Emory Decatur Hospital

I had the most pleasant pre operation experience here at Emory surgery center Decatur from the moment I walked into this place I would like to give flowers to the amazing Ladies I encountered today Mrs. DD, Mrs Pearlie B, and Mrs. Jessica. They all went above and beyond preparing me for my upcoming surgery and being sure I understood everything and was confident about surgery. I’m amazed with how overly nice they were. Emory is always my number one care providers they take very good care of me.

I LOVED MY EXPERIENCE!!! I'm scheduled for surgery soon and I just had my pre-op visit. Every face was smiling and it made me feel better about what's to come. I understand the procedure, what to expect, what I need to do, what the hospital will do, and what I need to do from now until then. There was pleasant conversation, wonderful health advice, and high level professionalism.
I don't know how they did it, but the staff was PERFECT and EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!!
I'm actually looking forward to seeing them on my surgery date to ease my fears again.

Had a procedure completed here yesterday and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They knew my name as I approached in the hallway, kept checking on me, giving me blankets, making me comfortable, and they were thorough. My anesthesiologist, Melynee, was so kind and helped me make it through that surgery. I definitely recommend this hospital.

The staff was knowledgeable, delightful and helpful. My intake nurse, Mrs. Dee, was super sweet, insightful and calming. She answered all my questions and put my mind at ease regarding my upcoming surgery.

I had the most wonderful experience at this hospital everyone was so nice. Especially the lady that was drawing my blood . Ms.Pearlie Byrd at the 2701 N Decatur Rd Decatur GA 30033 I love how she made me comfortable knowing that I had anxiety . I will definitely recommend her to anyone . Thank you so much for being YOU GOD BLESS YOU !!!

Although the wait was lengthy, no matter what staff/administration I came in contact with, they were amazing. They listened, they had great bedside manner, had no issues putting together my medical history, and did not run unnecessary tests. What people have to understand is that they take everyone so the wait will be longer.. There were people in the waiting lobby that probably come every other day, and I saw them being treated with respect. Even if you’re dissatisfied with the wait, you should 5star them for their medical knowledge and service!!!

I enjoyed the entire experience of pre and post op. It was very easy to follow user friendly as to where facility located for both pre and post. Comfortable facilities, food services offered to waiting family in same venue. Nurses, techs, resident students, doctors courteous, professional, nice, and thorough. J Hurd

I had two procedures performed at Emory Decatur Hospital at the Heartburn Solutions Center. The staff took good care of me. They explained everything in detail and were courteous. Kudos to David, Cindy, Paula, Carmel, Patricia, and Dr. Kamean. Job well done.

Pre op clinical staff was professional, friendly and supportive. The facility was clean. I was at the Dr. Bobby Bailey Surgery Center. Shout out to Melissa Milton, Unit Director and her staff: Jessica, Pearlie, Beverly, Ansley and Bria. Good job!

I personally want to thank the nurses that took care of my father, Charles from 8/2023-1/2024 during his stay. Thank you for tireless efforts, your empathy, and your incredible strength. Your compassion and kindness made each day a little better. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

A family member has had numerous test visits at the Glenn Family Breast Center over the last couple of years. I take my family member to the appointments each time and interact with the staff. I am always impressed with the caring and kind demeanor of the staff. It starts with the valet parking female who is always friendly and upbeat and caring. She does a great job.

I went in today to see Miss DD and Miss Bird and another young lady. I think her name was Ashley or Alicia for my pre-operation visit, and everyone was great and made me feel at home and like family. Great job, everyone.

My experience this morning was great. I appreciate the time and patience Nurse DiDi had and NP Kereene thoroughness with what to expect on my surgery date. Very Thankful and pray that Emory consider more staff as these two Queen's 🌹

My mom had hip surgery. Dr. Boswell and the entire Emory team have been nothing but professional and kind to our family! We’re very pleased with our experience this far!

First colonoscopy made all the easier by a very pleasant friendly staff. Definitely felt lucky I had Cindy—- who was willing to laugh and smile and answer all the questions.

Ms.Barbara palmer is a wonderful EVS tech. She works hard and makes sure she keeps the place nice and spotless just as everyone else who is in the EVS field . The nurses and techs were wonderful and did an outstanding job of making sure the patients were well taken care of. They made sure to keep up with the patients medication and would give it to them at the right time. Emory has a wonderful staff that shows their compassion, diligence, and perseverance in their work. They never fail to make sure the patients are well taken care of so that they can go home feeling much better. I love how the physical therapy, respiratory therapy team, and the dietician did their jobs to make sure my fathers breathing was going well, to make sure his movements were balanced, and making sure he was eating the right foods that aligned with his diet. I love the hospitality of the EVS techs and nurses. They have greet people with open and welcoming hands. They made me feel welcomed and made sure I had all of my questions answered as well as making sure my father was getting all the care he needed.

Wow I am so grateful for the medical professionals at this hospital. I thank God for preservation of my life along with the doctors, medical staff and the nutritionist staff. My experience has been a life changing one and strengthed my faith and character. God bless everyone at this hospital and thank you for saving my life. I have had 3 surgeries at this hospital the service was great the doctors nurses everyone was top notch can't say anything negative will always go there

Went to the hospital for my dad’s pre op appointment & the nurses were helpful and informative. More specifically, Didi Dottin helped us during our appointment & was beyond helpful! She was very assuring and a great conversationalist. I totally recommend!

Emory is a great facility with great doctor and nurses. The environmental team was great as well. I recommend this hospital to anyone that need care.
