Elaine was very good. The house had been a vacation home for us during summers. We had previously listed with another agent from the area where the property was located, but they suggested a price way too high and there were few showings.
Elaine had seen the property listed and that it had been taken off from the market. She had a client looking to move to that area (had grown up there) and contacted us. She met us there and we listed with her. The property sold in less than six months, after several showings. She kept us informed when there were showings and with feedback from those showings.

When we interviewed agents to help us sell our 6 acre framstead in Harmony PA, most had the same response. They wanted to concentrate on the house and gave little attention to the land and outbuildings, even though a centerpiece of the property is a 150 year old historic log barn that's in great shape.

As soon as Elaine met us, she toured the barn, the large equipment building and the heated workshop. We did that and walked the land for an hour before we even went into the house.

That's what told us that Elaine would be the best agent for our sale. She always looks beyond the obvious and really learns both the property and the owners before she builds a plan. She listened to our suggestions, kept us on course when needed and handled difficulties well.

There are not enough good things that I can say about Elaine Shetler-Libent. My husband and I were looking for a unique property in that we needed enough acres to build a barn and move our horse onto the property, wanted a mid-sized and fairly new home that we wouldn't have to put a ton of work into, and also needed to be close to my husband's work and within a reasonable budget as young first-time home buyers. We went through 2 realtors who just sent us a bunch of properties that didn't really fit our needs, and made it clear that they weren't listening to us and didn't have the connections or knowledge they needed to find us the property we were looking for. Then we found Elaine, who seemed to know everyone, had excellent relationships with local inspectors and lenders that she could refer us to, and had a list of agents who knew that she was the go-to for buying the type of property we were looking for and contacted her as they were listing properties. She was knowledgeable about what to look for when touring a property, made excellent points about all the random little things that a home buyer wouldn't even think of, and we ended up buying the second property we looked at with her. She responded to our e-mails and calls promptly, guided us through the buying process seamlessly, helped us work with a lender who seemed to be really interested in the best option for us, and we had a super smooth closing. The best part? Elaine still checks in on us to see how things are going and if we need anything. I am so, so grateful that we found her and we tell all of our friends and family that they should reach out to her, no matter what their home-buying needs may be.
