One of my favorite stores in the area. I buy all my dry herbs and spices here. The prices are good and the quality is very high. Stock + Spice is a great local resource for cooks who want something better than the grocery store spice rack. They also have other products such as honey and tea.

Awesome store! Was wandering around Portsmouth looking for Christmas ideas, and stumbled upon this place and found not only a great gift - a fun spice blend - but a place I'll certainly be coming back to for some of the kinds of spices that are relatively hard to get at the regular grocery store. Staff was super helpful helping me pick out the right thing, and clearly know their stuff. If you're someone who likes to cook, you'll definitely find something you like in here.

Was visiting from Montana and wandered in to see what they had that I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. Was impressed by the selection and walked out with a pile of spices and blends.

Prices are higher than you might expect, but well worth it for the quality you get. The store is worth a trip inside just for the sensory experience of smell and taste.

Got home and cooked up some chicken with the berbere seasoning. Absolute delight. Promptly got online after cleaning up to see if they shipped since I knew I wouldn't be back in Portsmouth for another year. They do, and in substantial quantities to make the shipping cost worthwhile. My order was filled and shipped within less than 24 hours. Quality and efficiency at its best.

Fantastic store with a great selection and staff. I'm so glad we decided to turn onto that little alley and pop in; I'll be cooking in style for quite a while now.

The gem of Portsmouth, in fact, of New England and beyond. The spice blends are crafted and prepared by the chef-owner, Paula Sullivan, an experienced New England chef, and 2 other James Beard award-winning local chefs. Many of the spice ingredients are sourced from local farms. The blends and single ingredient spices have transformed my home cooking. I don't go anywhere else for spices. The hot Mexican cocoa, made with local chiles, is divine. I drink it all year-round. Favorite spice blends are berbere, ras el hanout, curry #1, lavender sugar, local hot smoked paprika, and many single ingredients.

We were just wandering around Portsmouth, and this store had a neat variety of spices. It's also neat that you can see the origin of each spice.

A cute little store to grab and try new, high quality spices. They also have the best chocolate. This is my go to place for little gifts for my family, friends, or myself!

Beautiful local spice shop, carrying staples, exotics, and some interesting blends that originated in faraway lands. The owner was quite happy to talk food with me too, which I always appreciate :P

Super nice/helpful staff with quality products, for a decent price too. This was my first time making indian food and it turned out great using spices from stock + spice.
