Market District Supermarket

Best cookie cake ever. The amount of frosting. The word ugly being straight up written on it. This is my birthday cake this year and I’m so excited.

I love shopping here. The only suggestion I would make is keeping the scan and go kiosk available even after hours. Makes it easier to get in and out. You can use the scanner to scan the barcode at the self checkout as well as the dedicated scan and go area so it doesn't make any difference if they keep this option open, in my opinion. It's so much easier to scan, drop your groceries in your bag as you shop and then leave.

This is one of my favorite market District locations. One of the benefits is that it has covered parking which is great for when it is raining. I always used to enjoy talking with the cheese monger who actually special ordered me cheese whenever they stopped stocking my favorite type of cheese. I also really love the hot sauce selection here. There’s always a great selection and something new.

This supermarket is my regular, the staff are friendly and variety of product is great. They have “Giant Eagle” brand items that are less expensive than the main brand but still tasteful. This placating also includes: A wine/alcohol cellar, Starbucks, Hackett, deli, and much more!
Will come many times again!

I love this place. It’s always clean and the check out people are always friendly. I was about to lose $15 if I didn’t use my points and the checkout person let me know that the points and $15 were going to expire in a day. Thank you for taking out the time to tell me.

The District Market on Center Avenue has always struck me as a top-notch place. It's a destination that entices you to spend time browsing through its aisles. It's not overwhelming like a Sam's or Walmart, but it is spacious, and you can find a wide variety of offerings. However, I noticed that their section for cheese, pickles, olives, and antipasti has significantly diminished, which was one of my favorite spots. Even so, it still deserves recognition as a go-to place for shopping and finding everything you need without feeling overwhelmed.

Great place to get lunch!

It is a complete market where you can easily buy everything you would have thought of. The groceries are well lay out and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The customer services are great.

Has most about everything you would need from vegetables, fruits, milk, yogurts, juices, frozen foods, meat, seafood, packaged/ canned items to even a section for alcohol, a bakery and a pharmacy. Only problem is if you search for something in the app there's no aisle number to refer to when finding it. Also there are discounts if you use the app and create an account. If you r a regular customer u can save quite a lot over the year. Compared to Aldi's next door there is more variety here but it is a little more expensive. The customers and staff are nice and friendly.

Good store with good selection of stuff. They always have fresh okra in stock, which is generally hard to find. However, they don't stock soybeans.

I really love Market District a real good place to park I feel safe when I shop there I love shopping there Aaliyah right down the street the employee they are very very helpful the employee everybody act like their love their job

This Giant Eagle is Beautiful and Spacious!
And the service is Wonderful. They are polite and very helpful.

Anthony was eager to assist me, today. He knew exactly where the clam juice and potato starch were located. He even went and got them for me. Excellent service with a smile. He is appreciated.

Very nice grocery store. There is a parking garage and elevators, Both will help you stay dry when you're out shopping. The store is a little older but very quaint. You can still find all of your grocery needs and cosmetic needs here

Very convenient (on bus line one block from UPMC Shadyside Hospital); well stocked; multiple self checkout registers (however, not all lanes open which led to unnecessary wait times in lines). Bought these lovely lilies this morning. When is the nicest things when you enter the Market District Giant Eagle Shadyside on Center Avenue is it's like walking into the White House you have a floral arrangements and greeting you with Starbucks to the left Beyond at the wine and spirits and then all of the Gourmet foods that are made right there at the store and then you can continue on with your shopping as you drink your Starbucks.

Enjoyed my experience! Food and service in the area were equally exceptional.

This place always has exactly what I'm looking for. It seems to be slightly better staffed since the closing of the Shakespeare Street location. The tall Black man in his kufi hat is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the store products.
