've never stopped or checked it out. It's kind of hidden on the other side of the popular area. Came in and found a few spots at the bar. Both bar tenders were extremely attentive and nice. Made conversation and even told me the Juke box was free! Had some fried pickles and were delicious. Drinks were very good. As the night progresses it got busier and louder. Really awesome place to hangout. It smaller but one of the better places to hangout in Portsmouth. Well done!

We absolutely loved the vibe in here. We did make a reservation but I'm not entirely sure if it was needed, maybe we caught them on a slower part of the night. As we were leaving almost every seat was taken.

We sat at the bar were two fantastic bar tenders took care of us. They had a great cocktail and beer menu.

We decided to share some things, the brussel sprouts, spin dip( a special that night), and the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. All so tasty. The mac and cheese was surprisingly not overly heavy like most you get out.

Very excited to go back when we get a chance.

Cute and cozy little spot. Grabbed a quick drink. Espresso martini was like drinking an adult chocolate milk.

Francis was fantastic. Had the best food and drink this side of the Atlantic. We'll be back 100%.

Great neighbourhood gathering place, nice pub menu, good variety of beverages with a friendly staff. Had the opportunity to hear some fine tunes from the Canadian maritimes out on the patio, too! Be sure to stop in if you're in the Portsmouth area.

love each time I come here
the food: d e l i c i o u s. The mini pretzel bites, fried zucchini w ranch, sesame Brussels sprouts, and their cookie cake was out of this world.

drinks are great as well - I’ve only tried their variant espresso martinis (yum)

definitely a locals spot, also a spot to get away from main downtown, divey-ish, great art, small/cozy, absolutely fantastic bartenders.

Incredible cocktails in a funky house a few steps off the beaten path in Portsmouth (and worth every step). Great bartender and a bunch of friendly regulars make this a must-visit. Extra points for their wildly eclectic jukebox.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Portsmouth, and was expecting a typical "shamrocks and blarney" Irish bar, but was pleasantly surprised with this cozy little place, which is tastefully decorated in a fresh and contemporary style.

Had a pilsner, which was great, and I regretted not having a pint of the black stuff, since it looked top class.

The Guinness stew was delicious, and tasted as good as homemade stew from back in Ireland. The owner (Kevin) runs a tight ship, and the bar is spotlessly clean: I'd definitely make this place my local if I lived in Portsmouth!

friendly neighborhood bar. food and service were very good.
we stumbled across tuesday night trivia - the BEST I've ever experienced. Matt does awesome research on the questions and is a good DJ. Rich the emcee puts on a very entertaining show, he's very funny and engaging.

Cross over Maplewood for real family run pub with unique takes on pub fare. Nice local break from downtown Portsmouth but within easy walking distance of the Hampton/Courtyard/Hilton/Sheraton. Recommend the martini, good on-tap selection of New England brews.

I'm from Connecticut and had to drive to Portsmouth to pick up something and wanted fish-and-chips to go. Someone recommended Dwyer's. I have to say it is the best fish-and-chips I've ever had! I would absolutely drive up there again just to have lunch or dinner there.
They also had live music when I walked in. This is an absolute gem of a place. I will definitely visit again, when I can sit and have a drink and enjoy the music and the best fish-and-chips ever!

Thanks to Tristan and his co-worker during the arctic blast for their awesome service accommodating our group. Great time for a special event at Dwyers. The juke box music selection is pretty amazing too
